Lisbon Serviced Apartments - Bairro Alto

Well equipped apt in centre of Lisbon, good stay for 3-4 pp. Service was good, checking in very easy and despite of the central location it was very silent at night. Only downside points: reaching the apar**ent implies a steep walk of about 10 minutes, the bathroom is clean but had a strong fried chicken smell (no idea where that came from) and the bedroom has no a/c.

We booked a week at the Lisbon Serviced Apar**ents - Bairro Alto based on positive reviews from previous visitors. The (eight room) four story apar**ents are located in the old hilly section of the city where steep and narrow sidewalks are the norm and are slippery during rain. The main entrance is via a short alleyway. Access to the outer main door entrance and individual apar**ents are very 21st century in that there is no reception. The outside door has a cypher lock and guests use a reservation number to get in. Once inside the 'lobby' space there is a kiosk/screen to check in and get an assigned room and cypher code for your room. The kiosk has language selections to help with directions. There also a one-way phone to speak with a person/assistance. The machine scans documents, i.e., passports or European ID cards. It took me ten minutes and the final phase was to take a photo of the QR square displayed to keep track of your room number and access code. There are four floors with two apar**ents on each floor. There is an elevator and stairs. The rooms are spacious and well outfitted with a mini kitchen, including dishes, cooking ware, dishwasher, clothes washer and refrigerator. The clothes washer is great, we used it and dried clothes on a clothes hangar that was stashed in the closet. There is a comfortable queen size bed with a large flat screen hanging on the opposite wall. A closet has a self-use strong box with directions (in English) to set-up a personalized multi-digit code during your stay. The bathroom is roomy with a shower stall instead of a bath. Plenty of windows, including in the bathroom. The cross street is named Rua Do Poco Dos *****s and is a main line for the local trams that pass through the neighborhood, with a tram stop maybe 100 feet from the apar**ents. Taxis pass through here as well. Small restaurants are plentiful within a 15-minute parameter. The popular Plaza del Comercio is about a twenty-minute walk or a Three Euro Tram ride away. Aside from steep streets, the area is safe, even a night. The apar**ents are a clean, good bargain for staying in Lisbon.

Great property! Clean, well stocked with the essentials… loved having an in-suite washing machine. Location is amazing - as the week went on, we realized that we were within walking distance to everywhere! As a bonus, Tram 28 stopped right outside the door - such a treat!

Apar**ents are well situated in one of the most popular districts, so easy to walk around but can hop on the tram only a couple meters away. This area is noisy but we expected that so if a light sleeper bring ear plugs as bins are also emptied at the crack of dawn. Apar**ent had everything we needed, shower gel and shampoo provided as well as washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. To be honest didn't do any cooking as resturants so good and cheap, so lucky to have 2 amazing cafes near. Room was cleaned daily, which was also good. Issues:- air con awkward to work we needed a bit of heat cold in March. Lockers there are 2 but no keys to use them, so if you leave cases it's by them and not secure. We had floor 3 good as higher up but we had two rooms of blokes above and coming in at 3-4 in the morning not great. Overall I would come back to these apar**ents as so central and clean

Pessima esperienza abbiamo prenotato tramite Booking e sono stati scandalosi ci hanno lasciato senza riscaldamenti nonostante le mille telefonate e aver pagato anticipatamente la stanza per due notti non avendo mandato nessuno in grado di riparare il riscaldamento nostro malgrado e dopo aver dormito la prima notte con i giubbotti per il freddo abbiamo preso le valigie e abbiamo dovuto pagare un’altra struttura per poter dormire al caldo segnalato il Disservizio a Booking hanno anche mentito dicendo che il riscaldamento era stato sistemato cosa non vera state attenti perché è gestito malissimo anzi non è proprio gestito sanno le problematiche e fanno finta di cadere dalle nuvole appartamento 4i state attenti
