Riad Dar Zaya

This is such a beautiful riad with very friendly service. They will make you feel like you’re home. I would also recommend you order dinner here - it’s one of the best meals I had in Morocco and you can eat it on the rooftop terrace with wonderful views. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. The riad itself is beautiful and authentic.

Great place to stay for the tired traveler. Service was amazing. The management staff had great local recommendations and even helped with securing local products and get it delivered to the hotel. Beautiful decor. Highly recommend it for future travelers.

Really romantic riad to stay in - it's connected with another riad so you get to see two riads all for the price of one. The rooms are a bit dark for my liking - better lighting would be better. Also, we had a triple room, and I wasn't aware that there wasn't a third bed in the room - a layaway bed was provided but it was way too soft to sleep on. Finding the riad is quite challenging - we were led by the person from our prior riad and he had trouble finding it so definitely ask riad to meet you beforehand. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the rooftop was the best one that we saw in Fes and Marrakech.

We stayed at Riad Dar Zaya for several days and had a GREAT experience!! The riad is in the heart of the Medina, just a few minutes from the Jemaa El Fna square. At the beginning it is not easy to reach but just call and they will pick you up (so forget who says it is unreachable, in case keep in mind the bar with the Illy sign, around the corner there is the alley that takes you to the Riad). The rooms are all beautifully decorated with Moroccan furnishings, the bathrooms are beautiful! (especially the shower!), the rooms are very spacious, the beds very comfortable, very clean, with wifi and air conditioning. The internal courtyard has a small and beautiful swimming pool but you can also use the one of the connected riad and of the same property. Among the strong points is the staff: the guys are FANTASTIC!!!!!!! THANK YOU for your absolute availability, kindness and professionalism!! the kindness of the lady who prepares the food is unique, like the courtesy of the lady who manages the rooms. The manager of the Riad is very prepared to offer you information on the city and on tours. The breakfast is excellent with fresh and local products, it nourishes you until the evening! The terrace is a ENCHAN**ENT...especially in the evening when the sun goes down, when the muezzins sing from the minarets. Moving. There is a peace and silence throughout the Riad that you don't expect, because it really is in the middle of the souk and in the heart of Marrakesh. We couldn't ask for more, it was a stay that we will keep in our hearts forever. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!

AWFUL Place. It's not a 4-star hotel as it promotes; it is a house guest and a poorly run one. The rooms are dirty and not well kept; the carpets looked like they have not been clean in months. The water pressure in the shower was little next to none. The bed in the room was broken down the mattress made it impossible to sleep. There are no facilities, like places to eat or drink, free or paid. The Hotel is hard to find, it is deep inside the Medina, and you have to walk in some dark alleys with no proper signs to find the hotel. Overall, AVOID this property, there are more convenient and better places you can stay in the Medina or outside of it. If you are looking for a nice place to rest and relax while exploring the city, this is not the place to stay. If you already booked please cancel and book another place. Otherwise, they will try to charge the whole amount or another amount that come up at their discretion.

Lovely Riad in the heart of the Medina, room clean, authentic and spacious overlooking a central courtyard. Roof top area giving views over Marrakech. Karim our host was a lovely young man who could not do enough to make your stay comfortable and Khamsa’s ( number 5 😁) smile cheered us up each morning. Breakfast was good. Without help the Riad was quite difficult to find initially. Highly recommended

We stayed during Feb half-term, in the quest of some winter sunshine. We had a wonderful time, Right in the heart of the old town, but the hotel was so calm and peaceful. They looked after us extremely well, and collected us from the airport - just as well as we would never have found the place by ourselves... Note for future guests - they meet you outside the terminal building

We loved our stay at Riad Dar Zaya! Yassine was kind, helpful and communicative even before our trip. He helped us make arrangements for getting ourselves and our bags to and from the riad, and even arranged for us to have wine with dinner or on the terrace (wine and beer are hard to find in the medina). The space itself is beautiful and comfortable with a lovely rooftop terrace. It is conveniently located right off of Jemaa El Fna. I would highly recommend this lovely riad!

Very challenging to find, eveb with the help of two locals. But once there, it was a nice location
