Service was too good. Staffs were super friendly and they cordially received me. Though they don't understand English but they tried to answer all my queries with the help of mobile translator. They upgraded my room from Basic Standard Room to Superior Standard Room. Breakfast was also good with many items. All are chinese items but it was okay. Only thing i would say is the location is bit inside but its quite & calm. I would definitely love to stay there whenever i will visit Beijing again.

It is close to Gulou Street subway station, and the transportation is quite convenient. There is a Huguo Temple snack shop downstairs, and there is a Qingfeng steamed bun shop 500 meters to the north. There are not many restaurants around, but they can meet basic dining needs. The price is cheap in this area, and the hygiene is not bad. The bed sheets are folded and cleaned every day. The room has heating and air conditioning, and it is not cold

I love this hotel.
The location is fantastic - just 2 min by foot behind Guloudajie station exit E. This station is also an interchange for Line 2 and Line 8. It is 1 stop away from ShiChaHai or you can even walk there.
There are popular restaurants and some shops around the vicinity which makes it convenient for meals.
The staff service is awesome - they are helpful and attend to my requests or help professionally and politely.
It is safe.. the short walk from main road in is less than a minute but there is a security guard along the lane and the lane has human traffic so it’s safe.
The hotel is quaint and clean. It’s a perfect environment for my stay. Cooling, ventilated and quiet. The bathroom has a mild musky smell perhaps of the humidity but it’s acceptable for me. Just leave the door open and spray some perfume.
I would stay here again if I come to Beijing again. I would recommend to my friends too.

Had a very happy stay with my elderly parents and will definitely stay here again if in Beijing next time.
Hotel is situated inside a small alley, near to the main road and 5mins walk away from a very convenient metro interchange station - Gulou Dajie (鼓楼大街). Can board either Line #2 or #8 from here, both of which leads directly to Beijing’s main attractions and major railway stations.
Hotel used to be the home of a high-rank official in Ming Dynasty, now converted into rooms which open directly into a courtyard (a traditional building style in Old Beijing). As it’s wood architecture, noise proofing isn’t the best. Not a big concern for us as it is a quiet neighborhood, only can hear the occasional loud conversations from other guests walking by.
Different stay experience from typical hotel rooms as the courtyard is a peaceful place for some tea, chit chat or general relaxing and star gazing after a tiring day’s walk.
Compliments to the very helpful and friendly service staff for a wonderful staying experience too. Every time we go to reception to ask questions, the staff are always quick to offer drinks while waiting. My parents’ room was a little stuffy (floor heating was turned up) and they immediately brought us a humidifier/air fan to improve air circulation.
There was also a small snack bag for each of us when checking out. Overall a very happy stay.

The best hostel in Beijing so far. I stayed in female dormitory and had a pleasant trip during 7 days. The staffs there were so helpful and ready to support you. They have laundry service for free and quite environment with new facilities and comfortable bed.

Nice boutique hotel in the Hutongs. Room was nice and comfortable and it was nice having the coffee machine in the lobby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Limited English but we had no problems at all. Wish it was slightly closer to metro, but the location near Shichahai and the lake was nice. Bell and Drum Towers were only a 2 minute walk away. Only complaint is that we had a lot of cigarette smoke coming into our room one of the nights.

Houhaiyuan Hotel situated in the Hutong area, and I absolutely love the surroundings and the view. Everything about this area is just wonderful! The room is clean and well maintained. The location is great—just a 10-minute walk to the Shichahai Subway Station (什剎海地铁站）, a 15-minute walk to Prince Gong Mansion (恭王府）a 15-minute walk to Yandai Diagonal Street (烟袋斜街) and close to Gulou Street (鼓楼大街). The customer service was excellent, with staff who were both helpful and polite. I would definitely love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

We were a bit wary of the room size, but it was very cozy. We were travelling with one big and one small suitcase, and more probably wouldn’t have fit in the room. Very clean and modern, nice breakfast. The staff don’t speak English, but are very nice and helpful. There is no good convenience store or similar around, but you can reach pretty much all major attractions of Beijing via the near metro station (5 minutes walking) within an hour or less.

The hotel is located on the Third Ring Road. The bus is convenient at the door. The subway is a bit far to walk for more than ten minutes. You can take one or two bus stops to transfer.
There are many restaurants near the hotel. Next to it is the Huguo Temple. There are many people at meal times. If you want to look at the dishes carefully and choose slowly, you can avoid meal times. There are also several stores around the community that can solve the problem of eating.
Finally, the room is small and close to the road. It is a bit noisy if the windows are not closed. The door and wardrobe are a bit damaged. The hotel hasn't turned on the heating at this time. It's a bit cold to sleep at night! The front desk said that the central heating in Beijing is being tested and repaired after 11/15, but I don't know if it's true or not. Anyway, I turned on the air conditioner to the highest setting but it still blew cold air, and it reduced the temperature from 21 degrees to 20 degrees 😨 I had to turn it off. Because it was noisy outside, I closed the window so the air in the room was blocked. Apart from this, everything else is acceptable.

GGuest UserWe truly enjoyed our stay at 前门漫心. They were very attentative and thoughtful right when we arrived at the hotel. Hot pear soup were served to warm us up while they settled our check in.
The front desk noticed that it is my girl's birthday the next day and asked if we would like to have a surprise for her. We were expecting a small piece of cake, but they surprised us with a whole room filled with the balloons and decorations. This is definitely a fond memory for my girl.
The staff helped to order takeaways for my sick child ( one even offered to cook for her) and helped booked our 相声tickets too. Appreciate all their kind gestures.

GGuest UserI found my hotel for Beijing now and will be returning everytime. The location is perfect right be the airport express line. Frontdesk service is excellent and very helpful. I also love the room layout with open bathroom, it's especially perfect for solo travelers and couples. For non-couples sharing the room there is a curtain to section off the bathroom part. Room service keeps leaving me more drinks everyday instead of just refilling them.

You can also write the word ”Fu” when you check in on the first day of the Chinese New Year, and paste it on the door yourself, which makes you feel the New Year's atmosphere when you are away from home

JJulia CLWe got confused after we checked in and noticed that there wasn't a door into the bathroom. Called the housekeeping, and they informed that the door was removed because it was spoilt. I think its rather irresponsible to not inform beforehand. The room was changed after complaining. The new room, not sure if it's because it's winter, it's like a sauna in the room! Even the corridor is cooler than the room! There is nothing we can do to adjust the temperature and with the direct sunlight shining in, it just makes it worse.
During checking in, I enquired about some day tours but the front office staff couldn't give much information. Generally, the staff are not very enthusiastic and friendly.
The plus point is the location. It is about 5 mins walk from Xidan metro station. Lots of food and shopping around the hotel.

Stayed in Jan 15 in 2025. It is just the best one for kids and families in Sanya and offer everything you need- from best sea views, close location to airport, clean and nice relax areas and of corse best ever kids playing areas inc carting, video games, non stop entertaiment activities, darts, snooker, table tennis and more! Cant believe they even have small zoo! Will we come back again? Deffinetely big YES! See you soon!

LLLL...Go straight out of the hotel lobby door, turn right to go to the nearest metro station/exit which is Zhushikou. Turn left to eat and shop at the famous Qianmen street and also other hutongs/alley. Totally worth it. Plus, there’s a Luckin coffee and Lawson opposite the hotel. Really convenient!
They kept the room really clean. There are some complaints about the drainage smell which there really is in the toilet but you will get used to it and eventually it will disappear as you take shower.
Overall it was a very good experience and nice place. The staffs were friendly and helpful.
Remember to clean the filter of the dryer if you wish to use it. As it’s quite dusty but I think people rarely use it anyways so I am fine with it. I even helped them clean and wash the dust away.
Anyways, I will definitely book again if I come back to Beijing. 💯

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel with my family and it was an absolute delight! This place is a haven for families seeking comfort and convenience. The room was incredibly spacious, allowing us to move around comfortably. My son was over the moon with the bathtub – it was a definite highlight of his stay!
One standout feature was the presence of two bathrooms, which proved to be a game-changer in terms of convenience. No more morning rush hour! I must give a special shout-out to the desk guy, Leo, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. His excellent service truly made a difference.
The location is also a major plus – surrounded by numerous restaurants, we were spoiled for choice when it came to dining options. It's a huge relief not having to venture far for a delicious meal.
All in all, this hotel exceeded our expectations and provided us with a fantastic family experience. We'll definitely be returning on our next visit!

DDr. Julio BernalWe love this hotel for the location and the size of the room. The place is very luxurious but one thing that can be improved is the temperature for the rooms. They over used the heater and we had to ask to lower it. It still felt too warm. We asked them to open the room window but still it was too hot. The breakfast was very good with some room for improvement. The buffet looked cramped in an area of the restaurant. The location of some of the items wasn’t the most strategically. For instance, to grab some fruit you have to be practically on top of other items of the salad bar. People could literally breath on top of the food. Overall this hotel is great but it needs a major upgrade in the rooms and the wet area of the gym/pool. The showers there need some work. The steam room wasn’t working. Only the dry sauna worked. It need better cleaning as well

Very Good
尤尤多拉The position of this hotel is amazing: you are literally in the center of Beijing, in a hold classical 胡同 (For a foreigner it can look like a disreputable place, but it is safe). Furthermore you are not even 15 minutes away from the forbidden city and there is a subway station next to the hotel, which is really convenient. The 24/7 desk service is perfect for early checkouts, especially if you need to catch a flight in the morning. The price is really low, If you consider the position. The AC is good, the room was really warm (even too much) and it was nice coming home after a long day in the cold of Beijing.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself is not very clean: when we arrived the room was pretty much okay but it looked like no one vacuumed the floors, there was also a lot of dust. The WiFi works terribly, which is a big deal breaker If you are a foreigner and would like to use it when you get back home. We didn't have many problems with the language because we also speak Chinese, but the staff can use translating apps to communicate. Another thing I didn't appreciate is that we were told that people would come into the room to give us free water and take out the trash: obviously these are good things, but maybe notifying the clients would be better so we could put away our valuable stuff.
Anyways, if you are interested in a low-cost place in the city centre and you don't have many problems with a little dirt in the room, this hotel is perfect. I would actually come back, if I ever return to Beijing.
