Hotel dengan balkon di Edinburgh

Everything was overall very good. The location was exceptional. The rooms were so handy and practical, there was a quite functional and almost fully equipped kitchen and there was even a washing machine. I was planning to have breakfast outside - in a coffee shop or bakery, but i changed my plans to have my breakfast in the room sine the room was like studio and had given me a cosy feeling in the middle of the city center. The only downfall was that instead of keycards, they gave me a pincode (like numeric password) to open the doors and the codes were hand written by receptions and handed to customers just like that. This seemed to me not very safe while it may sound somehow practical to some other people in other ways. Maybe i need to get used to it if this method is going to be applied everywhere in the future, who knows.

Mixed experience – not quite 4-star quality for the price I recently stayed at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel and, unfortunately, had to request a room change upon arrival. The first room didn’t feel like what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel, especially at nearly £200 per night. It was very basic—no carpet, no robe, and no slippers. The room felt empty, more like a budget option than a premium stay. We were moved to another room, which did have a carpet, but it was essentially the same situation—still no slippers or robe etc. That said, there were a few positives: the location is great, the breakfast was really nice, and the pool itself was a good facility. Overall, I might stay here again, but only if the price reflects the actual experience. At this rate, I expected a bit more attention to detail and comfort.

the hotel is centrally located and walkable to all major site, it is attached to the only shopping mall in downtown so it is really convenient. the architectural design of the hotel is unique and stands out amongst historical buildings around, and very photogenic. However I have stayed in many W hotels around the world and I found this one interior qualities not up to par with the others, the decor and material of my room is cheap and not special, the toilet is so small and cramp, the vanity and sink is around 60cm and single sink, very tight to even get dry and undress. the room is dark with very small window, i think i stay in the back wing. Though the beds as usual are very comfortable. the hotel doesnt have much amenities there is no pool, entry lobby is very small [relatively], only one restaurant double as breakfast cafe and at night a japanese chain restaurant. two things also stands out. i do not recalled the last time i go in the hotel and there is a long line for check in which happens this time, there were at least 3 ppl in front and after me. and it takes a bit of time although the staff were very kind. also lines both nights when going to the bar, huge line on saturday, at least 12 ppl jammed in the lift lobby. I also noticed that there are not any native english speaking staff, not at the check in, nor maitre d at the bar nor the room service phone reception. we had a good stay but def a few things that stood out.

Quite a surprise when I was assigned to the top floor of the building as there was no lift and I had to walk all the way to the assigned room. Got myself bumped hard on my head at night as attic was low and I was looking for something after I turned off the light.

Satu-satunya kekurangan adalah selama tiga hari mereka tidak mengisi ulang sabun atau tisu di kamar mandi. Parkir disebutkan dalam tautan di bawah properti, tetapi saya malah harus membayar £84 untuk tiga hari di sebuah gedung yang terletak di atas bukit sekitar 8 menit berjalan kaki. Sarapan tidak termasuk. Jendela dapur tidak memiliki tirai, yang membuat apartemen benar-benar sulit dilihat! Pada malam hari, kursi dan vas besar di teras beterbangan; kami sangat takut! Keamanannya kurang memadai. Kami takut jendela dapur akan pecah; ada angin yang sangat kencang, tetapi mereka pasti sudah terbiasa dengan ini; mereka seharusnya menyediakan sistem perlindungan yang lebih baik dan lebih aman untuk orang-orang yang menginap di sana. Stafnya sopan dan ramah. Kami menggunakan fasilitas penitipan bagasi; dapurnya fungsional dan intuitif. Menurut saya, ini adalah solusi yang sangat baik dan alternatif untuk hotel. Total harga, yang kami bayarkan cukup mahal, hampir €700 ditambah uang jaminan. Tapi harga di kota ini memang tinggi, jadi menurut saya itu wajar. Kamar mandinya luas, satu-satunya kekurangannya adalah tidak ada pancuran... Jadi, sangat tidak nyaman untuk mandi; Anda harus berdiri di satu-satunya tempat air keluar. Tidak ada layanan kebersihan sampai setelah 7 hari, dan tidak ada penggantian handuk... Singkatnya, semuanya sangat mahal untuk layanan yang tidak ada. Setidaknya mereka bisa mengganti tisu toilet; memberi Anda satu setengah gulungan dalam 3 hari terasa sangat sedikit. Selain itu, hotel ini berjarak 10 menit berjalan kaki menanjak dari monumen dan tepat di pusat kota, jadi itu hotel yang bagus untuk saya, meskipun saya tidak mengerti mengapa pada tahun 2025 resepsionis tidak lagi berbicara bahasa seperti Italia... yang sangat penting di hotel-hotel Italia kami!

Karena penerbangannya dibatalkan, saya harus kembali satu hari lebih lambat dari yang direncanakan. Ini pertama kalinya saya merasakan hotel backpacker, dan itu sangat bagus. Kami tiba jam sepuluh, karena check-out terakhir dari hotel adalah jam 11, dan kami sudah memesan tur kastil pada jam 11. Mungkin sudah melewati waktu pengambilan kunci jam 7. ketika kami kembali ke hotel setelah seharian bersenang-senang, namun petugas masih sangat aktif membantu kami menemukan jalan.Semuanya diurus dengan sangat baik, memungkinkan kami menghabiskan hari dengan bahagia tanpa gangguan. Sebagai hotel backpacker, bagus banget. Overall kamarnya sangat nyaman dan hangat. Kami dikasih kamar triple di lantai paling atas dengan double bed dan single bed. Orang lanjut usia tidak perlu khawatir naik turun . Kamar mandi bersama di lantai juga sangat bersih dan rapi, dan teman sekamar yang berbagi juga menggunakannya dengan baik. Sangat nyaman terdapat wastafel di dalam kamar, sangat nyaman untuk mencuci buah-buahan, mencuci tangan, menggosok gigi dan muka. Kamar juga memiliki TV dan brankas kecil. Meja samping tempat tidur dilengkapi dengan cermin, lemari laci laci dan lemari yang lucu. Saran kecil saya adalah akan lebih baik jika ada lebih banyak tempat untuk menggantung pakaian, kalau tidak menurut saya sangat bagus.

The location is great. There are bus stops right in front of it for both sides. It is very easy to go to Rosslyne Chapel or the city center. There is always hot water. The wifi works well. The rooms are fine. The only downside is there is no breakfast. That's fine too, there are many alternatives outside. There are no hotel slippers, but that's nowhere else in the UK. So bring your slippers in your suitcase when you come to the UK. I would definitely stay here again if I came back because of its location and very good price/performance value 👍👍👍
