This was my first time at a hotel run by students and I had a wonderful experience. All the staff at reception and at the breakfast were wonderfully attentive and professional. The hotel is quite modern, clean and spacious, the rooms are very comfortable and large, and the bathroom had an excellent shower. For breakfast they offer an open buffet which included a variety of cheeses, ham and pastrami, yoghurt, cereals, etc.., and they serve the best coffee I had during my stay in Amsterdam. There is a tram stop just infront of the hotel that takes you to Amsterdam centraal in about 15 minutes. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and I definitely recommend it for short or long stays in Amsterdam.

Long weekend spent in Amsterdam for my wife’s birthday. I must say what an amazing concept, the students live, eat, learn, work on campus and run the hotel. From the first minute you arrive to when you check out, you are well taken care of. There are 20 runs at the hotel, with every room having a different theme. If,when I visit Amsterdam again I will definitely stay here. Tram runs right outside the hotel and within 15 minutes you’re in the city center. Special thanks to the cleaning and breakfast staff, outstanding.

Wonderful experience in what is a school for potential Hotel Staff. The students fill all positions across an operating hotel and do so extremely well, with courtesy and politeness you may find hard to beat. With about 20 rooms sponsored by hotel chains and individually furnished they are large with walk in showers. Quiet, very comfortable and you could not ask for more. Breakfast was enjoyable self serve continental style and we ate dinner in the restaurant one evening, a 5 course tasting menu which was superb in every way. The tram stop is immediately outside the hotel and in 15-20 mins you are at Centraal Station. There is a lovely park adjacent. We would recommend this hotel for location, cost, quality of service.

We had a wonderful time in this excellent hotel. The rooms and facilities were first class and spotlessly clean. Staff could not have been more friendly nor helpful. Breakfast was delicious and unlimited. Only slight downside is that it is quite far from the city centre and there was no food nor drink available at the weekend. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I have just returned from a stay here and I honestly couldn't fault it. The staff are all so friendly and helpful- nothing is too much for them. The rooms were spotless and extremely clean. The location is perfect, you're far enough out of the town centre for it not to be too busy but you're right opposite a tram line so travelling to the centre couldn't be easier. The breakfast choices were limited but there was still a good range and everything was very tasty! Would definitely visit again 😊

We stayed at Skotel Amsterdam for only one night but the experience was very good. The rooms were very spacious and clean. What was especially sweet was the little note that was left on our bed by the students who had set up our room before our coming - a really nice personal touch that made me feel welcome. The staff (students) were all friendly and ready to help us. Already when I asked information about parking before our arrival I got a quick response from the hotel team. The tram station was in front of the hotel so it was also very easy to get to the city centre by the public transport. The only little thing that I did not like too much in our room was the shower. I wish there was an extra door on the shower or something so the water would not have gotten out of the cabin so much.

Really an amazing experience! All the students who work there are really friendly, helpfull and nice. A very positive atmosphere and I would recommend anyone who comes in Amsterdam to stay there. Clean, environment friendly and cozy. Only positive things!
