Great value all inclusive hotel! The hotel is connected to the Royal Solaris and you have access to amenities and restaurants at both hotels. However, the GR Caribe is the more modern and more exclusive hotel. The vibe is notably nicer for couples without kids as the Royal Solaris pools are usually full of families.

I recently stayed at GR Caribe by Solaris in an upgraded deluxe suite from Feb 13-19. The overall experience was fantastic. The hotel provided an awesome stay, and I plan to return next year as I have done for the past 4 years.

The access to the beach is great. It is great that there are 2 hotels owned by the same company next to each other. The hotel has great courtyards.
The food is ok. The buffet would run out of food and it would never get replenish. The food in restaurants was much better. If you didn't make the reservation at the restaurant, you aren't getting in.
Now the bad. The alcohol was really watered down except beer and wine. The service was just ok, many workers would not speak any English. The check in took quite long. People in our group that ordered 2 beds ended up with a single bed and the ones ordered single, ended up with doubles. We were located on the 6th floor and the elevator didn't work most of the time. It gets pretty slippery after rain!
I would rate this hotel 3 out of 5 stars.

Building is very old. i could hear my neighbors in the other room clear as day!! the door that joined our rooms had light pouring in from it.
Staff was fantastic!! except for the manager....
My girl friend rolled her ankle and fell on a set of stairs that turned into a ramp with no sign or safety ***** to indicate a change. Head manager took over 16 hours to meet with us and bring a doctor. (doctor was very good and spoke great English)
I asked for a copy of the accident report and she refused to give it to me. she made it sound like it was our fault and refused to accept responsibility....
Totally ruined our trip and we are never coming back to one of their properties....

We love the marina but unfortunately it was closed on this visit. Staff here is generally wonderful and very friendly and accommodating. There is a new dinner reservation app that is a bit clunky - hope they revise it to be more flexible and user friendly.

We had such an incredible time in this beautiful hotel. Amazing food in the restaurants and also at the snack bars. Beautiful beach. The drinks were really good and entertainment was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about it. Will definitely come back.
