This is a Motel 6 and doesn’t have much to offer as far as amenities but a good place to spend a night to be in the heart of Downtown Carlsbad

Location was in walking distance of where we needed to be. Lots of good places to eat. Rooms were clean but only given one towel for two people? Staff was friendly.

It was a wonderful family vacation! Great beach, restaurants and shopping! The staff at the Carlsbad Inn! Was exceptional! Karen, Odalys and Natasha were so helpful and made our stay so wonderful!I would highly recommend this hotel Great for families with any age children!

Do not give this place your money ever! Just had my $1500 mobility scooter which helps me get around due to mobility issues stolen after several people have been casing the property to look to steal things. Homeless people and transients loiter the property management turns a blind eye and then cost customers like me much agony by having my mobility scooter stolen in the middle of the night. For the money they should at least have 24 hour security over here. There was a security car all of a sudden after this happened it looked like the person was sleeping inside the car. Smh! The management is awful has the least amount of customer service experience, and treats you like you are one of their employees... which isn't good! Too bad you can't give them a negative star because I would give many! They don't care about their guest here(especially the manager out of all people) they only care about themselves and it shows!

Do not stay here. It is a dirty, noisy, poorly maintained property. It does not supply shampoo, coffee, clean well-maintained rooms or a safe, quiet, clean environment. We woke to screaming. A drug deal went wrong in their parking lot. The dealer beat a man bloody in a parked car. Three police, paramedics and a firetruck showed up, arrested the dealer and took the damaged fellow away. The view out our dirty, unwashed window has been a dirty mattress on the ground, so we've kept our curtains closed. All night, footsteps stomped above us. The beds are ultra- unsupported and the fitted sheets are of a size larger than the supplied beds. The tub, once painted white, is mostly peeled away. The damaged bathroom door is held together with screws, it's metal frame rusted and unable to be shut because it is warped. The ceiling has 1960's popcorn treatment. We asked for a mid-week room cleaning/towel exchange - it never happened. These items are not supplied: shampoo, conditioner, coffee, iron, hairdryer, closet, laundry service, or a clean environment.

If I could do no *s, I would. DO NOT STAY HERE!! HEALTH HAZARD, PET HAZARD! My first room had wall to wall ROACHES! The second room-the only room that was wheelchair accessible- had mold you could smell when you walked in(I just didn't realize what the smell was right away.) The bathroom sink was coming out of the wall, you could see the mold on the outside of the tub, the fixtures, the bench. I am still trying to get my money back. The rooms are dark and dirty; the floors were cleaned by a blind person, the linen-just as dingy. DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES THEY SHOW YOU! THAT IS NOT AT ALL HOW THEY LOOK. YOU WOULD DO BETTER TO SLEEP IN YOUR CAR, ON THE GROUND, AT THE BUS STATION. ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!

BEWARE! BEWARE! Stayed at this location on 3/2/23-3/3/23 (Room 166) as I travel often for work I look for deals on hotel rooms and Hotwire.com connected me with this place for the night. I have stayed at other motel 6 and even stayed the night before at same location and all was well. NOT IN ROOM 166 THOUGH. ROOM 166 ONCE THE LIGHTS WENT OUT THE ANTS CAME MARCHING IN! I WOKE UP WITH ANTS COMING FROM 1 SIDE OF MY ROOM ALL ACROSS THE WALL AND OVER THE BED AND ON THE DRESSER AS WELL. SKIN STILL IS CRAWLING FROM THE SIGHT THAT I WOKE UP TO. WENT TO FRONT DESK SPOKE WITH SUSIE ABOUT ISSUE AND SHE WAS NO HELP WHATSOEVER! TOLD ME THAT ITS UP TO THE MANAGER TO GIVE ME A REFUND OR NOT AND SHE DIDNT KNOW WHEN THE MANAGER WOULD BE IN. VERY NONCHALANT ABOUT THE ENTIRE ORDEAL. I KNOW THEY SAY YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR BUT I DEFINITELY DID NOT PAY TO SLEEP WITH ANTS!! I STILL DID NOT RECIEVE A CALL FROM THE MANAGER SO CALLED NAME ALEXIS IN REGARDS TO THIS MATTER EITHER. THE HOTEL HAS DENIED MY REFUND THROUGH THE 3RD PARTY VENDOR HOTWIRE.COM. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF AND JUST NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR EVEN A 1 NIGHT QUICK STAY. WORST MOTEL 6 AND STAFF IVE EVER CAME ACROSS. ON TOP ALL OF THIS 166 IS A DISABILITY ROOM. NEVER AGAIN!!! CHECK OUT THE PICTURES AND VIDEOS I SHOWED TO FRONT DESK OF THE MARCHING ANTS, JUST TO BE TOLD, AM I CHECKING OUT THE ANT ROOM?? HELL YES I CHECKED OUT BEFORE ABLE TO EVEN GET MYSELF PROPERLY SITUATED FOR A LONGG DAY OF WORK THAT MORNING!!!!! STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!

Do not stay here!! it’s a bit and switch scheme where they give you low rates online but when you check in the rate so much higher. They do not send you an email confirmation for online booking so you are remain confused about what the actual rates are. The rooms are not very nice, beds give you a back ache and it’s very basic hotel. You can do much better in Carlsbad for the same price typically $150 per night on the weekends

This is an affordable gem close to the beach, not on the beach but an easy walk. The beach is not crowded and the are is very cool too! Room was basic but clean and functional, pool was nice and rarely busy. The gardens around this property were absolutely immaculate, Motel 6 was far above what I had expected.

Budget Motel, obviously run 'on a budget'. Our ground floor room (123) was clean and basic, no frills, just in need of some upgrading and a fridge/coffee maker, etc, etc. This however would then increase the daily rate for the room. We felt safe, the bed was fine, aircon wasn't noisy, shower worked and the towels were adequate. Sure we've stayed in better places, but this was a great price and where we wanted to be (walking distance of 'down town' Carlsbad). No bugs, no problems, front of house staff pleasant enough, decent care free stay of two nights.

This would be a great place to detox. And if you sell “other peoples services”, this could be your office. If you do anything else besides those two things, like sleep or have clean clothes, don’t come here.

Room was nice and clean . However, they took my deposit because " the towels looked dirty ". Well that's why your supposed to wash them. Literally all it was was a Towl I used myself to dry then left it on the floor. Place is a scam.

Dirty, moldy smell throughout, car alarm going off all night right by the door and couldn’t even call the front desk, there was no phone in the room. Most of staff doesn’t speak English and I don’t speak Spanish. Manager doesn’t wear name tag and will not tell you his name. Very suspicious activity going on in this place. Ruined my hard earned vacay! Never have experienced this horrible customer service in my life! Never will stay at any Quality Inns again!
