H10 Playa Meloneras Palace

A wonderful 5 night stay here in March 2024. We were half board and that was great for us for a short stay. Hotel is really lovely in a great position next to the promenade. With being HB, we had lunch at the nearby restaurants only a few minutes walk away. Breakfast and evening meal at the hotel were good, plenty of choice. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and even a set of scales! Cleaning and presentation of the hotel was of a very high standard. All staff were helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again! Would highly recommend!

First time in Gran Canaria, and we stayed at this jewel of a hotel tho the west of Meloneras. Manicured gardens, magnificent hotel, wonderful staff and a great location 1.5 miles from the Maspalomas lighthouse and a number of shops and restaurants with Lad Dunas, just beyond. We went half board although there was an AI option. Bar prices were lower than the uk for those not on AI. A local commercial area (very quiet) below the hotel overlooking Playa de Meloneras, also had a number of good restaurants and a supermarket for other essentials. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very well kept. Its architecture and design is beautiful and tasteful, they kept buildings low and the hall is a masterpiece. You get stunning views everywhere, shelter from Northerly winds and the location is the last resort of the Meloneras stretch, so you only see ocean or golf club on the side. Quiet. They did a fine job with buffet and kids enter tainment. Nice soa. And if you are wondering whether the pools are heated, the answer is yes: 1 pool full heat, 1 even bigger one is half-heated, still enough. Hotel grounds are spotlessly clean, staff around consistently cleaning. Plenty of sunbeds around so no need to do the 8am towel drop! Pool areas very quiet & relaxing. Rooms are very good with fridge. Really big comfortable beds. No English tv channels apart from bbc news and sky news. You would have thought at least min bbc channels. We were half board but ate out in evening. Breakfast was OK, had everything you could ask for. Weather was fab. Location of the hotel is right at the other end of promenade, about a 25 min walk away from the main sands, although there is a small beach right by the hotel, we preferred the main one with bars/shops etc. We had a lovely day out on a catamaran, coach picked us up on time. Hotel seemed quiet even though we asked for a late check out they said no they are fully booked. But left luggage in reception and spent a couple of hours round the pool. Taxi to/from airport €50 each way if you don't fancy sitting on the transfer coach. Yumbo center in playa del ingles is a fun night out!! 3rd time to Gran Canaria, still love it.

This was our first visit to this the hotel and melenores as a destination itself. It certainly did not disappoint and we will be back in the future and have recommended the hotel to many others already. Everything about the hotel is well run, from the arrival process through to checking out and being provided a complimentary room for the afternoon once checked out due to a late flight. With a few exceptions the staff at this hotel are impeccable, they all genuinely seem happy and want to be there to help and make your visit what you would expect for a hotel of this standard. The main buffet restaurant is the best all inclusive food we have ever eaten at any hotel around the world and the al la carte restaurants are just as good, so if you have the opportunity to visit do so as the food and service is second to none. We love the no reservation of sun bed policy and the fact they implement it. So many people ignored it but soon found out the hotel really does mean no reserving. It makes for a far more relaxing holiday. We really did love this holiday and i cant recommend it enough. We look forward to visiting again soon.

My fourth visit. The staff could not be more helpful or friendly, the hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable and the selection of food is endless and delicious. My room was lovely, opening to the main pool area. A great place for singles, couples and families with young children. Teens may find the actual resort outside the hotel a little quiet for their tastes although the hotel does offer evening entertainment and there is some activity 10 minutes stroll away. For a relaxing holiday in the sun, H10 Meloneras Palace is my favourite hotel.

This really is a lovely hotel once you get to know your way around as we did find it a little confusing on our first day. We have stayed at many H10 hotels and always book the Privilege package which is expensive but absolutely suits us the best. When we stayed at another hotel once someone told us that this hotel was by far the best especially being 5* so we booked it to celebrate my wife's 60th. It is a fantastic hotel but not sure its much better than the other H10. Our room was great and the patio lead straight out onto the Privilege pool/sun deck plus 2 doors away from the Privilege lounge where we could get drinks with a great selection including beer on draught. It was very quiet here and plenty of spare beds ever day so had no worries about that. As everyone has said before the staff are brilliant here especially the young girl waitresses in the Privilege restaurant (only one open during our stay due to refurbishment) who where so happy and helpful, so congratulations to you all. This is not a criticism of the hotel but just something we noticed was an inconsistent service received in the Privilege restaurant both lunch and dinner. Some people where told about the daily specials and others were not , some Maitre d explained the menu and how you could alter your selection such as a different sources on your meat for example which was great but very inconsistent so maybe try to improve on this if possible. We did notice some guests not waiting to be seated and walking around the side to always get the table they wanted which we found frustrating . As someone said in a previous review nowhere is perfect and this really didn't spoil a fantastic holiday here and would we return definitely yes we would . Dinner and breakfast for Privilege guest has to be booked so we emailed the hotel prior to arrival and reserved a table for our first 2 nights but when we arrived at the restaurant they had no reservation for us on both nights but was not a problem and they soon sorted us our a table After that we booked via the App and it was fine. When we checked out there was a charge of 32€ for a bottle of wine that we never had as we were All Inclusive anyway and even though this was on our room number the signature did not match ours so we was not charged for it but someone may have got away with an expensive bottle of wine. We did notice sometimes that the name on the pre written receipt did not match with our room number but wasn't an issue until check out obviously. When we first entered our room we noticed straight away the patio door did not lock so we phoned reception and someone came out with in minutes and fixed it so congratulations on that. These are very minor issues we picked up on and that's being very fussy, so do book this hotel and enjoy it like we did. Thank you to all the staff

From the moment we arrived we experienced friendly attentive staff and high standard throughout the hotel Food was always varied and extremely well presented. We were half board but could swap dinner for lunch when we wished which was a big plus for us

At the end of a 9 night stay here, the hotel is good enough for a 4 star, but as a 5 it's quite a bit lacking. Room was dated, very, though clean, to be fair the whole hotel is pretty much spotless, the cleaning staff do a good job, shower was pitiful, would have been rubbish in a 3 star. For a supposed 5 star hotel the very least you expect is a decent walk in shower. Pool bar is understaffed. Pools have rubber liners obviously due to leaks. Plenty of sun loungers, Bali beds etc, but many tired. Staff generally very good. Dining is ok, definitely not a 5 star experience, but it suits me. Sadly twice after being given a table we went to get food and found it had been cleared, and the other occasion it was given to someone else. Not a great dining experience. Hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and they are well overdue. I can't say that the work was an issue, yes there is noise, but it's not a problem, the hotel is large enough to find a quiet place. Maybe paying extra for the "privilege" service is better, but I paid enough for a 5 star hotel and expected to get all the stars without paying extra. Last year we were here twice in Gran Canaria, we stayed in 4 star, the hotel's fine but there's nothing here to warrant an extra star.
