Stayed one night. Not sure if because of renovation, the reception area wasn't very welcoming, pretty much self check-in set up but staffed too. Busy hotel, popular pool, gym, need to wait your turn for sauna & steam room but Impressed with facilities. Room service food was basic. The room definitely need updating and shower pressure not great. Overall fine though, would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Village Hotel during the NYE. The room was big and spacious. Good location near the grocery.

The Club rooms are decent with great beds but problem with this hotel is the quality and choice of food being mainly themed around an American fast food dinner. The only thing I fancied was the Rack of Ribs but they didn't have any and I was told they hadn't for ages by the waiter so i chose the Mixed Grill but honestly after waiting 45 mins (not so fast) it was hardly edible the meat was tuff and dried out. I mentioned this to the server and all I got was a quick I'm sorry before he hurried away quickly.
On check out they said they would email me the invoice which didn't arrive. I had to ring the hotel to ask for a copy which I’m still waiting on.

Booked a club room, booked in given key, went to room, clearly not a club room, went back told I had been given a family room as all club rooms over booked, charged the same and no offer of reduction even though room was not up to the same standard.
