Balos Beach

Unbelievable beach and experience. My advice would be not to drive as its horrific, the roads are bumpy...go by boat which is a better experience Get there early so you can get a sunbed which is 5 euros each which is great. There is also plenty of facilities at the ⛱ toilets, food etc Please make sure this is on your list when you go to Creťe

Every aspect of this hotel leaves nothing to comment about except outstanding …. From staff to facilities to amenities

This can be a 5 star hotel but chooses to stay on low level. If you are looking for comfortable and luxurious, go somewhere else. They have a nice pool area and beautiful views but so many things are not thought through to make it a good hotel. We took the executive sweet with private pool in the new building but here's the catch: The beds are not really comfortable ( don't get me started on the pillows) - if they can provide comfortable pillows and a better, bigger bad, that would elevate the sleeping experience. The AC is very loud and close to your face so, you can imagine. The private pool is kind of not working because there is a protective layer around it which really hurts the buzz and beauty of it all. The outside area has no fan or air flow, the entire thing is not designed at a smart level which will allow it to be a 5 star experience. The food is just nothing special or tasty and when you get breakfast and dinner, you have to pay for water at dinner. There is no AC in the food area or the hotel in general and the showers for guests who are leaving is in very poor conditions. The outside pool area needs a lot of fixes and much better shade. This hotel has all the elements of becoming a 5 star hotel or at least 4 but they lack the experience and knowledge to do so. If you go there, keep your expectations low. The service by the way - is actually pretty great!!! To summarize- if you come to this hotel keep in mind it's a 3 star hotel - for a 3 star hotel it's really nice but remember- 3 stars and not one more.

A bit tired but all in all a great stay. Close to the treacherous track that leads to Balos Beach if you fancy an explore. Room/bathroom was very spacious and the views over the sea were spectacular. Breakfast was mediocre…not high quality but good variety. Restaurants nearby like Gramvousa and Motakis a must.

We stayed 1 week in a nice appar**ent. A nice hotel 1 hour from Chania airport. Rental car is a good idea. Nice area with good snorkling by the stone beach. There are no umbrellas nor sunbeds at the beds (as seen in the hotels's pictures). Pool was great too and we had no problems finding a good spot. The very small kitchen was very limited the very only plates etc for 4 people (enough) and ONLY 2 small pots. No frying pan, chopping board, bowls or similar. So don't plan to cook to many dinners yourself. There are great restaurants in Kissamos and one 1 km away. The hotel offers only buffet in the evening.

Absolutely amazing hotel with very beautiful view and extremely delicious food. The hotel is located on a hill, so you can enjoy beautiful view during breakfast and dinner, from your room and swimming pool. The food is very tasty great variety of choices including sea food, various fruits and additional things (e.g. 5 home made jams, tachini, nutella for breakfast). Every day you will get absolutely amazing dinner with tasty main courses and great choices for meat lovers, sea food lovers vegetarians and vegans. Everything is very delicious and fresh. Staff at the restaurant is really nice and friendly. Room are really spacious and have a lot of storage space/desk/shelves etc. In the bathroom there are 2 sinks, which is great when there are 2 of you. It is very clean and nice here. There are sunbeds and umbrellas, generally enough for everyone. The hotel is not crowded and you get a lot of space. Everything in the room works perfectly including AC. Our sea view room had also swimming pool view, which wasn't an issue but we expected to have only sea view. Absolutely great place to stay, very close to Falasarna and Balos Beach

The hotel is in a quiet location just outside of Kissamos and a short drive to Balos Lagoon (about 30 minutes). The facilities are nice and we enjoyed the pool. We had an apar**ent room which was comfortable but could use with some updating (new pillows, one AC unit made a loud whistle noise). I'm a light sleeper but I slept very well. The breakfast was good but a bit over-priced. The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. We appreciated the lovely welcome gift.

I have been travel many hotels and meet different desk reception. Balos beach is best of all ( Liliana. Fotini. Janis. Joy) those people provide best experience when you tourist island also guid you where to start highly recommend if you are first time in the Crete. Again thanks for all team of balos beach hotel staff.

Wow! What a beautiful place with large comfortable rooms and amazing dinner and breakfast buffet. The ocean was wild and scenic. Also really enjoyed the steam room (additional charge but well worth it!). Everyone we met was so kind and helped us feel relaxed and at home. The perfect retreat and vacation! Thank you to everyone who made our trip so special!!
