Anthemis Apartment

YOU NEED A CAR! THERE IS NOTHING WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE IN THE HOT SUN! we didn't get that memo and arrived by taxi at 1am. There was water in the fridge thankfully ( one of two in this large 2-bedroomed apar**ent). 2 x single beds in each bedroom slept 4 of us adult two teens and one 10 year old. Beds were so comfy and sheets crisp and clean. The pool is large and the pool and beds are kept beautifully clean. Kitchen has all you need in terms of 2-ring hob, coffee maker sandwich toaster and kettle, lots of dishes pans and utensils. Ordinarily we would eat out each night but we DIDNT HAVE A CAR lol. Its for this reason I'm giving the place 5 stars! The owners and staff are amazing. The cleaner first offered to take us shopping after work but when Ruby the owner heard we were stuck, she was straight to the rescue! She took us shopping and to the beach. Seraphim the barman/reception was a delight, so cheerful and helpful. The sunrise/sunsets are incredible here. The area is peaceful and fairly remote. We would definitely stay here again with a hire car

Από τα πιο άνετα δωμάτια που έχουμε πάρει με κοινωνικό τουρισμό (τετρακλινο), με κουζίνα, ψυγείο, απλό και ευρύχωρο. Η θέα από το μπαλκόνι βλέπει θάλασσα και πισίνα, ήταν αρκετά εντυπωσιακό. Η πισίνα αρκετά μεγάλη, ανοιχτή από το πρωί έως τις 8;30-9:00 το βράδυ. Το προσωπικό θα έλεγα ότι ήταν πολύ φιλικό και φιλόξενο, μας έδωσαν και κάποιες συμβουλές που να πάμε για μπάνιο, φαγητό κτλ. Σε γενικές γραμμές είχαμε μια πολύ ευχάριστη διαμονή, με ηρεμία, ιδανική για οικογένεια. Θα ξανά πήγαινα εύκολα!

Siamo agli sgoccioli. Dopo aver visitato Elafonissi, Balos, Falassarna, Agia Pelagia, Kissamos, Chania e Hiraklion, quindi le più interessanti attrattive di Creta, ci restano le due ultime notti. Decidiamo di spenderle nella *****ola Akrotiri e precisamente a Stavros, vicino a Chania. Forse siamo abbagliati dal ricordo cinematografico de "La danza di Zorba" la cui scena finale è stata girata nel 1968 sulla spiaggia di Stavros, d'altra parte la nostra generazione (70 anni) ricorda con nostalgia quel film con Anthony Queen e Irena Papas. Fatto sta che cerchiamo un hotel in zona e a due km. da Stavros troviamo lo Studio Anthemis. Ci accoglie Giovanni, il proprietario che in questa fine stagione si trova tutto solo a gestire la baracca ma non sembra preoccup****ne troppo anche perchè da ottobre tornerà alla sua principale attività di agronomo esperto di olivicultura. Si tratta di una struttura moderna e gli studios sono degli appartamenti confortevoli con bella vista sul mare non lontano. Naturalmente quando di pomeriggio torniamo dalle spiagge di Marathi o Loutraki che anche se più lontane preferiamo a Stavros, non si può prescindere da un tuffo in piscina prima del riposino in attesa dell'ora di cena. La piscina è veramente un valore aggiunto, vuoi perchè non c'è mai nessuno, vuoi perchè siamo circondati dal silenzio assoluto. Forse la nostra fortuna è stata quella di capitare a fine stagione, anche la spesa si rivela contenuta.
