"Excellent service, very friendly staff, and the food was superb. The room was very basic but clean, and the hotel, while small, was very practical. The only extremely negative part of our experience was an invitation we accepted for a 'beach membership' promotion. It wasted a lot of our time. A short, bald man got very aggressive with me because I didn't take what he was offering. They push you to make a decision on the spot, and we felt truly uncomfortable with the whole situation. It made for a very unpleasant moment."

"Upon check-in at 1 PM, the hotel initially tried to fob us off with a subpar room on the second floor. We had to wait until 3 PM to finally get a room on the sixth floor, only to find the entire floor under renovation with construction workers and materials filling the corridors. This was truly embarrassing for an InterContinental property. When we tried to change to a lagoon-facing room, several front desk staff members shirked responsibility and passed the buck. It took another hour for the lobby manager to finally offer us a spare room on the fourth floor. This hotel is riddled with issues and constant hassles. I strongly recommend avoiding it!"

"Simple and clean, with a relatively quiet surrounding environment. The location is excellent, ideal as a transit hotel for those arriving in the city or on their way to the airport. There are several convenience stores nearby, and the nearest shopping mall is about a ten-minute walk away."

"The drinks were the best in Cancun. The beach was nice. The view was amazing. Would recommend this for sure. Very family based though so make sure you realise it’s not adults only. Getting a chair on the beach is hard work haha so get ready to wake up early for a good spot. Plenty of room though but once you have a spot you’re best of keeping it. Food was the best in Cancun that dinning was so good"

"very bad customer service from Mr. Cruz - they do not have any customer service skills and even if you have a child listed on your reservation they will charge you an extra fee for every child already listed on your online reservation. They are just trying to make extra money and when you show them the proof that the child is already listed on your reservation they stated they do not work with this company (trip.com) and that they only accept the reservation it if was done with the third party company they hire. He stated Trip.com was higher by the third company and they do not accept their reservations and it was their mistake for not showing the child in their system and an additional fee had to be paid. Mr. Cruz and other staff members were going over every reservation we had to see how they could get us and charge us fees and they would not even try to resolve this issue and asked us to pay the fee or they would cancel and to go and find another hotel and to request a refund from Trip.com very bad staff service and do not recommend to stay there if you have minors with you because you will be asked to pay about $65 a night per minor per day! Totally a rip off they know you will pay it since you are already there! We had confirmed our stay couple weeks earlier and they had confirmed occupants and nights of the stay but suddenly they did not had any of that information!"
