The Colonial Rooms are very nice and spacious. If you are planning a wedding at this resort we had found that the Colonial Rooms and the rooms adjacent with the private pools are a great location for the bridal party. Close to the location on the beach where the wedding and reception were located. The hotel was responsive to all of our requests as we had family all over the resort. Genesis who I first met at the Wood Fire Pizza restaurant had them hopped over to serve breakfast and she was always nice! Greeted us with big smile every time and said hello. The Gift Shop/Rental Shop for excursions had great staff and Will was eager to help and get us on our way. You can rent out golf cars to take to town and also book excursions right from the hotel.

The beach is INCREDIBLE. The room had everything we needed Nice kitchenette to prepare food so that we could save on eating out all the time since it's not a all inclusive. The Humming Bird room might be in the oldest building, but the view from the balcony made out for the old room.

Stayed at the Colonial. Was a huge villa with a beautiful view. Emery the security guard was so very helpful my first few nights. Captain Larry has all the answers and is very personable. You cannot miss him 😉. Gilberto is a kind spirit who is also very helpful. I am sure many are, just the few great staff I experienced. The water (at least in November) is not picturesque. But the sound of the sea is heavenly. The town is small and accessible. Mostly I loved the Maya Centre village close by and the burrito stand going into town. The grounds at Jaguar Reef are impeccable - everyone does a fine job at making sure it’s always beautiful.

Room was not updated. Location on the beach and by the pool was fantastic. Views terrific. Would be a terrific place to stay if room had been updated. But overall Jaguar Reef resort is terrific so stay there and request room in other part of the resort if you want an updated room.

First time in Hopkins and loved our stay! The beach is incredible! The dock bar is really great! Spacious rooms where you can hear the ocean! Amazing beach - make sure to get a coconut from the stand on the beach! Captain Larry will help you out!! Overall really great spot!

Beautiful resort and well run. Our room was very large with a queen and bunk beds. The room could use a few repairs-bathroom faucet handles fell off and the curtains were ripped and not really easy to use with individual ties and not room darkening. The safe never worked. The big dock bar was great! The boats were nice and we loved the Hobi. Captain Larry was very helpful with set up. The sail was ripped so a new one would be a good upgrade. Overall a great place to stay.

This was my 1st time to Hopkins, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay great location amazing food beautiful staff both inside and out and you never have to worry about figuring out what to do they have everything you need and can get you scheduled for any activities outside of the resort. I was there a week and Kiara, (front desk) Captain Larry, Natalie (housekeeping) Jewels, I had 2 really great bartenders, and I can't remember their names. I'm planning to return in March I was in Santa Maria Suite 2/4-2/10 beds were very comfy view was amazing housekeeping was greeaaatt and last but not least the food did not disappoint at all.
