Aegean View Aqua Resort

I came 30th sep- 14th oct Staff were lovely especially the reception lady she helped with everything we needed. There’s a free bus to and from Kos town centre 5 pools, -Quiet pool for elderly and people who’d like a more quiet swim -main pool next to pool bar. Really deep -another pool it’s quiet but also get busy at times -big pool with bar and 3 water slides 1 of them for toddlers -shallow pool with volley ball net There is sandwiches and hot dogs on as snacks and self serve ice scream all day. Free gyros aswell as slices of cake Fresh towels and bed made everyday Food I had no complaints there was a good variety, not good if you’re a picky eater tho. Every meal time I always had a full plate so nothing to complain about. They have a restaurant upstairs that has themed nights that you put your name down for. Overall I enjoyed this hotel and I would recommend to anyone aswell as I’d definitely come back here if I come back to Kos. Only a few small complaints - Our toilet seat didn’t fit on the toilet bowel properly -Entertainment could of been better we weren’t bothered about it -Good Wifi however you’d disconnect every now and again. The place was filthy, dead rat at pool, food just reheats and the alcohol watered down. This place is a disgrace, the bed sheets manky, bathroom full o f mould and dirt, place never cleaned, staff not in uniform and place just a mess. They only accept cash at the shop and have no cash machine or contactless, disgusting resort, and the woman in charge not interested

Nice hotel out of the way of everything. Food is a little bit hit and miss but lovely pool area and the rooms are clean with really comfy beds. The bus down to the town is great but could do with more times or a much bigger bus as the ques were pretty long.

Lorenc and Katerina are very good bar tenders, made mine and my friends evening very very enjoyable and brought us our drinks over, the food was delicious and is such a lovely resort with lots of pools to chose from! There also is a couple slides which are Great fun!

We returned from this dreadful place at the end of August. We travelled through Jet2holidays and I am still battling a complaint! Where do I start! I was contacted before the holiday to say the inflatables had been removed from the pool so as you can imagine, very disappointed children before we even set off. I was aso told the third restaurant was no longer available but Greek and Italian still on but on different nights. This was not the case at all. We stayed at the Aegean View Aqua Resort that was advertised by you as a 3 plus star Hotel and scores 4 out of 5 on TripAdvisor. When we arrived at the hotel my parents were given a room that had no hot water and the air-conditioning unit was dripping water and spitting out dust and black dirt. The terrace looked out at a wall with an air-conditioning unit blowing out hot air onto their balcony. (See pictures) The shower also fell off the wall when my Dad tried to use it. They were moved the next day by the help of a Tui rep as no Jet2 rep present. Did not see one all holiday! The Tui rep was actually there giving out complimentary bottles of wine and gifts to guests who were complaining and advising them about compensation on their return to the UK to apologise for the hotel! I honestly don't know where to start. The hotel is badly run and in need of some major repairs. Our rooms constantly had power cuts, lasting anything from 2 minutes to over an hour. Not helpful as no air-conditioning for that time and unable to use anything. The pools were disgusting (see pictures) Algae around all pools, dirt along the bottom and it felt slimy on your feet. Broken grills, rotting wood around them and in the waterpark pool there were even pipes sticking out the bottom which my father cut his foot on. The walk way to the slides had stagnant water puddles and was absolutely filthy! (See pictures) I never once saw any of these areas cleaned and it was clear that returning day after day that no cleaning had taken place. Serious health hazard and probably part of the reason my children were so sick whilst there. The main buffet restaurant food was terrible and the same every single day. We had to clear our own table, wipe it with our own wipes and set it ourselves at most sittings. No cleaning equipment anywhere! The Desserts were all from frozen and not properly defrosted with water in them. Fizzy drinks, if you left them for more than 5 minutes it would seperate leaving syrup sugar at the bottom and clear at the top. The restaurant was swarming with begging cats that tried to jump on your table as you were eating (see pictures). There was a cable that ran from one side of the outside restaurant to the other that was a permanent fixture and a total trip hazard. My 75 year old Mother tripped over this and hurt her back which she already suffers with (see pictures) The only other option for dining was the Greek restaurant which we were led to believe was a la carte but was actually just another buffet with the sa

Not usually one to write reviews but I feel like I have to this time. This is not at all directed at the staff they were all super friendly and pleasant… especially young receptionist and the staff in the dining area. However I have to draw attention to the fact this is a 4 star resort. I’m not sure how. The food was genuinely horrific and I feel guilty for saying so but if you’re like me and my partner we went all inclusive with the idea that we’d be saving money at least on breakfast and maybe lunch most days. The Greek yoghurt was like milk jelly, not thick and creamy… I could go on about the food. Additionally our shower leaked so much when turned on that we have to put towels down to stop it flowing into the bedroom. When I went to report it there were two other people already complaining about different things in their rooms so I thought I’d save the receptionist the trouble as we we only there for a week. Another mild concern was our sliding French doors even when locked could be opened to about 2cm which was odd. Truly could not compliment the staff enough they were amazing, and I don’t want this review to be reasons not to stay there but just to be aware that you might end up eating out everyday and the actual resort doesn’t feel like 4 stars

Absolutely disgusting. Worse hotel I have ever visited! Food was discusting and cold, we ate first 2 days then gave up and spent all our holiday money on eating out! Luckily the kids pulled the chicken open before they ate it as it was bloody and pink! We had a mouse living in our room under the bath, our floors and suitcases were full of mouse poo! Entertainment was awful. Kids Disco was the same songs and dances every night and evening entertainment was non existent we ended up in bed at 9pm! Pools weren't looked after and green slimy water! Alcohol was non existent and was just water with a bit of flavor... Will never return and good luck to anyone who has already booked I hope you can move your booking elsewhere..

We were unsure about this hotel after reading other reviews, but I'm glad we kept an open mind as there was plenty to enjoy about this hotel and location. We went at the end of September 23, for a week, with Jet2 on a good all inclusive deal. Overall we think it was good value for money. I really wanted a quiet location and quiet, peaceful and restful holiday, hence selecting a resort out of the town centre and outside of UK school holidays. The only real negative, for me personally at this time, was the noise. Part due to other holiday makers and part due to the constant 'entertainment' which was on from 10am every day except Thursdays and each night the music got louder as the guests had more to drink and also got louder. The entertainment was outside by the main pool, and our room was close by, but there seemed nowhere to go to escape it. It didn't get quiet until around midnight/1am and I needed more sleep than that. It's a personal view only as many people did sound like they were enjoying it! During the day we took the shuttle bus into town a couple of times to escape the noise but at night it was too dark to walk anywhere outside the resort, we could have got a taxi into town but I didn't want to do that, I just wanted to relax and read my book quietly. We could have possibly asked to be moved to a quieter room further away from the main pool, but then we might have lost the great view. There were lots of positives; the location was great in terms of being higher than the town with a great view over the sea towards Turkey. The room was great, great location in this large resort in being close to the bars, pool, reception and restaurants. We had room 268. It was a large room with separate seating area and good balcony. It was clean on arrival. Our cleaner was not the best, she was younger than the other cleaners who did seem more committed to their job, but it was ok, we don't clean our house every day at home! The choice of pools was great, they were everywhere and they all looked great and clean, lots of choice and lots of good quality sunbeds at each one. None of them were too busy and some were quieter if you didn't mind walking a little further up into the resort. The restaurant was good. The food was excellent and a great deal of choice at each meal time. The staff in there were friendly, worked their socks off and did their best to help everyone and accommodate the busy sittings. The only thing we did notice was that the food labelling was sp**** and my wife has a shellfish allergy so we had to be careful when making our daily selection. The main restaurant problem, in my view, was more around some of the clientele, not the staff or food. They were mostly English, who were nothing but greedy and piled their plates high and left lots of food untouched. The amount of food waste due to this made me angry and was embarrassing. Most definitely not a 4* hotel as sold by TUI, on our stay there were no TUI Reps and the internet and phone lines did not work. The hotel was dirty, it took til day 5 til we had clean linen and towels ( cleanliness was questionable), unfriendly staff and bland repetitive food, watered down drinks. Cats wandering in and around the restaurant. Pools had green scum around edges. Once home we went to travel agents, politely complained, showed photos of our complaints, travel agent seemed unconcerned were advised to complain online which we did. Online sent a message telling us to complain to shop where holiday was purchased. Would certainly not book with this firm again and this hotel has not gone down hill this season it's been like this for a long time. Needs a lot of work to bring it up to 4*
