Kyoto Guesthouse HIVE

This was a fantastic deal for a delicious breakfast! Centrally located hostel in Kyoto. 650 yen for an all you can eat breakfast buffet- fresh ingredients and a wide variety of different foods to chose from for all family members! Would not miss this!

It was my first time in Japan and I wanted to have a capsule hotel experience. After reading a lot of reviews, I decided on the Kyoto Morris. I'm glad I did. The property is nearby all the major landmarks so you're walking or biking distance to the most important sights in Kyoto. They have free bikes for guests which you leave a 1000 yen deposit for. I would recommend biking in Kyoto, the streets and alleys are incredible and you sometimes stumble upon happenings or places that were not in your radar. The place is very modern. I booked one of the private rooms, which felt more hotel than hostel. The rooms, the bathroom and the showers feel brand new and it's spotlessly clean. The lounge and food area is also quite cozy. Good for a breather or to work for a bit. The WiFi is fast and included in your stay. You can also use the laundry machines and detergent free of charge. All in all the facilities and services were also extraordinary. The hosts all spoke english very well and were extremely helpful with recommendations on restaurants, places and how to best use the limited time I had in Kyoto. I'd stay there again on a future visit to Kyoto in a heartbeat.

Let me just say, as someone who was a bit skeptical of the high reviews, it is all well deserved! This hostel goes above and beyond in quality, even moreso than some hotels I have stayed in. The Dorms are incredible. which each bed being very spacious, with private floor space for storage and a desk and chair, all covered by privacy curtains. It feels more like a tiny room than the regular bunk bed you find in most hostels. 3 outlets plus a USB plug was very useful as well. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets for those who need. Shower and bathroom facilities are clean, modern and fantastic. There is a laundry room with several washers/dryers, all free! The lounge area is extremely chic, with nice couches, tables, a small kitchen with a faux countryside house in the background to make it feel more at home. In the evenings there is a bar, though I haven't been around for it. The breakfast in the mornings is fantastic, with a large number of good options, at a very cheap price. According to the accolades they have printed in the lobby, they were voted best hostel in 2019, and I can see why. For $26 a night, I have had more comfort and style than in some $100 hotels. The only downside is I don't know how I'll stay in traditional bare bones hostels again after experiencing this luxury!

-ที่พักมี slipper ให้ ไม่ต้องเอารองเท้าแตะมาก็ได้ (อยู่ใต้ตู้ที่เก็บหมอน) -มีหมอนให้ยืมเพิ่มด้วย ชอบมากกก -อาหารเช้า 500yen คุ้มมาก อิ่มอร่อย แนะนำให้ทำขนมปังอบชีส ดูน่ากินมาก เสียดายที่ตอนทำมองไม่เห็นชีส อดเลย -มีเครื่องซักผ้า และอบผ้าให้ใช้ฟรี มีผงซักฟอกให้ด้วย ปกติไม่ค่อยเจอที่พักแบบโฮสเทลให้ซักผ้าฟรี อันนี้ประทับใจมาก -มีจักรยานให้เช่าฟรี (ค่ามัดจำ 1,000yen) ขี่ไปปราสาทนิโจได้ ที่จอดจักรยานอยู่ฝั่งซ้ายมือของทางเข้าปราสาท (ค่าจอด 200yen) -ที่พักไม่ได้ใกล้สถานีรถไฟใต้ดินมาก แต่ก็เดินทางสะดวกค่ะ รายชื่อสถานีที่อยู่ใกล้ที่พัก โดยป้ายรถเมล์จะอยู่ใกล้สุด Bus Stop : Kawaramachi Marutamachi Keihan Line : Jingu-Marutamachi Tozai Line : Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae -ถ้าเดินออกจากสถานี Jingu-Marutamachi ไปที่พัก ข้ามสะพานมาแล้วจะต้องผ่าน Fresco เป็น supermarket อยู่ด้านซ้ายมือ ที่นี่ของเยอะมาก ของกินเพียบ แวะตุนของกินก่อนเข้าที่พักได้

車站距離： 從京都站觀察MORRIS我們都是乘坐的烏丸線。 我們兩個女性以不算慢的速度拉着箱子去程和回程都是走了15分鐘（在安靜的街道拉着箱子走在街上走有一種製造噪音人罪惡感）。所以從烏丸線走過去的話，其實不算太近（烏丸線從丸太町站5號出口有電梯）。神宮丸太町站要比烏丸線的丸太站近將近一半吧。 位置： 以位置來說如果偏好離車站近，坐車方便的話MORRIS的位置應該說一般；如果是暴走或者對騎自行車遊京都有興趣的話，MORRIS非常棒~ 我們第一天到達后。步行去了高台寺，走了大概35分鐘。（回程穿了八坂神社，發現是條近路呢！） 之後我們經常從四條河源町走回MORRIS（吐槽自己走2次就省出一次早飯錢哈哈） 關於房間 MORRIS是地上3層，地下2層。只有一樓有一間18人間，二樓和三樓都是不帶洗手間的單間。每層都有公共的衛生間，洗手池。不提供一次性洗漱產品，如果沒有帶前台有出售。 每層都有櫃頭櫃有不同的枕頭，提供給不同偏好的人（房間里也是有枕頭的哈）柜子下面是公共拖鞋，有需要自行取用。 入住時會提供一條浴巾一條毛巾。房間和毛巾都是4天一換。如果需要額外清理房間或更換毛巾需要付費。 單獨房間我們住的是大床房，房間很MINI但是床很大，是2張單人床架拼好鋪上雙人床墊。除了床外一棧落地檯燈，一個小桌一把椅子就沒有其他東西了。床尾到小桌的距離可以打開個24的箱子（椅子不能拉開了）除非一天都窩在房間里會覺得空間狹小，像我們除了睡覺一般都在地下2層的公共客廳休息，覺得MORRIS真的是非常棒。 隔音很好。我們住的房間正對3層的衛生間。但是4晚我們沒有聽到過任見聲音 本次入住唯一覺得不足的就是房間內插座位置比較少。小桌處有2個插孔，床頭板上一個插孔和一個USB孔，側面有一個接落地燈的插孔。然而除了小桌處兩個床頭板處電源接口都很不巧的不好用。第一晚WIFI沒有衝上電導致我們出門比計劃晚了。而之後用小桌上僅有的兩插孔 對於我們充電的需費求有點緊張（我們的房間是304）如果考慮住這裏請多帶上一個接線板以防萬一。 公共區域 地下一層是浴室和洗衣房。 女浴室這邊有8位浴室單間，吹風機有6台（2台戴森，1參台露米，3台松下。體驗了下貴貴的戴森確實風力強勁！吹乾速度杠杠的）。男性方面不清楚哈。有一個殘障設施浴室兼帶浴缸，行動不便或者想泡澡的人可以用這間。洗衣房的洗衣機烘乾機熨衣板都很齊全，而且都是免費使用的。 地下二層是公共客廳及廚房，餐廳。廚房設施很完全，使用后的東西請自覺收拾好。使用冰箱要在自己的東西上寫上名字和房間號。 有免費的咖啡和茶包。 早餐也是在這層吃。非常便宜合算~隨便便利店買2個飯糰一盒牛奶也要將近1000日元了。而在MORRIS一個人只要500日元~ 非常經濟實惠！雖然種類說不上特別多但是絕對完勝便利店。（有兒童餐具哦~~） 另我們在MORRIS看到了使用輪椅的遊客，也看到了2家帶小朋友的家庭（孩子大概5－6歲左右） MORRIS的設施真的很棒！對了到店支付可以刷銀聯~ 關於自行車： MORRIS的自行車是免費使用的，有大小兩種車型都是變速車。大一點的是7檔變速，小一點的3檔變速。每輛車只要壓1000日元就好。我們是退房以後把行李留在酒店后才租的車~簡直不能更後悔之前幾天為什麼沒有騎車！ 四條河源町一帶的小路對於自行車有全天禁止和分時段禁行的區別。不能騎的地帶推着走就好（我們在路上看到幾個日本大叔完全不理會標誌從我們身邊騎過去……不過還是建議做為遊客遵守標示）我們這次行程主要是東山區。基本都有自行車免費存放點，但是高台寺金戒光明寺清水寺（清水寺沒有免費存車點）這些都是超級大上坡請善待自己推上去就好……

Cette auberge de jeunesse a tout d'une grande. Personnel ultra agréable et serviable. Espace communs ultra propres et bien équipés. Les chambres doubles sont simples mais confortables. Mention également pour le très bon petit déjeuner à 500 yen. En clair c'est la meilleure auberge dans laquelle j'ai pu loger. Rapport qualité prix imbattable!
