"This is supposedly the newest and best hotel in the country, but it's a complete mess. Located far from the city center on the highway, there aren't even any signs; even experienced local drivers got lost. The hotel is newly opened and already chaotic. I was the only guest, and it took me half an hour to check in, with numerous mistakes, resulting in me being charged twice. The food service is also completely inadequate, offering only two options. There's no proper chef; the steak was simply heated up and served with some stir-fried cabbage—it was awful, and it cost $90, more expensive than in New York! The room reeked, and the toilet was yellowed; it's truly an eyesore."

"Had a lovely stay at this hotel! Really cool nature-esque vibe despite being located in the city, which I found unique. The neighborhood is nice and peaceful. Can easily walk out to Sheriff Street. I had stayed in a Supreme Suite. Quite spacious and cozy, and had all the amenities I needed. The hotel staff were also friendly. Will definitely be revisiting."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which has a lovely boutique feel throughout. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, making the whole experience feel very personal. I was travelling with someone who has multiple allergies, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, which we really appreciated. The service felt genuinely attentive and thoughtful. The food was excellent, and the breakfast in particular was a highlight, with plenty of fresh fruit and a variety of hot options that changed daily. The lounge area was spacious and relaxing and perfect for unwinding. Our room was very clean, generously sized, and well-maintained, with bottled water provided every day. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The hotel is in a good location and we felt very safe throughout our stay. "Our group is a surgical team working for 1 week in Georgetown 4x/year. We chose Cara Lodge on the recommendation of the hospital’s Board Chair. Every aspect of our interaction w/all associated w/the Lodge has been outstanding. Reservations accommodated the team even with our changing room needs 3x! The food is delicious. All servers are pleasant and efficient! The rooms are just fine; clean, quiet, comfortable and a great shower! We are returning for our third visit in May and will do so for our Nov. mission. Other hotels were suggested as they are less expensive and closer to the hospital but all team members agreed that they feel safe and the staff is very responsive and accommodating and prefer to stay at Cara Lodge."

"A very satisfying accommodation experience in Guyana, faraway South America. Especially the service from Xiao Liang at the front desk was excellent! My husband and I were traveling independently in South America, and for the first twenty days, the hotels we stayed in had dimly lit rooms. This was the only hotel with brightly lit rooms! The room was fully equipped, and all the necessary toiletries were provided. The view from the window was beautiful and pleasant. The breakfast was very plentiful. The front desk provided service in both Chinese and English. It felt like a welcome change. The location is excellent, close to the Chinese Embassy. The only interesting thing that could be improved: the label for "aged vinegar" seemed incorrect! It was actually white vinegar, haha! See the picture. The breakfast restaurant tables were arranged like a large conference room. However, it's still a perfect 100% positive review! In short, highly recommended!"

"The hotel looks great. The lobby and bar area are well appointed. Went there with some friends for drinks and light fare. Some people arrived 20 minutes before and their order still had not come over. I ordered a G&T. It should not take 15 minutes to get a drink from the bar that is literally right across from our seats in the bar area. There was only one other group of 2 persons present, along with our group of nine. The salt fish cakes were bricks and had no taste. The chicken wings were tough and tasteless. I know that they have only been open for about 6 weeks , but they really have to up their game. The location is new and fresh in beige tones that are relaxing but I wouldn’t want to spend money there if the food and service does not improve. quickly."
