Baymont by Wyndham Coalinga

Recently acquired by Wyndham, the sign still says Travel Lodge. I had one of the recently redecorated room and thought it was very nice. I especially appreciated the number of USB ports. Heater and television worked fine. Nice counter space in the toilet area. I arrived at 8pm and left at 9am the next morning so really did not get to see much of the outside.

Receptionist was sweet and efficient. The outside was very rundown and trashy but we had one of the renovated rooms and it was very clean and nice. Don't let the exterior deter you!

The message is blunt but true. This place should not be hosting people while they are remodeling. There's trash all around and the room stunk of urine. ****s and trash in the parking lot. Bugs, dead and alive, roamed all over the room. Felt more like a homeless shelter than a hotel. Breakfast is almost nonexistent: a few dirty apples, gas-station sort of muffins and couple of coffee jars. You could buy water at the "breakfast buffet" for a dollar. Do not be fooled by the pictures on the website.

Clean and safe to stay. We would like to stay again.

I'm on the road almost full time & have learned to always read reviews before even considering making plans for an overnight stay. It was the beginning of Labor Day weekend. EVERYTHING in the area was ridiculously overpriced & anything within reason was not just gross, but downright scary. So glad I asked to see a room before driving further because this property exceeded my expectations! Sweet Jeanette kindly offered to let me see two rooms: one freshly remodeled facing the interior of the property & the other situated facing the parking lot, enabling me to park right in front of my door, which I much prefer, but hadn't been remodeled yet & was sadly dated & not just worn but worn out. Talk about "before & after!" I happily paid for the updated & remodeled room which was spotlessly clean w/laminate flooring, huge tiled shower, fridge/micro, desk area, & free wifi w/ample signal to check weather & routing for the rest of my trip. The door needed to be repainted but otherwise the room was fine. The bed was super comfortable & the pillows so amazing that I tried to find out what kind they were so I could buy a couple! I'm so sorry I've misplaced the name of the gal @ ck out because she was just as friendly & helpful as Jeanette had been the night before. Continental was scant w/packaged items but for an outstanding breakfast/lunch/dinner I'd recommend Harris Ranch. Bear in mind the property is in a transitional phase & remodeling is in progress. Pool wasn't functional & it was your basic budget-type motel, lacking in upscale amenities. But if all you require is a clean place to shower & sleep without breaking the bank, do yourself a favor & check it out! I'm so glad I did!

Terrible, they did not have our room, or any record that we had a reservation! Had to over pay at a expensive hotel/resort!

Looked like it was closed when we drove up. The room smelled musty. It was clean. Reserved a king bed, they said they did not have kings on the ground floor. I would not recommend this place.

Husband and I pulled in here late one night just to get away from the traffic the lady at the front desk was very nice got us a room quickly just so we can get some sleep and get back on the road early in the morning I’m giving this place a five star because I realized after I got home that I left my Apple Watch in the bathroom there I called and to my surprise they actually had it and we’re quickly willing to assist me with getting it sent back to my house I cannot thank them enough for their honesty and willingness to get this sent back to me as quickly as possible thanks
