The room was spacious but a bit dusty, as if the cleaning wasn’t very thorough. Still, overall cleanliness was acceptable. The atmosphere was lovely with a beautiful view. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and always willing to help. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious—don’t miss the breakfast! However, the location is quite difficult to reach as the resort is on a hill. The road is dark at night, and there’s nothing much around the hotel

My wife and I chanced upon Silavadee while looking for a short Koh Samui getaway to celebrate our anniversary - and so glad we found Silavadee. The Google reviews did not disappoint, as it’s possibly one of the best resorts we’ve stay in yet! We travel to a couple of resorts around the SEA during our weekend getaways but this past weekend topped the charts for us. From our arrival all the way to our departure, Silavadee’s team members never failed to display the widest smiles everyday; even if sometimes they did not understand much English - we appreciated their big wide smiles! Special mention to the Duty Manager, TICK as well as front office staff ICE and KORN, who both made sure we were extremely were taken care of throughout our stay and whenever we had any queries. We had a small hiccup with the housekeeping team during our stay, but TICK managed it extremely well and also so kindly got us a late check out as our flight is only departing at 19:25hrs today, back to Singapore. Your private beach team member, JB is also worth a special mention - his command of English is commendable, and we enjoyed our time interacting with him during our stay. A very positive guy whom we noticed was also picking up trash on his own initiative to ensure our private beach was as immaculate as it could be! All in all an amazing stay over the past 4 days at Silavadee! Please pass our kind thanks to the team at Silavadee and we’ll definitely be back soon! Room 209

Exceptional hospitality throughout—every staff member, from the front desk and buggy drivers to the restaurant team and the GM, was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The resort’s peaceful, secluded location away from the busy areas offers a true sense of serenity.

Since it is a five-star resort, my expectations were high. But Silavadee exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment of arrival, when our bags were swiftly grabbed up by porters, and the receptionist welcomed us with cool scented face towels and cups of delicious lemonade, every experience was a luxury. We had an ocean view pool villa, which was wonderfully peaceful and private. But we did still check out the private beach, main pool areas, and all three open restaurants (a fourth restaurant was closed for remodeling since we were there during an off-peak season), and all of the facilities have beautiful ocean views and are staffed by extraordinarily friendly employees. Employees always stopped to give us a lift in their golf carts if they saw us walking, and we even noticed them calling ahead via radio to send a cart for us if they saw that we were getting ready to leave the beach, etc. Despite the jungle setting (we loved all the birds and nature, but I suppose it's worth mentioning that some people might not love nature as much, since there was bird poop on the deck each morning - promptly cleaned by housekeeping), I didn't see a single mosquito during our 4-night stay. The resort did issue mosquito repellant to all guests, though, so they are presumably a nuisance at least during some times of the year. The resort is also a very short drive away from Lamai Beach (free shuttles from the resort are provided a few times per day, but it's also easy to catch a taxi/Grab if your schedule doesn't align with the shuttle schedule), which is wonderful for swimming and people watching. But we were happy to be away from the crowds for the most part. It's worth noting that the area isn't great for swimming, since it is very rocky (really, far too rocky to swim at all during low tide), but Lamai Beach has some of the most beautiful sandy swimming beaches around, so that's an option if you want to spend more time in the ocean. With our own pool villa, we mostly stayed on property and just enjoyed dipping in the pool and enjoying the views from the privacy of our own deck.

disappoint stay ,no existing beach, no existing gym ,service terrible, middle of nowhere location

We booked this five-star hotel as a special because my wife was celebrating her birthday during the stay. Unfortunately, we can't give Silavadee a five-star review. On the positive side, the staff were all fantastic. Always smiling and friendly and happy to help. Also, the breakfast was excellent. From 4.3 0pm to 5.30pm, the hotel offers a small selection of free drinks. This may sound good, but we were only in the hotel at that time twice during our stay. Now for the negatives. Upon arrival we were told one of the two restaurants was being rebuilt so there was only one available restaurant. And the swimming pool next to the construction site wasn't staffed and was too noisy to use. There was a second swimming pool. For this inconvenience we were given a credit of 500 baht per day which had to be used in the hotel on food and drink, etc., and 20% off menu items. This wasn't a good start. We booked an ocean view room and so we expected an ocean view. While technically we did have an ocean view, the majority of our view was trees and rooftops. And when sitting on the bed, there was no ocean view, just a view of trees - see photos. This is not acceptable for a room advertised as having an ocean view. If you book an ocean view, make sure you do not get room 210. The resort was built 17 years ago and needs some maintenance. For example, in our room the floor was badly scratched in places and the caulking in the bathroom was discoloured at best and filthy at worst - see photos. Also, when the ceiling was painted, the painter couldn't be bothered to cut in around the smoke detector but just rollered straight lines around it - see photo. While this isn't a major issue, I would expect a five-star hotel to show better attention to detail. The restaurant food was fine, but here were no daily specials offered, (something that many restaurants offer) which made the menu boring and predictable after a few days. But I think the menu prices were too high. The drinks prices were also very high. Maybe management think that people who can afford a five-star hotel can also afford to pay more than a reasonable price for food and drinks. Every time I used the swimming pool, there were leaves and debris from trees floating on the surface. I expect better at a five-star hotel. Doesn't management employ someone to clean the surface? Do not ask reception to order a taxi for you. Contact a company direct if you can. For a taxi to or from the airport the hotel charges 750 baht. If you order it yourself it's more like 500 baht - 33% less. I think this is an unacceptable price increase for making a ohone call - a call that should be free as part of the service. If hotel management have any self respect and care about their customers, I expect them to offer me a partial refund to compensate for the partial sea view and flawed room.

Love this place! Service is top notch. Location is amazing. Amenities- anything you want there is free from the fruit to the orange juice sparkling wine treats every afternoon. They can book a tour for you to the marine park. They can book your motorbike or your shuttle. The restaurant was fantastic and we really liked Seakim and Ann - outstanding people

We stayed in a pool villa which was absolutely fabulous. The whole set up is top class from the fabulous staff to the lovely food. Plenty to do in the area too. Overall a fabulous place.
