Great hotel experience. Good breakfast.

We absolutely loved our stay at Malmo Historic. The rooms were beautifully decorated, the location was well situated, the breakfast was simple but delicious and the terrace was a perfect place to get a drink at the end of the night. We were sad to leave! Highly recommend

Malmo Historic Hotel is fantastic! Located in Chania's charming Old Town area, the venue is near the Venetian Port, the beach, and numerous shops and restaurants. The boutique hotel is beautiful, with a lot of character. We really liked the interior and arched details in our room, which is considered the bridge room because you could see that part of the hotel from outside by looking up. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel's breakfast was good. As an American, I personally enjoy the lighter and fresher breakfast options not only in Chania but the parts of Europe to which I have traveled. I would definitely book a room again at the Malmo.

I stayed at the Malmo hotel with my husband and adult daughter we were so impressed with Virginia and her incredible staff nothing was too much trouble and made our stay so enjoyable. The hotel is so unique and having breakfast on the terrace was a fantastic experience. We had 2 rooms our daughter stayed in Josephine and my husband and I in Porta Colombo which was absolutely stunning. We had only 3 nights which definitely wasn’t enough and we would love to come back one day 🙏

EXCELLENT HOTEL, BEST LOCATION RIGHT IN THE HEART OF CHANIA OLD TOWN, CLOSE TO RESTAURANTS, SHOPS & OLD PORT. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING LOOKING HOTEL DECOR WAS SO LOVELY. NICK & VIRGINIA WERE AMAZING HOSTS AND MADE OUR STAY SO COMFORTABLE & WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL IN GIVING US ADVICE ON THINGS TO DO & PLACES TO SEE IN CRETE. BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS. THE OUTDOOR TERRACE AREA WAS BEAUTIFUL. I CANT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL ENOUGH, IT IS TRULY PERFECTION. LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!

Excellent location. All the shops, bars , restaurants on the same street. The old port 5 mins away . Everything so close , even a hair salon & laundromat . Amazing breakfast & nice balcony to enjoy the sun & eat it . all the employees were Super Nice … specially Virginia that could speak Spanish , English & Greek… with always a welcoming smile . Comfy & Beautiful room. The building use to be a library. Will stay here again any day

We stayed in the kastello Room and everything was perfect! The room was beautifully decorated with a big bathroom! The breakfast was so delicious and the staff was lovely. Would recommend and stay here again when I visit Chania again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Malmo for 6 or seven nights. It is in the historic district and is a new, modern small hotel. Virginia was extremely helpful and the hotel itself was very responsive to inquiries before and during our stay helping us with airport transfers and restaurant suggestions. In season I highly recommend making restaurant reservations since Chania is a very busy town. If renting a car, make sure to arrange for a parking garage ahead of time since you cannot park in the historic district. The only comment I would make about the room (Madonna) we had while it was I think the largest it was directly below the breakfast area and wine bar and the chairs above us either woke us up or kept us awake while moving around above us. So perhaps consider a different room. Also, the pillows were the hardest I have slept on in a long time. Other than that the breakfast was wonderful and the staff very helpful!
