Ulasan Maison Doucet - Relais & Châteaux

We have enjoyed our stay here incl the dinner at the restaurant. The setting is very comfortable, the personnel extremely nice and the wine list overwhelming. Dinner was great although sometimes too classic for us; creamy dishes in huge portions make the calories flow in. Very happy to recommend though and looking forward to go back.

Very relaxing! The food was excellent and the staff competent!! The only negativ thing was the cafe.

Since many years we have a nice stop in the Burgundy region on the way to the South of France. Maison Doucet was new on our list. But what a great surprise. Located some 45 km from the Autoroute it was the scenic trip worth. Very nice hotel, fantastic, we assume newly revamped, room. Very kind reception, garage available, but above that a gastronomic experience that we definitely would rate Michelin ** instead of just one*. Delicious courses and amuses served, all beautifully presented, in between explanation of all the ingredients (especially herbes) used, alternated with surprise drinks based on herbes and fruits. And of course an impeccable and very kind service. So we will return to Maison Doucet. It is worth the trip through the Burgundy landscape.

We wished we could stay much longer. Every person we encountered-and there were many-was highly professional and made us feel welcome and wanted. The facilities were immaculate, and details were very specific and attended to. The restaurant was outstanding and even the breakfast was given attention beyond the usual. All fruits were of perfect ripeness, cheeses were artisanal, baked goods extraordinary. For some reason, our room and bath were enormous and fresh.

What a find this charming hotel was! We had a room overlooking the swimming pool across the road from the main hotel (the room was enormous with a lovely modern bathroom, and very convenient for the spa) . Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the dinner absolutely delicious. We had the tasting menu which was a delight from beginning to end. Our only worry is that the restaurant (which is fantastic) will get two michelin stars and we will never be able to afford to go again!

The small Hotel is located directly at a main-street and can be noisy at times if one likes to open the window. The building looks average but has a stylish inside, like our bathroom was big and very eclectic with its black marble. Room No. 3 The Michelin 1* Resturant was closed but across the street they have the " Le Bistro du Quai", what a great find ! We underestimated the portion, silly us it shows on the menu that it is a 400gr. Steak. So tender and tasty and if we would not had have a starter, we might have been able to finish the main dish. so sad, so don't order a starter if you take this menu. In general very enjoyable evening and night. We did not use the Spa which is in a different building.

Excellent place for this area. The menus are perfects. Northern pike and zander the fishes from the fresh water around were delicious. Sweet bread and of course the piece of Charolais one of the best meat in the world. Chassagne Montrachet and Pommard some of the best wines in Burgundy. Excellent.

We stayed for only one night and the restaurant was unfortunately closed that evening. But the Bistro was and dinner was superb! The town looked very romantic but we had no time to visit it. Service and room were both great!

An exceptional stay in a magnificent location. The service is top level with staff that cares for its guests Un séjour exceptionnel dans un cadre magnifique. Le service est d’une très grande qualité avec un personnel aux petits soins avec ses invités.

Excellent experience! Very original recipes with local products and surprising flavors. Friendly personnel who did their utmost to explain everything in English. I really loved my starter dish with courgette. Beautiful design on our plates and many many delightful ‘amuses’ before we even started. I can recommend the trout.

Excellent que ce soit l accueil, la chambre ,le restaurant, le personnel aucune fausse note . Le menu a été un pur délice du début jusqu'au dessert . Je recommande chaleureusement cette maison. Les travaux ont été fait avec beaucoup de goût. Le personnel très pro mais surtout très agréable à discuter. Mr doucet est très prévenant et très présent avec ses hôtes . Un petit plus .

La literie est impeccable, la décoration est soignée et moderne. Les espaces sont spacieux. Dans les standards Relais & Chateaux. Le petit déjeuner est savoureux avec de bons produits locaux. Le fait de devoir changer de bâtiment pour le petit déjeuner et le spa est à mon sens un plus, donnant du caractère au lieu.

L'accueil est parfait, l'hôtel au top et le restaurant formidable. Pour une première fois dans un hôtel de cette gamme mais aussi pour une première fois dans un restaurant étoilé, nous rentrons avec des étoiles plein les yeux. Le personnel est aux petits soins, énormément de petites attentions surprenantes pour des novices comme nous, mais tellement agréables. Le spa et les esthéticiennes sont supers aussi. La visite des cuisines et de l'histoire du chef est un vrai plus. Bref, je recommande et un grand merci à toutes vos équipes Chef Doucet.

Première expérience dans un relais châteaux et restaurant étoilé et bien c est formidable. Personnel super attentionné. Un chef en cuisine et un maître de cérémonie au service parfait. Rien à dire tout était bien, tout était bon. Une première expérience qui ne sera pas la dernière. MERCI
