Premier Inn Liverpool (Roby)

Chose this premier inn for its free parking. A short walk to the train station that will take you straight into the city centre . We had unsettled sleep due to noisy heavy footed people above us ,reported to reception they told us they were checking out ,they didn't we had 1 week of hardly any sleep. Although we didn't use the restaurant it was always busy .

Location was excellent, close to Roby train station which takes you into Liverpool in around 15 minutes. Plenty of parking. The floor boards are very creaky and you can hear every movement above you, so be warned! The restaurant next door is OK, but the food is pretty poor and the restaurant is very grubby and in need of TLC.

Very professional from immediate interaction at the reception. Receptionist was so pleasant ,welcoming and helpful. She organised a table to eat in the restaurant and the service we received was excellent in the restaurant really helpful waitress and she ensured we always had drinks if required, excellent service. This is how a premier inn should provide a service, a very friendly atmosphere was provided from all the staff. I really enjoyed my visit and will be coming back as a regular, Well done Robby

A very disappointing stay. Hotel and rooms in need of TLC, floors creaky and furnishings tired. Room was at back of hotel and very cold. No heating in the room. When asked for maintenance to have a look at controls was told they didn't come until a Thursday (day I left!) meaning a 3 night 4 day stay with no heat. I asked for heaters and the one supplied barely pumped out any heat. No phones in room so any complaints had to be done at reception which meant as a solo traveller I had to walk around the hotel at night. Did not feel safe especially when there was never anyone on reception duty and front door was open when I went down there at different hours of the day. Hotel generally cold - even staff wore coats at all times. No refreshments in room - supplies at the front which we all gone by time I got back in evening.

We were lucky to be given a lovely big family room overlooking the gardens and golf course. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and we were really impressed by the warm welcome we received. What really surprised us was the quality of the food in the restaurant which definitely deserves top marks. Courtney who served us was great, really friendly and a credit to the Premier Inn. We stopped here overnight as we were attending the comic con in Liverpool and this hotel was only a 20 minute drive from the city centre but a fraction of the price a more central hotel would have cost. We only wanted a place to rest our heads before attending the comic con in the morning and really didn’t expect to have such an enjoyable stay there. We would highly recommend this premier inn.

Very friendly welcome on arrival. Bedroom was very spacious and comfy (double and single bed for 1 adult 1 child). Breakfast was really good; there was lots to choose from and frequently topped up. Shout out to Steph on reception - she was amazing! She was lovely and went out of her way to chat to us (especially my son with additional needs). On our 2nd night stay he called her his ‘bestie’ and didn’t want to leave. She definitely made the stay more relaxing and was very patient when answering the million questions he had as well as being friendly asking us about our plans/day. He looked forward to seeing her each time he walked past reception. Hope we get to come back here again next time we visit friends in Liverpool.
