Lucky Restaurant & Guest House

Lucky Guest house is great if you want to be near the Taj Mahal. It’s a 5 mins walk to the Taj Mahal. The staff members are great and attentive. I think they just need to work more on cleanliness. Our bed sheets were a little dirty and the bathroom floors weren’t clean either. Otherwise, we had a great stay at Lucky Guest House.

I’ve been traveling India for 2 months, and the experience at Lucky’s was the most unpleasant so far. Regardless of the property being the most expensive accommodation in the area, it just felt like a total ripoff. We (a couple) stayed at the standard room, specifically asked for AC at the very hot and humid days of September. The hotel staff said the AC should work fine but if there’s a problem we should let them know (already quite suspicious). Not only the AC didn’t work fine at all and did not cool the room, but in the middle of the night the AC just broke and fell apart almost hitting our heads. Not to mention the constant dripping on the bed making it soaking wet. It was literally one of the worst nights of our trip. In addition, there was NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWERS whatsoever. In the morning, when the owner came to see us, he claimed that “it is not his problem and not in his hands, but uncontrollable machine issues” and in addition was quite aggressive and did not try to help with any resolution. As for the hot water, he said we should have told them to turn on the boiler, because “we have to choose between hot waters at winter to AC at summer” or some odd explanation of that ***ner. In conclusion, totally overpriced for the mediocre rooms and poor experience with not functioning AC and no hot waters in shower. Bad treatment from the owner did not make it any better. Would not recommend.

Stayed a night, arrived and saw a building site. Was led across road to a dusty noisey building work stopped after drilling at 9pm the traffic noise on the main corner is clearly heard as are other guests. No tv, no phone, smells of concrete dust and that is caked on everything. The main door is locked and the Entrance via a side door through an old knocked down wall. No TV, breakfast simple but late and just not a nice experience at all. Don’t stay here unless you want to be awake at 4am when the labourer is carrying out dozens of sacks of rubble from the top floor and creating more dust. No TV no vibe.

Tophotel! Beetje hangloose vibe en daar houden wij van! Groot bed! Op dakterras heerlijk genoten van American breakfast. Omelet met toast/jam/coffee/tea/juice. De nieuwsgierige apen kwamen even op bezoek maar wees gerust het dakterras heeft een hekwerk. Vriendelijke eigenaar en de ober laat nadrukkelijk weten dat hij graag een fooi wil....maar geef hem eens ongelijk! 😊Taj Mahal is letterlijk 5 minuten om de hoek(Eten/snoep verboden) omgeving van hotel is 1001 nacht. Koeien, honden en toeterende tuktuks in smalle straatjes.

Absolutely made our stay in Agra... thanks to all the staff for everything! We moved here after leaving another hotel we didn't like & opted for a premium room which was very clean, had a kettle, filtered water, hairdryer and coffee facilities opening onto a large shared terrace. They even brought a heater for us because it's cold! Cost; Rupees 2,500. It was a little haven away from the hectic streets outside and we ended up staying 3 nights. A few things went wrong; lack of internet, hot water and plugs not working but everything was always rectified quickly which is all we could ask for. We ended up with good wifi and scalding hot water! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, Room 8 and the team who do such a great job! Thank you.

Hotel Taj Mahal e yürüyerek 10-15 dakikadır. Tesis sahibi çok ilgili alışveriş, ulaşım gibi konularda yardımcı olmaya çalışıyor. Tesisin hemen karşısında uçak, tren, otobüs bilet rezervasyonlarını yapabileceğiniz bir seyehat acentası var. Teras kafesi TAJ MAHAL ***zaralı ve burada nefis hint yemeklerini yiyebilirsiniz. I just had a bad experience here with my family, so beware of this accommodation. It is rated high but it should really indicate in what type of accommodation. As an experienced backpacker evolved into avid traveller, i have seen my share of cheating attempts at budget accommodation, but it simply feels bad when they try on your whole family on a family vacation. They told our cab&driver company they would arrange a tour guide for free and eventually they tried to charge us almost 2000 rupees. We had one included with the tour, so this attempt of cheating was disappointing since we missed the guided tour. They can try to justify it as miscommunication, but that is also simply wrong. They could have taken some responsibility. They also recommended us to visit Taj Mahal in the morning. All mornings are foggy and cold at this time of the year, so you cannot see it. We are so glad we did not listen to them and just visited it in the afternoon even if crowded. It would have ruined our family trip further. In addition: Not enough bed covers for the room capacity, which is a problem in winter. Several of us got a cold. Hot water had no pressure and cycled from hot to cold. In short, dont bother staying here. There is much similar accommodation in this location, and here they are not honest. Note: I usually give good rates in tripadvisor to recommend good affordable services, but this accommodation required a shout out! Stay away!!

Wonderful experience during stay at their guest house. Myself & my wife, both senior citizen, stayed there on 7- 9 December, 2023. Room was excellent, with all amenities, even hair drier. Very close 60-70 mts from Tajmahal west gate. Highly recommended.

The best guest house I've been in India, clean, excellent service, everyone very kind and very very professional. Totally recomend it! Also the location ia the best, you can't be more closer to the taj mahal and you have a good view from the restaurant
