As many have pointed out, this is a nice refuge from the chaotic heart of Djemma al-fenna (The Big Square, as the local call it - the Koutoubia Mosque is opposite as well). It’s an easy 10 min walk. Amenities for basics are nearby - pharmacy, money changer, SIM cards (PS I did an e-Sim which was so much more convenient), etc. There’s a slight local neighbourhood vibe to this whole place. Rooms are generous for 2 with sufficient space for luggage etc. Beds are comfortable and clean. There’s a well-stocked bar but keep in mind that this is not exactly a party spot, things will kinda “close” by about 10ish pm or so? At least, it felt like it (which was fine for me because I like an early night). I’m also told this is a partially residential neighbourhood. Also good for me because it means good sleeps! Anyway, ask - the staff are incredibly obliging. There’s a small, well-curated menu for dining in-house but again, this is a riad (not a hotel) so you’ll need to give them time to get your food ready. There is a kitchen but I honestly doubt it’s 24hrs. Again, ask. PS: The chicken tagine is delicious! There are no lifts and the staircases are a bit narrow so keep thar in mind if you are travelling with large suitcases. Again, it’s a riad not a hotel. But the staff are incredibly helpful (and strong!) Most importantly, do not let all of this deter you from booking Riad Les Yeux Bleus. This is just my way of managing expectations. It is a charming space. And the service is excellent. Obliging, attentive without obsequious. Nice and friendly. After a long day trudging about the souks and the city, it was really nice to come back, take a nice deep breathe and have a beer in the courtyard :)
