Gale Miami Hotel & Residences ★★★★★

📍 601 Northeast 1st Avenue, Miami

"A nice hotel. We had a two-bedroom, living room room (with a kitchenette, but the only kitchen utensils were a sink, refrigerator, trash can, coffee maker, and a drawer with spoons, plates, and glasses). The mattresses were very comfortable. Our room was clean and had a nice view from the veranda. The deposit was $300 (for three nights), plus a resort fee. The pool was warm (heated) due to the tall buildings. The sun shines in the pool area until about 4 p.m., then it gets shaded and cool. The location is good; you can even walk there."

"Great location, close to everything. The lobby is huge, modern, and stylish, and there's a bar on the top floor. The room itself is a bit small, and there isn't enough space for a large suitcase. However, the cleanliness and service are both excellent."

Kompose Boutique Hotel Miami Airport ★★★
"Hotel itself was fine. Was a bit annoyed that the bar was not open even for a soft drink if wanted till much later. When I went down to get a bite to eat I was informed that most of the menu was not available and my selection was limited to about three items to choose from. What I found most annoying was that apparently they had some type of youth group training going on on my floor which was right next to my room. Numerous times I heard the participants laughing or conversing loudly in the hall way. Whenever I decided to leave my room to go downstairs I had to run through a gantlet of participants who were having their break out session in the hallway of which I had to walk through disrupting their conversations. While they were polite about it, it did make me feel uncomfortable to leave the room while they were doing this. When I did mention to the desk what was going on they told me about the group which was fine but I wish they would have put me on another floor if this was going on. Overall it was just an overnight stay here before a cruise but honestly next time I would choose a different hotel."

"It was good. The location is far from downtown and not so good. However, it is a chain hotel, so it is not bad to use if you trust it. However, it smells a bit musty. It seems a bit old. The water comes out well, the bed is comfortable, and the electricity works well."
