Our honeymoon stay at Heritage Awali couldn’t be better, from the beautiful facilities, to food and, more importantly, the staff! During our 9-night stay we got spoiled 😂 The room we got was comfortable, always cleaned when we needed (special thanks to Ansha) and it had one of the best showers I ever used. Hotel staff is also very friendly and prompt to book the activities they offer, as well as calling for a taxi for us to explore Port Louis, Chamarel and Le Morne at a reasonable price. About the food: this is the best I’ve eaten during so many consecutive days, too. All restaurants had great selection of dishes, providing diverse lunch and dinner every single day without disappointments. Seriously: every meal was a happy one (during and after 😅). We went many times to Infinity Blue, twice to Zafarani (which was amazing and cheers to the chef who always went from table to table asking if things were alright), also tried the Savana buffet, C Beach Club, Golf Club and Amafrooty (the Katsu Burger from lunch menu there is sooo good). I recommend trying each of the restaurant options at least in one meal with or without an All Inclusive stay. Drinks options are also nice and every restaurant/ bar had some special things to try (aside from great non-alcoholic choices). To sum up: this was a great place to be at and I enjoy the fact that we did not go on a high season (so there were much less people and crowds, less hassle and potential problems and restaurant reservations could be made at same day depending on demand). The hotel decoration, landscapes & plants are so nice we even took walks after every dinner just to enjoy the view. After all: it was to be more around nature that we chose this place (and its normal to see animals, geckos, insects when you walk around). One feedback many people already pointed out, though, is about communication: when booking a tour with them, make sure they tell exactly where to go/ who to talk to or what to do. Due to a little misunderstanding we ended up not having the best experience when visiting Chamarel (we didn’t know where to get our complimentary drinks and never got them, and because we went too early we had to wait until lunchtime to enjoy the lunch from the tour package - which luckily the taxi knew in which restaurant it was). Anyways, hoping that the place and nature around it are always well preserved for many years ahead, and I wish to come back one day. :)
