"We are towards the last day of our vacation we are burned out of going to the beach I called the Fairfield front desk and asked if it was possible to check in early and if we couldn’t we completely understand why it was 1 pm check in is at 3 pm the front desk hospitality young lady said that it wasn’t possible but I could check back in an hour I then asked her if we could just go to their pool until 3 pm and wait at the pool she said sure no problem. When we arrived at 1:30 pm I stopped at the desk and it was the same lady I spoke with she then told me I’ll just check you in we have a room available by an elevator which is what I requested when I booked the room. We were so excited that’s just going above and beyond! The pool area was clean plentiful towels for families the front lobby area is great for large families to watch tv and bring their dinner or like us ask for local restaurants who’d deliver food to us which is what we did we watched the soccer game and had a great time in the lobby area they provided water and tea for guests in the room they also provided bottled water for guests little things like this families will remember and appreciate! The breakfast was good they aren’t struggling to keep up with the over flow of guests coffee was plentiful more than 1 container was available I saw only 1 person refilling bowls and she wasn’t struggling unlike the hotel down the street such a big difference. Lots of towels for our grandchildren we really enjoyed our day even if it was for 1 night we loved it we will now become a Fairfield family! Also we used their laundry facilities which were clean and the front desk was happy to give us change we never had to leave once we arrived!"

"I would not stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the room itself was lacking. Outdated bathroom with a bathtub that had nothing to keep you from skipping to the bathroom tile that just as slippery even with the floor towel. The room was big and clean with a nice bed but the lugging was awful. There were 2 side tanks lamps, 1 floor lamp, and a desk lamp(didn't work). Even with the 3 that worked out was still very dimly lit. The pipes in the wall sounded like they were going to bust when a another room would turn on their water. It was so loud. When I booked this room it said it was a 3 star hotel, more of a 2. Without the staff a 1. There not being an elevator to the second floor was tough. Then there were 2 sounds at night. One sounded like something cheering on wood above me, and the other was something tapping on the wall. There was an extra charge when I checked in that wasn't on the site when I booked it. This could be the hotel or this dues fault, bit sure. My rating didn't really reflect the start because of the categories."

"Love to travel, we always stayed at Westin, always great experience. Booked the Omni resort and spa not knowing anything about it but liked reviews. Once we pulled into resort we were pleasantly surprised. WOW was first word we said. This place is SPECTACULAR, FANTASY ISLANDfor those old enough to remember. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE THIS PLACE. GO to check in for SUNDAY and MONDAY my mistake I did not have reservations for SUNDAY. Angel at the front desk said "no worries I will take care of everything " SHE WAS TREMENDOUS, upgraded us to GREAT ROOM. I cannot say enough things about this resort from the valet team to front desk to room service GREAT. I WILL ONLY STAY AT OMNI RESORTS from now on. I GIVE THIS RESORT 10 STARS. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE YOU MADE OUR 40th ANNIVERSARY MEMORABLE ❤️."

"Perfect location in downtown Carlsbad. An easy walk to anything you may possibly need. The Jacuzzi unfortunately, was not heating properly when we were there, so was not able to enjoy. The pool is in the front of the Resort next to a very popular restaurant. It’s not very quiet and not relaxing to set at.  they have a beautiful green lawn that overlooks the ocean with lots of lounging chairs that is decently, quiet and relaxing. The elevator is slow and old, and I preferred to use the stairs.  the king size bed was very comfortable to sleep in. We enjoyed having a little kitchen that we were able to keep leftover food in and reheat ."

"We had a great time at the Carlsbad Sheraton for my birthday staycation! I loved Taryn, the front desk gal; she was helpful and friendly. Taryn  allowed my friend to decorate a few lounge chairs at the pool before I arrived for my surprise birthday. Most places wouldn’t have allowed that, and I was very appreciative.  The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were roomy. Unfortunately, some noisy people were above us for half the night. Thankfully, security asked him to shut up, and at check-out, Taryn waved my resort fee and sincerely apologized. I almost forgot to mention the lovely restaurant and Café at the poolside. I ordered myself a cup of coffee, and the barista made me a complimentary chai tea latte for my birthday. I look forward to Coming back for another day of vacation "

"Overall, this is a very good resort hotel. I can't find any major problems. The service and cleanliness are very good. We checked in one hour earlier and had a free late check-out until 12:30. The scenery is also very beautiful. There are lounge chairs on the balcony. There is a public swimming pool and rest area outside, but the glass is mirrored during the day, so you can't see inside from the outside. There are not many people outside at night, so there is basically no privacy problem. The surrounding business and public transportation are not well developed, so it is recommended to drive. Currently, parking is $60 a day, and valet parking is only available. The service is quite fast. The room is very new and modern. The lack of latex pillows or sponge pillows, the air conditioner cannot be turned off at a time, and the sink is not easy to adjust the water temperature are minor shortcomings. The shower water pressure is extremely high. It is one of the hotels with the highest water pressure I have ever stayed in in the world. It is very comfortable. The breakfast included in the room price is a choice of main course, a choice of side dishes, and a choice of drinks. There are many choices, and the kimchi fried rice is particularly delicious. I also had dinner, which was OK, although the price-performance ratio is definitely at the hotel level."
