Savannah Beach Club Hotel & Spa

I desperately wanted to award a 5* review as the staff are so wonderful - warm, welcoming and just lovely people. The hotel itself is attractive, comfortable and well-run and overall we had an excellent holiday. I've sadly deducted a star for the following reasons. Firstly, the beach area is more suited to surfing and the sea is usually too rough for swimming. Of course, the hotel has no control over this but one of the 2 swimming pools is more ornamental than ideal for swimming and both pools are only 3ft 6ins deep and so are again not ideal for adult swimming. The hotel does have an agreement with a beach club just a mile up the coast where guests can spend 5 hours on a truly calm and beautiful Caribbean Sea beach. We wish we'd made more of this facility. Secondly, we found the food options were disappointingly unimaginative. The hotel has 3 restaurants, one of which opens only 3 evenings a week. Most meals are shared between the other 2 restaurants but for most meals the options were chicken or grilled fish plus either a lamb or pork dish accompanied by rice, mac & cheese and steamed mixed veg. Everything was perfectly edible but just a bit samey and sometimes I found myself eating the same for lunch and dinner. Chris' excellent huge homemade burgers at lunchtime were a welcome alternative and normally we never eat burgers!! Finally I would warn that there are lots of stairs from ground floor to Reception and the main restaurant and quite a few trips hazards around the grounds. These could be an issue for those less fit. Back to the staff though. The service levels and friendliness here are the best we've experienced anywhere and they more than make up for any negatives. A huge thank you to them all.

The hotel was clean and kept to a very high standard, friendly staff and always made to feel welcome. Excellent food and service Our main waitress was a young lady called Aquila and I must say she was a credit to the hotel always had a smile and made you feel very welcome Excellent attitude and very polite and friendly Thank you for making our stay pleasant

Straight out of the brochure. We’re living the dream! The hotel is not too big and not too small. The food is delicious and there’s more rum than you can shake a cocktail stick at.

Just got back from a lovely two week holiday at this hotel, the hotel was lovely, rooms where clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly, very welcoming and service was good. A shout out to a few that made are holiday so enjoyable with you in paradise,Kenny, Terrace, Alice, Gabi, Miguel, Miss Brome aka sister, Patrick, Roger, Samantha, Analis and Chris. Beach hut by drifter's restaurant is open at lunchtime for burger, hot dogs, philly cheese steak and chips well worth a daily visit. Also a few lunchtimes at Rachels restaurant they had a saxophone player Kelly very talented lady worth having lunch and listening to her. The hotel is a great location for peddel beach, race course and not far from St Lawrence gap jump on one of the local buses.

I’ve just had the most wonderful stay at the Savannah Beach club in Barbados. The food is exceptional! One of the best hotel restaurants I have been to with plenty of choice and beautiful fresh fish, salads and fruit options. The staff were attentive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the wonderful ambiance and the entertainment. The a**osphere at the savannah hotel is laid back and the setting is stunning. Everything is clean and to a high standard with beautiful swimming pools and beach location. We loved that you can easily walk along to Carlisle Bay which is an incredible stretch of beach. It was especially wonderful to see the horses in the sea in the morning. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants close by to walk to if you would like to experience some local places. If you are looking for the perfect escape on the south coast then this is it, We will be back! Thank you

Our trip to this beautiful hotel was out of this world, first of all we travelled with and 8month old and a 10year old. We emailed before our hoilday was due to ask if a cot would be provided and got a response right away and was told a cot would be provided for us. We had a deluxe ground floor pool room which was so handy for the buggy we had. STAFF The staff I would like to highlight I have seen posts about how miserable some members are! if you are working in the heat would you not be hot and bothered? and if you took the time to speck to the person you would find that it is not the case. To be fair we encountered some lovely guests that made our trip wonderful but also some rather rude and annoying guest/s around the time we stayed and could see how well the staff dealt with the unnecessary complaints ie plugs and water.... also telling people ie staff and guests how to stand and bothering others while they eat with family. What do you expect they really did do their best and made our stay the brilliant and stress free. STAFF Names Please forgive me if I missed quite a few names. TARA: at kids club my daughter was very happy with the service and kindness. Beverley without a doubt the best, thank you for your service to our family. Samantha who indeed came in on her day off to do a little girls hair as it was her last day! how nice! picture provided that my youngest does not go to just anyone and she did have a cuddle with Samantha. But over all even down to Maintenance, painters, chefs, entertainment you name it wonderful. Reviews.... After reading some bad reviews I was nervous to stay - however I didn't need to be as the hotel and stay was amazing. The hotel is super clean with great staff, the food on offer was delicious. You are asked every day at breakfast where would you like to dine for dinner (as there are 3 on site restaurants) with a option of booking a la carte restaurants is great. The beach bar is brilliant the staff are so friendly and treat you as family. The hotel is in a great location being so close to family we was visiting. ROOMS The rooms are very specious and extremely clean with comfy beds. We had daily room service and some days when baby was sleeping the ladies made no noise while cleaning. We will definitely stay again without a doubt. Please don't be put off by bad reviews - this place is great. From Mark and Troy

After reading some bad reviews I was nervous to stay - however I didn't need to be as the hotel and stay was amazing. The hotel is super clean with great staff. Yes I have been to all inclusives with a larger buffet selection but the food on offer was delicious. The option of booking a la carte restaurants is great and the food very good. The beach bar is brilliant - the hotel is in a great location. The rooms are very specious and extremely clean with comfy beds. Would definitely stay again. Please don't be put off by bad reviews - this place is great.

Positives: Good Location , reasonable Price, Good Breakfast (depends on your choice of package). Room was good, clean, fan, Air conditioner, TV, internet, Negatives: Staff could be very friendly such as Richard, Jalisa, Elecia (I hope I am writing it correct) but many not friendly with a bit of attitude especially morning ones. Lunch , Dinner: definitely they need to work on that . Everyday same lunch and dinner is very disappointing . The worse part I would say is the fact you can't swim in front of hotel , dirty and very rocky, so you need to walk 500M to Hilton or next door at Sugar Bay hotel . For us with no kids was okay but imagine you can't move your sun lounger and can't use the bar

First time in Barbados and what a beautiful place! Me my husband and 2 children are staying in the Savannah and we can’t fault it, staff so friendly, hotel is lovely, the beach is stunning I will not get sick of the view of the beach and the palm trees! Short walk to Carlisle bay spotted monkeys on our walk!, beach with jet skis , water sports , bars, hotel staff at the restaurants and bars are so friendly on hotel if the kids are picky and don’t want to try the food will happily make some chips, chicken nuggets , pizzas! Cocktails are fab the room we have you open the French doors and the kids can jump straight into the lazy river pool! Rooms are cleaned daily would 100 % recommend d this hotel.. so glad we still have 4 days left in paradise 🥰🏝️
