L’Hermitage Hotel & Spa

If you work in the hospitality industry, and you want to know how to provide the best service possible, then visit this wonderful hotel! Beautiful place in perfectly tranquil setting. The team is exceptional. From the first interaction on email with the wonderful Antonia to the final warm farewell, nothing was a problem. We had a junior suite which was lovely and spacious. Breakfast lovely, lots to choose from. We had planned to explore the area in the evening but ended up heating in the restaurant every night as it was so good. Providing a simple and free buffet for guests between one and 3 pm is a lovely touch. Hope to return soon.

Driving down winding roads, we finally arrived at the extraordinary L'Hermitage Hotel and Spa in the mountains. Prepare to be totally charmed. The attention to detail throughout the resort is impressive. Our large suite was refreshingly huge, with a sitting room and a delightful, large wooden deck overlooking olive /lemon orchards. The scent in the air was glorious. The welcome wine bottle with fruit was much appreciated. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Service is polished, but friendly, helpful, and sincere. The spa pools are well maintained. A sublime retreat.

On this occasion, we stayed in early September and had a wonderful stay only complaining about over indulgence in the lovely outside restaurant area. This was our third stay and consistently good with the same staff of Juan, Angel and their very pleasant colleagues. It was our first post covid visit and we were honoured to be received like long lost friends, a lovely warm return. We also met new equally friendly staff members including Antonio and Pedro. It's been said before, don't go if you are looking for the delights of Magaluf but if you want to see Mallorca at its most natural and best, do pay the L'Hermitage a visit!

This hotel has a beautiful setting and we truly felt relaxed and chilled out here. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive and we loved Ma Angeles’ energy and enthusiasm. Breakfast was just delicious, as were the two dinners we had there. You need to be a confident driver to deal with the roads around the area, but the views are just beautiful. The only fault would be a little lacking in a**osphere. Whilst it was nice and quiet, even at dinner or the pool there would be a hush. I would have liked there to be a little more buzz. Also, the indoor pool was very cold and so unpleasant to use. However, these are small complaints. The room itself was beautiful and we felt very comfortable staying there.

Idyllic, tranquil location. Would recommend to anybody seeking some peace and quiet. One thing to note that it is fairly remote so getting a hire car rather than the exorbitant local taxi fares should be considered.

We had such a great time here for our Easter break. The staff's hospitality has been absolutely wonderful, warm and friendly throughout. The room is spacious, great facilities and a good balcony that oversees the back garden which is good for morning reading with a cuppa. There are plenty of great hiking and cycling routes around for exploration and a sense of escape in the nature. We didn't manage to use the pool facilities but they do look fab. At night all you could hear is the sound from the owls and the sheep/goats. Excellent breakfast provided though we were slightly disappointed in our dinner experience, as the plate was hot but the food was cold. When we politely asked for the food to be redone again, it came back as if it was heated in the microwave rather than cooked properly. But it didn't overwrite the overall pleasant dinner experience that we had in general and we would certainly go back again.

Perfect hotel in the mountains of Mallorca, very helpful staff, great room - large and comfortable. Nice pools, great restaurant with excellent food and staff. Great breakfasts. Perfect for relaxation, hiking, and endurance cycling. Crazy road going up to the hotel, especially from Bunyola. Only hesitation is because of the extreme roads & driving needed its not as easy to get to the beach as we expected before we arrived.

First, a shout out for the staff. Without exception, they were friendly, polite and helpful. Special mention to always-smiling Angel, but Pedro, Andreu (who doesn't smile so much) were also great. All of them couldn't do enough to help. Thank you guys. Location - a stunning spot in the Sierra Tramuntana. Rather isolated and the approach roads are challenging to say the least - especially from the Bunyola side (recommend you always approach from the East via Alaro). The Village of Orient is about 25 mins walk and worth a stroll for a pre-dinner drink. Rooms: Get a suite. The slightly higher price is well worth it. They are cooler and much nicer. We started in a 'superior double' and it was way too hot at night, the aircon needs replacing and the room was 'tired'. We then moved to a suite and it gave an altogether different experience. Food: Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice and various egg dishes done to order. They have a juicer to make your own smoothies etc. We never had lunch so can't comment. Dinner is very good but not outstanding. There is plenty of choice (4 fish dishes, 4 to 6 meat dishes plus pastas etc) so enough for a reasonable length of stay. Portions are over-large though and I would rather have less food and more variety in the vegetable accompaniments. The pool is very pleasant with enough sunbeds for around 30 people (only 20 rooms so that was never absolutely full). Some guests at the hotel had been coming back for years - up to 20 years! - and I can understand why. So, not flawless, but a lovely place nonetheless and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
