Myself and my friend booked a last minute spa package at Taplow House Hotel. Before arrival we were given our evening meal time and the time of our trea**ents. Due to it being a last minute booking they couldn’t fit us in for trea**ents until Sunday morning, the day we checked out which we could understand. We made use of the spa, although this is just a Sauna and an outdoor hot tub with some sun loungers around. Luckily the sun was out so we could be outside. We arrived for our trea**ent on Sunday morning where we were asked to take a seat while they found out where the therapists were. We waited for 30 minutes to eventually be told the agency staff had not turned up and we were unable to have our massage/facial. During this 30 minute wait, staff were round the corner discussing what was happening, laughing and giggling rather than keeping us updated. After being told our trea**ents wouldn’t go ahead we were taking to reception where our details would be taken in order for a refund to be processed. We were told a manager would contact us on Monday, which they didn’t. We continued to call throughout Tuesday as well as emails being sent to the manager. By Friday no one had contacted us, 5 emails were ignored by the manager and over 20 phone calls were made. We were continuously told someone would call us back but they didn’t and the manager was supposedly in meetings all day everyday.. By Friday I eventually spoke to reception host Stacey who took my number directly to the finance manager and within 10 minutes called me to say the refund had been processed. There has been no communication and the customer service has been awful. Safe to say we will not be returning and would not recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing spa break.
