Riad Dar Chadia

Riad Chadia made my Moroccan vacation unforgettable. Their team was incredibly professional and accommodating, tailoring the trip to my preferences. I stayed at this Riad for a week with friends. The Riad is centrally located in the medina, but a few blocks away from all the nose and the hustle and bustle – great for getting some peace from the typical noise. The best part about staying here was Said. He was the perfect manager/concierge during our trip! He showed us the way to get the central square in the medina so that we wouldn’t get lost, and told us where to go to for currency exchange and an ATM. Said arranged taxi transport to/from the airport (I recommend) and to whatever places we wanted to visit while there. He facilitated reservations for us when we had difficulty, and was an overall joy to have there, during our trip. They even brought out some sweets with candles to wish my friend a happy birthday while we were there. The owners were also very nice, hospitable, helpful, and they all made us feel very welcome. We booked the room on the terrace, and I would certainly suggest booking that room, if possible, as it is the most spacious. Having the terrace right outside of our room was nice. Housekeeping came to clean, & refresh towels every day. If you’re looking to stay in the medina and looking for a Riad, I would recommend Dar Chadia.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Dar Chadia when we first arrived in Morocco. An airport transfer was arranged for us when we first arrived, met us as expected just outside the terminal and we were at the nearest parking spot within about 25 minutes. It was then a short walk through the medina to the riad but we were met and helped with our bags. We were greeted with mint tea and biscuits on arrival and were going to be given all the relevant information but our baby was very warm and needed feeding so the room was ready early and we went straight off to sort her out first which was very helpful. We then were able to meet Said properly and he told us about the riad and all about the area, how to get to the main square, etc. The riad is tucked away in the medina so very quiet but such a short walk away from Djema El Fna Square and with lots of shops and stalls very nearby. We felt perfectly safe walking day or night with our baby. The riad itself was lovely, perfectly clean and so nicely presented. The room was perfect and the air conditioning was so welcomed in the Marrakech heat. Breakfast was standard for Morocco and had variations each day with some pastries and yoghurts. The roof terrace was lovely with a view of the rooftops, the main mosque and the Atlas mountains in the distance. Our stay really was made by his lovely and friendly Said was. He was always on hand to help our to answer any questions and he was so wonderful with our baby - he even held her over at the reception desk one morning so that we could eat breakfast together. It was such a lovely introduction to Morocco and we're so glad we chose to stay there.
