We arrived to an office. We were then taken to another building about 10 mins walk with our luggage through busy traffic. We were not provided with the room we booked which was a queen room with sea views. There was a damp smell in the rooms like the air conditioned filters had not been changed. there was mould in the shower room. we told the person that these were not the rooms we had booked. But the reply was these are the only rooms available. the three rooms we booked were on three floors connected by a steep staircase. The rooms were not clean and the curtains did not operate properly. We requested a refund but they refused but we still decided to move out and find another better hotel.

The address takes you to the office and not the accommodation you think you are getting or that you booked. The owner manages several apar**ents and it is bit of Russian roulette of what is available when you arrive there. The owner is not tourist friendly and seem more set on maximising his profits. You will pay extra than the advertised price if you pay by credit card. Employees were apologetic, saying that they merely worked there. Fortunately there are many other accommodation options in the vicinity at a cheaper rate. There is a posted info on the website about free transfer from the airport if you stay more than 3 days but this was also disputed by the owner - he indicated it was not his website! Too many negatives to give you peace of mind!

Decent location. Room smelled like mold. Staff was friendly but kept telling us places were closed and tried to encourage us to go elsewhere, only to find that was not true.

Pros:
1. The general manager was very welcoming and offered many great ideas for our 1 week stay in Istanbul.
2. We were able to book our Covid-19 PCR right away for our return flight to Canada. The nurse came to the location and we got print outs of our results by the end of the day.
3. The location is great - grand bazaar, Sultanahmet square, and the tram are all within walking distance.
4. We were able to book a return cab service from the location to the airport for about 400 Lira’s which is a bit expensive but only definite choice we had.
Cons:
1. On the first night we arrived, the room we had originally booked was unavailable. So we stayed in a different room that night and then switched over the next morning. We were okay with this but it was a minor inconvenience as we had to return to the room I n the middle of our day.
2. We had issues with not having hot water for 3-4 days. The management tried to rectify this issue to the best of their ability but it not great being in 4-5 degrees Celsius weather without having a warm/hot shower, especially after being outdoors for most of the day.
3. On the last day of our trip, there was no wifi connection all day. We needed to check in our our flight and were unable to complete our check in due to lack of internet access.
4. The night time Bosphorus cruise was recommended to us as a 5 star experience, after paying 80 euros for both of us, it turned out to be a 0 star experience. Don’t do it!

The location is their "main office". They actually take you to another motel around.
There was no reception aside from checking in. There was no one to check out. Cleanliness was an issue.

Poor management. Missed room service a few times during our 1 week stay. Moved us by force from a room to another saying that the first room was reserved for someone else?!?! Will never go back to Sultanahmet Suites. There are better options in the same area.
