Ulasan Derlon Hotel Maastricht

Ik had 1 2 -ersoonskamer geboekt, naast een aktie van ING waarbij ik 2 2-persoonskamers kon boeken met ontbijt. Bij de online reservering heb ik voor deze ene kamer "met ontbijt" aangegeven, aangezien mijn ING kamers dat ook hadden. Bij de bevestiging van de reservering was meteen duidelijk dat met ontbijt zonder ontbijt bleek te zijn geworden, hoe weet ik nog steeds niet. Ik heb meteen telefonisch contact gezocht met Derlon receptie en mij werd verzekerd dat dit een bug was in het systeem en dat het wel degelijk een kamer MET ontbijt was. Daarop vertrouwende heb ik geen schriftelijke bevestiging meer gevraagd. Vrijdag j.l. bij aankomst vroeg ik nogmaals of alle 3 de 2-persoonskamers MET ontbijt waren gereserveerd. Dat werd bevestigd, alleen toeristenbelasting mocht ik direct betalen. Bij uitchecken werd geconstateerd dat ik nog 2 ontbijten a 55 euro totaal mocht betalen. Ik heb toen wat stampij gemaakt en hierover geklaagd en bovenstaande allemaal aangegeven. Uiteindelijk heeft men 1 ontbijt alsnog aan mij gefactureerd. Ik ben hier erg ontevreden over. Bovendien was de kamer die wij niet via ING geboekt hadden klein (kamer 206); we konden onze grote koffer niet kwijt. Douche was minimaal met een vreselijk douchegordijn en een p*sstraaltje water. Hotel Derlon? Mooie locatie maar vergane glorie en heeft zijn administratie en clientvriendelijkheid niet op orde.

Prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding, suggestie is; badkamer opknappen, toilet borstel niet aanwezig.

Ales prima, maar 's avonds veel lawaai van de buren aan de overkant.

Mooie locatie. Fijne kamer. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel!

This hotel is in the best location to visit the city surrounded by bars, restaurants and the church. Lovely atmosphere and well lit at night. Reception staff welcoming. Room lovely and spacious, dont expect a brilliant view but not there for that. My only niggle would be that the beds are quote narrow, apart from that couldn't fault it. We didn't eat here but food and drink looked amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Prime located in Maastricht, this modern but cosy hotel has all to make your stay pleasant and a success. Its clear new management emphasized on attracting excellent staff, just making the experience personal and very enjoyable across the hotel. Good restaurant, and great wine selections made by the sommelier. The room is comfortable, airco system very handy. Last, the breakfast location (tasty local food), honouring Maastrichts Roman past is a good surprise. Do not let other reviews put you off, worth a visit!

This is a superb hotel. The staff are friendly, attentive and always wiling to go the extra mile for guests. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, the breakfast are absolutely marvellous and its location is excellent. Thoroughly recommend it.

we arrived at the hotel to visit the roman ruins underneath , the staff were lovely, so friendly, some of the nicest people we met in the netherlands. the ruins were amazing we loved it, thank you for allowing access. The town of maastricht was ok, lots of shops , we walked around to enjoy the history, the staff in the information office were so rude, talking to themselves could not care less about helping, and no toilets in the whole town what an uncivilised place. Much nicer places than maastricht, try woerden its magic

Very nice hotel right in the centre of Maastricht. Extremely comfortable, large beds, good service, very nice breakfast (in the lower floor in the middle of the ruins of the first Roman settlement in Maastricht…2000 years of history). Very good restaurant with a small carte, in which you can find your way easily. Good personnel. I went there many times… constant quality.

We stayed last Saturday evening organised by Andre Rieu Travel. The room was described as “De luxe double” and cost over £300 including breakfast. Having attended a concert previously, we found the hotel did not offer its normal menu but a limited pre-concert offering. I phoned some weeks ago and checked if this would be the case again. As it was, I asked if the hotel would email the menu when available before we booked a table. None arrived and, staying in Cologne the night before, I reminded them by email. I was told it still was not available but to ask again at check-in. When we arrived actually an hour before our room was available, I asked again - only to be told there was no availability. Great! You might describe our room as bijou. It was an attic room in the eaves full of mis-matched fabrics and a tiny bathroom. I cannot tell you how many times I hit my head. When we were asked at check-out, “How was our stay”, I commented, “It was not the smallest room I have even stayed in, but close.” One receptionist turned to the other and said knowingly, “311”. The corridor smelt badly of damp or stale food or both. Rarely do I check out escape routes in the case of fire but this time I did. Breakfast was in their dimly-lit Roman ruin and was OK as far as choice was concerned but the queue for the only coffee machine was 8-deep. In all very underwhelming. The only redeeming feature was - the concert was excellent.

Great hotel in city-center Maastricht. Nice rooms, good breakfast and good food. The terrace in front of the hotel is incredible. The staff is unbelievably kind and helpful. Special thanks to Demi and Femke who arranged to ship a forgotten iPhone charger to our home-address.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Service both in the hotel and the restaurant very good. However our Premium deluxe room had the beautiful view they promised but had also serious issues with street noise. Until 2 AM from the restaurants and the later from all the cleaning crews.

We stayed at the Derlon Hotel over Easter weekend in the Andre Rieu suite. I went to school for a semester in Maastricht 33 years ago, so this was a bit of a homecoming to visit old friends. In my opinion, the hotel has the best location in Maastricht on the Onze Lieve Vrouweplein. The entire square is filled with outdoor seating for the many bars and restaurants that line it. We spent lots of time there in the beautiful weather. Besides the restaurants right on the square, we walked to dinner at La Taverna and Le Fernand while we were there and also picked up pastries (vlaai!!!) from the Bisschopsmolen bakery, which is right across the street from Le Fernand. The room had a large King size bed, a sitting area, an enormous terrace with lots of seating, and a glassed-in bathroom. The bathroom was a little strange to us. There is zero privacy with all the glass. Luckily, we maintained the mystery in our marriage by maintaining distance when it was being used. I loved the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner that were provided. I believe the brand is "Zealot". The staff was very friendly and accommodated each and every request I had and answered all my questions. Hopefully, I'll return to Maastricht soon. This is where I will stay.
