Strathallan Bed and Breakfast

A wonderful lady owning a superb b&b. The rooms are amazing with a breathtaking bathroom, the breakfast fenomenal. 10/10 is the max I can give. Ayla , thé hostess reserves 15/10. Welcoming, friendly and help full. Thank you for making our stay perfect

We had a fantastic stay here. Our room, pheasant, was spacious with a comfy bed, and ensuite facilities. Breakfast is served in a lovely room and are the best breakfasts in Scotland. The menu varies each day, with a choice of fresh fruit, cereal, before a cooked meal, the blueberry pancakes are definitely a good choice. Isla is the ideal host, helpful and friendly but not intrusive. Grantown on Spey is a good location to explore the Highlands and we would highly recommend a stay here.

After being transferred here from the Firhall we were a little nervous but my goodness we didn’t need to be! From the second we arrived we were welcomed in like family. The room (Rowan) was flawless, clean, warm and inviting. Everything you could possibly ever need was provided down to bath slippers! Breakfast was delicious, easily the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for making us feel so at ease and welcomed

Lovely host. Beautifully restored Victorian House. Very comfortable and excellent breakfast too. Great attention to detail. Good location for A9 and Cairngorms/Speyside areas. Highly reccomended.

We stayed here for one night and thought the Strathallan was lovely. We had a friendly welcome, the house is lovingly decorated and our room was very comfortable. And the bed; rarely do I find a bed as comfortable as my own, but this one was (Rowen)! Sadly we had to leave before breakfast the next day but, thoughtfully, our host prepared a travel breakfast for us to eat in the car. We thought that was a nice touch.

Situated one road back from the High Street, a mere 2 minute walk, this place was lovely, far, far better than some of pricier places we stayed at, even those that charged twice as much! The rooms are huge, both us and our travelling partners had 4 poster beds with power points either side, we had a large bathroom with stunning modern vanity, bath and shower over the bath as is common in the UK (there’s a glass pane to prevent water splashing everywhere), nicely tiled and upmarket fittings. Our friends had a similar size room, but with a smaller bathroom and shower only, our room was called Rowan, one flight of stairs up. Decor throughout the house was attractive and impeccable. The host went out of her way to get and assemble a fan for me, there is no aircon in most places, only central heating, plenty of drawer space, two chairs and a table, TV, Nespresso machine and shortbread cookies. The host was very nice, had a great sense of humour and very entertaining, she made a very nice cooked breakfast too. There is also off-street parking. My only negatives are the shower had weak water pressure and Wi-Fi speed was slow but the latter seems to be a problem everywhere outside the main cities. I would rate it 9/10, you won’t be disappointed.
