We are travelling through Gansu & Sichuan and I booked the Mercure as a couple of nights for my husbands birthday. The first room we got was OK, a little shabby and not the cleanest but a nice bed and sofa and the aircon seemed good. My husband took a shower for all of 30 seconds and the bathroom, corridor and toilet completely flooded. So we moved rooms. The next room didn't flood but the aircon was pretty feeble and the toilet cubicle smelled. We didn't complain, having already moved once. This room was an over all improvement. The breakfast was pretty miserable, no coffee and mostly Chinese dishes. I had expected more from a western brand but nevermind, we ordered coffee and food to the room. Plus points - The staff are very nice and friendly, they accommodated us on the new room and gave us some treats as an apology. The bus to Kumbum Monastery is directly across from the hotel and you can arrive there in 45 mins, public bus number 909, 4¥. Starts at 6:30am. The breakfast is OK. There is a free laundry room, we did lots of laundry and it dried over night. We stayed in a non smoking room and it really was non smoking which is rare for China. It smelt fresh and the bedding and towels did not smell of smoke. There were however people smoking everywhere else in the hotel which seems quite common expecially in this province. Overall, I would stay here again but I think the price is a little high for the offering in comparison to some Chinese brands in the city.

The hotel waiters are very professional. The hotel front desk upgrades the room for free. The hotel has a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. There are many delicious places near the hotel. The room facilities are complete, the service staff are enthusiastic and thoughtful, and the lady at the front desk is enthusiastic. The room is clean, tidy and hygienic. I will stay here again next time I have the opportunity.

The hotel is very big, like a park, with beautiful scenery. The floors are not high, and there are many buildings to stay in. I think the low floors are an advantage in this high-altitude city. Check-in and check-out are very fast. There is a dedicated person waiting in Building 1 to help with the luggage and send it to the room. It feels like home. The employees I met on the way also greeted me with a smile. The service is really good. The room is clean and hygienic, and the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. If you drive here by yourself, you can park downstairs and it is very close to the surrounding attractions. In short, I am very satisfied with this stay and will stay here again next time.

The first stop in Xining was the Muslim Building near the train station. Although the facilities are a bit old, the environment and hygiene are in place, the beds are very comfortable, the service is good, and a map of nearby food is provided, which is very convenient.

環境特別好，比較夢幻，孩子特別喜歡。早餐也非常豐富。提一下建議，在我們因孩子小傷口有些感染撥打總枱電話詢問是否有碘伏時，前台人員衹是告訴我們沒有，附近沒有葯店，衹有一個小診所還估計關門了。由於是晚上，酒店位置比較偏，外賣也送不了。其實挺無助的。雖然幫不上忙，但是顧客需要葯品，酒店客服是否能詢問一下發生了什麼事情，需不需要幫助，這應該是人性化服務的標準。這點體會不好，小小的遺憾。

I found that the Goluo Hotel was the best. This time, there was no smell in the sewer in the room, especially the bath water. It's big and very comfortable. The hotel also provides two complimentary breakfasts. The elevator must be swiped with the room card, which makes it feel safe.

Very large environment is very good. The scenery of the Lishui River is beautiful outside. There is air conditioning and heating at night. The facilities are complete for two nights and breakfast is included. Very comfortable to live. It is very convenient to take a taxi to the night market nearby.
