Very satisfied, Yangzong and Xiaomi were very considerate. On the evening of the 22nd, they added me on WeChat in advance to ask me what time I would arrive at the hotel. It's not easy to go to Meili Snow Mountain. The hotel is just opposite Feilai Temple. The front desk lady is very enthusiastic. Because we wanted to see Meili Snow Mountain, we adjusted the view room type. The lady upgraded the room type at a discount and gave us a breakfast, which was very heartwarming. The hotel's restaurant has rich breakfast and dinner, good environment, and good taste. I was fortunate to see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain, which was very happy.

We highly recommend staying in Yolo Guesthouse if you are staying overnight at Upper Yubeng Village. The owner and staff of the guesthouse was very friendly, helpful and informative throughout our stay.
We connected through WeChat prior to arrival and liaised with the guesthouse for transport from Lower Yubeng to upper Yubeng. The transport was included in the reservation. On arrival in the afternoon, the staff introduced and escorted us to a nearby restaurant for lunch even though it was drizzling.
The guesthouse is strategically located to have views of the valley downstream and upstream. The building structure is sturdy and well designed compared to many other accommodations in the villages. The interior of the room and the rooftop coffee bar is beautifully designed and clean. They also have Dyson hairdryer and Smeg electric kettle. Coffee at the rooftop bar was decent but it was accompanied by amazing views of the valley. We were the only ones at the rooftop bar after check in and we also had their in-house hotpot at night which we enjoyed.
Prior to departing for our day hike (Glacier lake from Upper Yubeng Village) the next day, the guesthouse even provided hiking poles, crampons, bottled water, Red Bull canned drinks and a homely ham and egg sandwich. We were also allowed to leave our bags stored with them as we had to check out in the late afternoon after returning from the hike. After checkout, the guesthouse also helped to call a vehicle to transport us down to lower Yubeng village.
We wished we had stayed here longer throughout our trip to Yubeng. We felt very welcomed and had a memorable stay. Thank you so much!

The hotel is very nice. I took a check-in video and a drone view. It's very cool! It should be the only B&B here that uses tents.
There is a record player, humidifier, skirting board, and complete electrical appliances in the room; there is a snow-capped mountain outside the window, and the view can be used as a reference. This room is said to be the best room without a telephone pole blocking it. It is also the highest; there is a small balcony outside the door, and it is very comfortable for two people to sit and chat.
There are pomegranates, pears, coffee, and moon cakes, which are very nice. If you come early, there are also fascia gun quotas.
Butler Jay is the biggest highlight of the B&B. The breakfast is very rich, especially the fried eggs are super delicious. You won't regret ordering one more. He will introduce us to several route strategies and precautions. The breakfast cakes are all made by Jay himself. We had dinner at the B&B on the first night, and Jay completely retained the flavor of free-range chicken.
Customer service Dapao and Gousheng are both great and very active in business. It is recommended that the boss add cat strips.
The last point is that the hotel is in Shangyubeng. Everyone should pay attention to the location. We walked to Xiayubeng to enter and exit, and the pickup truck cost 100 yuan more.

The hotel room can directly see the Meili Snow Mountain. The time of coming is not good. March is the rainy season in Yunnan and the clouds are very thick. It is a pity that I did not see the sunrise on the Golden Mountain. The Wunongding Observation Deck is right next to the hotel, which is very convenient.
Take a bus to the entrance of Deqin Tunnel (there is a welcome sign), and the hotel driver will come to pick you up. It is a 5-minute drive to the hotel. When you get off the bus, there will be staff offering white Hada and helping with luggage.
As soon as you open the door of the room, the moment when the curtains rise automatically is really amazing. You can see the Meili Snow Mountain and the scenery is excellent! The hotel's equipment is still very good, with B&O audio, Hermes bath sets, Dyson hair dryers, a big bathtub, super invincible water inlet and outlet functions, very quiet.
The sofa is also very comfortable, the fruits and snacks are very delicious, there are a lot of things in the mini bar, and the bathroom is lit as soon as you enter, which is really good. The hotel also has shawls and pajamas are also very comfortable. The afternoon tea bar on the fifth floor and the public area on the third floor are super photogenic! Breakfast is also delicious! We stayed at the Wake Up Mountain Hotel in June 2024 for a week. The Hotel is wonderful. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are excellent, and the view from the windows of the mountains is fantastic. The Hotel also has a viewing area (and a bar) on the roof, providing the best sunrise view of the entire region's mountains. The restaurant has a great menu and excellent food; it is the best restaurant in the area. Finally, the staff Wenwen and others are wonderful, friendly and helpful. MmailcoThe hotel is in a good location. I originally wanted to stay in the first store, which is under renovation. There are many guests in the second store. Generally speaking, the service is quite different from that of Wunongding. A good luxury resort hotel depends on whether the staff treats guests from the heart. There is no refrigerator in the room. Although the drinks are placed in the public area, it always feels a bit strange. Most people who come to Yubeng come to hike. I heard the foot bath bucket from the table next to me when I was having dinner. I clearly told the housekeeper that I had walked for nine hours that day, but I didnāt see it mentioned. Of course, it was delivered quickly after I asked. The hotel provides cleaning and shoe brushing services, and provides a lot of hiking equipment rental.
The lack of service lies in how to serve guests at this price, whether the smile is from the heart, and whether to think about the problem from the customer's perspective.
During the meal in the restaurant, the guests at the next table wanted to add a dish of hot sauce. The waiter directly replied that the kitchen was off work. There was no way. I was stunned. As long as the guests are still in the restaurant, they donāt have to cook a new dish. Praise the service staff of the bar on the third floor, they are still very enthusiastic. I really recommend learning about the service of the company. Design and hardware are important, but service is the real soft power. It is irreplaceable.

JJingxiangIt's not easy to book accommodation in Yubeng during the Spring Festival. Although this hotel is not the best in Xiayubeng, it is quite good for the price. It is located behind the White Pagoda in Xiayubeng, which is very convenient. There are also foot bath buckets and Chinese medicine foot bath bags in the room, which is very thoughtful. The breakfast rice noodles are average, and there are no other choices. If you are going to hike on the same day, it is recommended to prepare more food or set out early to eat.

The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we donāt speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!

Overall: The inn is nice and confortable but the service is terrible. Service made us feel very unwelcome and ruined the experience.
Room: humble but comfortable room. You can ask for a heater, which is very needed in the winter months (we stayed here in late November). Be aware that some rooms are marked as āMountain Viewā but in fact youāre in a covered area so wonāt really have a view (pictures attached) - we booked one of these rooms but since it was low season we were lucky to get a free upgrade and get one of the few rooms with a nice view.
Cleanliness: the rooms are relatively clean, but we had a mouldy shower curtain (see pictures).
Amenities: the restaurant / front desk area is very nice and cosy.
Service: terrible! Every time we needed their assistance it felt as if we were disturbing them from sitting by the fire (even though they barely had any customers and it seemed as if they were not busy at all). We are international travelerās that donāt speak Chinese and the service was unhelpful and not welcoming. Weāve had no issues anywhere else in our trip in China, this was definitely the worst we have experienced. After reading other reviews it seems that the boss is very helpful, but he wasnāt there when we stayed at the inn and it appears that the workers donāt do a good job when he is not around. The workers didnāt advise us that we needed crampons for one of the hikes we did (hikers from other inns told us that these were a must) so we had to reluctantly stay one more night to complete the hike.
When we booked another night, one service member told us a price and another service person told us a different (lower, almost 100cny lower) price. We were then charged the first (higher) price, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The day after when we tried to rent crampons from the inn the lady told us that it was 20 cny to rent per day, and that in other places it was 40 cny per day. We decided not to rent them because they looked in very bad condition. We later found out that you can buy them brand new at āmeets meili snow mountainā for 35cny and use them for the 2 hikes. We also had to rent hiking poles even though they provide them for free at the hotel given that the ones they had didnāt look in good condition and werenāt tall enough for us (the lady at the desk got frustrated with us because of this).
Overall, very unhelpful, impatient service - we felt extremely uncomfortable because of it. If youāre an international traveller and donāt speak much Chinese stay away!!
Food: was good but small portions compared to other places. We ended up eating most of our meals elsewhere because the service made us feel very unwelcome. Limited breakfast options, thereās many more options at āmeets meili snow mountainā.

GGuest UserYourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up.
The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ļ¼3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.

GGuest UserThis hotel offers a great location to view the Meili Snow Mountains during the morning golden peak and also sunset (if you're lucky with the weather conditions). It is right next to the bus stop, which means it is very convenient if you are planning to catch an early morning bus (in our case). Rooms can be a bit pricey, but we know that we are essentially paying for the view. The food at the hotel is also tasty, I didn't need to go and look anywhere else for dinner and breakfast. I appreciated the great help that was provided by a staff named Xiao Wei. We arrived at the hotel when it was raining and wasn't expecting to see any mountain range in sight, but then the sky suddenly cleared up during the evening just shortly before sunset whilst we were having dinner and Xiao Wei came over to tell us to go and have a look at the snow mountain, which made our hearts rushed with joy. We also appreciated when Xiao Wei told us again during night time that the mountain range was visible so we quickly opened the curtain to treat ourselves with another fantastic view. The viewing platform on the top floor is a great location to see the sunrise and golden peak. I personally think it's even better viewing at the Feilai Temple platform that most tourists go to. On a final note, Xiao Wei again was very kind to help us by going to the bus platform at 8.30 AM in the morning to help us purchase the bus tickets from the driver (we couldn't do so as wechat pay didn't work for us).
We were very happy with our stay here and got very lucky with some of the best views during our entire Yunnan trip. Thank you very much to Xiao Wei and the staff at Once Upon A Time in Meili :)

GGuest UserVery satisfied! The room is very clean! Very cost-effective! The boss is very enthusiastic and keeps giving advice to friends who come to Yubeng for the first time. He lent us a hiking pole and patiently helped us find the way. In the end, he was very responsible and arranged for someone to send our leftovers to Lijiang. 10 points! The first choice for hikers to Yubeng!
