Villa Vik - Hotel Boutique

A superb little gem tucked away near the beach. Food cooked to order and of the highest quality. Staff were attentive and friendly making our stay a real delight. The only request that I would make its that a seasonal vegetable was added to the main course dish to add colour and a different taste.

This was our second stay at the Villa Vik. Two weeks this time. We love the peace and quiet of the hotel and all the staff are just wonderful. Belfar especially. We stayed half board as we are no longer able to walk 30 mins there and 30 mins back again to the nearest local restaurant. The food at dinner would put us off coming again. We are not fussy people but some of it, especially the fish, was almost inedible. Two weeks and not a vegetable in sight! The restaurant unsurprisingly was very quiet in the evenings. Such a shame . Thankyou to all the staff who are wonderful.

This is a lovely small quiet hotel and the staff are amazing, couldn’t do enough for you but do not go here if you are a foodie, you will be disappointed, not good at all. You definitely need a car as you are in the middle of nowhere and the sea being 200 metres away is across an unmade path to a promenade but not a beach. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I am not sure I would class it as 5 stars.

The positives about this hotel are the bedrooms, communal areas and the pool and gardens. A nice team of staff but not enough to manage the hotel during our stay. The hotel is located in the suburbs of Arricife and it is a 15 - 20 minute walk to any cafes, restaurants, shops and bars. However, during our 4 night stay (half board) the food was very disappointing, especially the evening meal. A fixed menu, with only two choices for the starter and main, four for dessert. The standard and quality of the food was poor, unappetising and dull. On our final evening we decided to eat in Arricife; excellent food and a much better a**osphere than the hotel. We would not return to the hotel. Most guests had hired a car; we walked as the promenade is easily accessible and there are two old bikes, that can be borrowed. We chose this hotel based on many positive reviews; our experience was mixed hence a three star rather than five star review.

We’re sadly leaving Villa Vik after a week’s stay over Chris**as. This is a beautiful small hotel for adults only with personal and friendly service. Other reviews have likened it to staying in a private villa belonging to a good friend with excellent taste in art and we couldn’t agree more. Everything is so tastefully selected and presented and combines to create a calm and peaceful environment for guests to relax. The garden and pool are just lovely and, luckily for us, the hotel was quiet for most of our week so we enjoyed time in the garden alone more than once. Michaela and Belfer were the two primary members of the team who looked after us and both were absolutely fantastic. We had dinner in the restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed drinks in the bar in the evenings before and after dinner. From the hotel we walked into Arrecife and Playa Honda along the seafront, the location is perfect for both. Bicycles are available to use if preferred. We highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return.

I wrote a review about the terrible experience we had in Villa Disaster, but unfortunally it didn't appear yet. Absolutely not 5 star, only the prices are 5 star level. If you are willing to spend this kind of money on your holiday, you can find far better alternatives on the beautiful island of Lanzarote. Avoid!!!

Small hotel in serene settings but definitely not as described in the brochure The food is disgusting been served raw Staff are not interested if you complain apart from one lady called Belfar I definitely will not return

I had a brilliant, relaxing week at this gem of a little hotel. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and clean. The cleaning staff do an amazing job. I wanted to thank Belfar, Ryka (Hope I spelt that right!) and Abdul. They were all so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Thank-you all of you. If you want an adults only, small hotel, for a well earned rest, then this is the hotel for you.

Just back from here and got exactly what we were looking for,peace and quiet,tranquility nice surroundings. The Hotel was clean and tidy,as was all areas,the pool was heated,as was the jacuzzi,in both everyday,great for a bad back,lots of sun/shady areas to relax,no fighting for sun beds,or reserving them. We were B&B only,and this worked for us,the breakfast was a mix of continental and cooked,we enjoyed both,staff were faultless,especially,Belfar.The rooms cleaned twice a day,unheard of in many places,appreciated,but would have been happy with just the one,hats off also to the cleaning ladies,i find if you treat people with respect and kindness,you get it back ten fold,we certainly did,thankyou all for looking after us. Yes its a walk to anywhere,but we knew this before hand,and loved our daily walks to Arrecife or Playa Honda,the hotel also provided bikes ,free of charge,not the best but they did for us,the better bikes are chargeable,we didn't see the point. There's a bus stop 5min walk also,this is a very quiet private residential area,no loud music etc,a total chillout all together. We had a couple of issues with certain things,i spoke with Belfar about it, when leaving i left a note with the lady and that was that,no need to be on here giving negative feedback when its not necessary. All in all a great holiday for us,a last minute deal that we were glad we clicked on. Thanks to you all,we got more than we expected,and will return. John X Daiva x
