The hotel is a beautiful gem in the middle of the busy Dali ancient town, is very central and the space feels sleek and quiet. Food and staff attention here amazing! They were really kind and helped us above and beyond. I will 100% stay here again next time I visit Dali.

Location- excellent spot, at the bottom of the pedestrianised walk up the hill to the heart of Dali ancient town. Full of local speciality shops, restaurants and bars. On the westside of erhai lake with the cycle trail that passes through *4 try Hotel - Small boutique hotel, modernist /scandi style. Well thought out and designed layout. Room was well equipped and clean. Great coffee and good quality set daily breakfast. Staff - warm friendly service, always happy to help, but make bookings and advise on itinerary. A credit to the hotel. Negatives - Shower has wear and tear and could be redecorated. Showing signs of damp. Aircon on the duplex unit noisy and needs replacing. Also room really needs a small 2seater sofa to complete it. Great little hotel with amazing service!

I cannot recommend Sunyata Homestay in Dali enough! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay—it was an experience of genuine warmth and care. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a serene escape after long days of exploring. The afternoon tea and breakfast they served were nothing short of extraordinary. I’ve stayed in multiple 4-5 star hotels across China over the past month, but the gourmet food here easily surpassed them all. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared, leaving me in awe of the flavors and quality. The location of Sunyata Homestay is also perfect. It’s just far enough from the bustling crowds to remain peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Dali Ancient City that it’s only a few steps away from great eateries and the heart of the ancient town. The balance is ideal for anyone seeking convenience without sacrificing tranquility. A special shout-out to the young lady working in the coffee shop up front—her coffee is unparalleled! My husband, who is a daily coffee drinker and rarely impressed, couldn’t stop raving about her brews. It was, hands down, the best coffee we had during our travels. The staff here deserve every bit of praise. They were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. However, what truly sets Sunyata apart is the incredible owner. My father had a bad accident in Dali on a rainy day, and I can honestly say I don’t know what I would have done without his support. Despite my limited Mandarin, he spent an entire day accompanying me to the hospital, ensuring we were well cared for and understood. The next day, he went out of his way to pick up the CT scans for us. His kindness and compassion left me speechless. The owner’s dedication to his guests is reflected in his amazing team, all of whom go above and beyond. Without his help, I would have had to cut my trip to China short. Instead, he turned a difficult situation into one where we felt supported and cared for like family. Sunyata Homestay is truly one of a kind, and I will forever be grateful for their hospitality. This is not just a place to stay; it’s a haven of comfort, care, and culinary delights. Thank you, Sunyata, for everything!

Great location—tucked right in the heart of the bustling 古城, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful inside. Once again, excellent service from 即下山—consistent, warm, and reliable. You’ve definitely gained a new fan! That said, the 古城 property feels a bit like the forgotten child of the brand. The fixtures are showing their age and could really use a refresh to match the charm and quality of the experience elsewhere.

Lovely stylish modern hotel with very helpful staff in a good central location. Nice rooms around an attractive courtyard, and lovely communal areas for tea etc. we enjoyed our stay.

Because we arrived in the morning we were happy to go into our room and prepare the day trip. The afternoon tea with cake and also the breakfast were excellent. The room and the atmosphere are stylish and simple. It was a pleasure to stay at these boutique hotel.

Had a wonderful 3 nights here. The well-designed property offers a calm respite from the buzz of the streets outside. We had a room on the second level that let good sunlight in during the days, allowing us to sit by the huge window for tea. Though the toilet and shower was a little small, the stone bathtub was huge. Room was clean & had all basic amenities one would expect. We loved the Coco-mat pillows. The breakfast was a highlight every morning, offering varied & healthy options. Coffee was good too. They served complimentary night desserts/snacks. They didn’t have many staff but service was good and prompt, always ready to offer tips & advice whenever needed. This included texting them via WeChat anytime you needed something. When the caretaker lady found out that we were heading to the other JiXiaShan properties after Dali, she took the initiative to inform them about our pending arrival & asked that we be accorded good hospitality. She also helped to link up with the Dida driver when we needed to arrange the transport between cities. We didn’t miss Dali Ancient City that much, but we sure miss this wonderful property, and we won’t hesitate to stay here again if we were to pass by this way.

1 辦入住的地方，即前台，相當磕磣，電腦鍵盤基本包漿了；旁邊的沙發更不提了，看起來很不衞生 2 餐：吃早餐的地方有點侷促，就在街邊的四個小桌子，如果你們是超過2人的結伴得要分開入座，或許會沒位子要站着等， 不過咖啡不錯 早餐衹吃了一頓，是冰冷的藜麥沙拉，（見圖6）配的麪包是奶精味極重的類型；本有點期待第二天的米線，但是8:30才開餐實在是太晚了，餓的咕咕叫，早起的朋友+喜熱食的朋友請慎重選擇、另做打算 3 房間2樓-噪音問題：晚上別想睡着，晚上11:以後沿街還在鬧騰，還有收垃圾的環衞車哐當哐（此處囑咐大家千萬別傻了住古城）；第二天天沒亮下大雨，又是雨聲，也睡不着覺 4 房間-設施問題： 住的房間説是全酒店最安靜的一間，有一口大浴缸，還有一個馬桶和淋浴乾濕不分離的廁所。 接受不了乾濕不分離，準備在浴缸洗，發現問題1，玻璃全透明，沒簾子，沒磨砂玻璃，店員説是“設計” ；致命問題2，這個浴缸沒出水，哈哈😄 5 房間- 味道問題： 進來就是黴味，店員説，是因為“原木”，都8年了還有味啊。很逗 6 店員： 還沒入住就讓我從平台取消，私下付房費，給我優惠價，這個有文字為證，算是雷區了吧，這都敢提 7 店員： 人都不錯的，但是沒想到即下山的店員都是小年輕，沒有統一的工服，沒有領導，感覺很散漫隨意 8 保潔： 算是很滿意了，看到被子和浴巾還是很安心的，ps枕頭也是蠻友好的；酒店設施很舊了，這個浴室的瓷磚擦的再乾淨都顯得很落魄+昏暗的廁所燈光，所以覺得這家的保潔很不容易 9 建築結構： 早上暴雨2f開房門，門口基本是淹到鞋跟的水平了，沒有瀰漫到屋子裡也是很不容易； 晚上沒燈，在長廊上摸黑回房間，記不得方向的人蠻難（見圖1-2） 10 酒店設施：晚上睡覺聽到隔壁的住客回來，鑰匙打不開房門，讓店員來幫忙的，嘰裏咕嚕在門外溝通，最後告訴住客他有一個訣竅，“鑰匙要xxx，這個鎖xxx…”，這過得也太苦了，回房還要用技巧 11 軟細節： 鑰匙上掛了很大一個牛皮，一點都不為長途奔波行李沒空間的旅客考慮，誰帶這一大串出門啊 本來對既下山這個產品線蠻期待的，在香格里拉的時候聽説他們梅里店和kolon合作有活動，以為是挺有品味的，大理古城這家又是首店，結果是這種檔次，匹配到日均價格大概理解了。此店從即下山的小程序裏是搜不到的，被歸類到“ 望什麼川去了

環境：坐落在大理古城，鬧中取靜的位置，門口就是十字路口，車流人流都很大。 服務：非常滿意，管家 24h 在線，而且貼心提醒我第二天去火車站要提前預約，最近車難叫。第二天預約的司機爽約，親自去門口給我攔車。 設施：無功無過。 精美下午茶:下午茶的蛋糕布丁都是自己做的，不是半成品解凍。咖啡味的奶油蛋糕 hin 不錯。咖啡和茶暢飲，咖啡豆品質不錯，很濃郁。 第一次體驗既下山，暑假旺季，價錢不貴，值！會再來的

既下山品牌還是有相對的保障。首先位置很好很方便，就在古城，出則熱鬧，進則寧靜。 酒店應該有些年生了，但硬件保持得還算不錯。關鍵是軟件服務相當好。酒店的人員從態度，服務意識，網上線下的溝通都非常nice。 提一點小意見，咖啡可以考慮換換杯子，熱咖啡的話，拿着會比較燙手。

早餐不重樣。下午茶也不錯。衞生打掃得很乾凈。服務態度也很好。工作人員很有眼力。走的早上比較早。用不了早餐。工作人員還給打包了簡單的早餐。還送了一盒杯子當伴手禮。房間稍微有點兒小。但是很有特色。幾年前來住過安隅。感覺是一種類型的。
