The hotel is very modern and is in great condition. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are spacious by Japan standards. The design is clean and very contemporary. Just around the corner from the walking street and new shopping mall and bus station. A few stations from the main train station on the tram. Highly recommended.

The only two areas less convenient is finding the entrance when (1)we checked in late in evening and the mall entrance was closed, we found the outskirt entrance but singages were not so clear and (2) parking was not so easy to find and had to roll luggages over a distance, parker is available at own expense at mall outdoor parking lots and hotel has connection to an indoor car park at similar price

The hotel is near the shopping streets.It's convenience for us to buy everything, includes the souvenirs and daily use.The grilling meat shops are covered all the street.Over 3 parking lots are nearby the hotel as well.Furthermore, many delicious Japanese food shops for choosing.The hotel also provides free water spa and sauna on the top floor which runs near 20hrs daily.The 3-persons bedrooms are clean and large, it has enough space for family to take a nap.Come again next time.

Hotel is 5 tram stops away from Kumamoto station, red line. Shopping street is conveniently located, just a few minutes walk away, with many stores and eateries..There was a big Christmas market just in front of the shopping street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and have all amenities needed. They have coin operated washer cum dryer on 3rd floor, 600 yen. Nice hotel for a short stay.

Most important thing to know about this hotel is that THERE IS NO BATHROOM IN THE ROOMS!! IF you do not intend to shower / bathe in the public bath, then you will have to have a simple wipe down and the only thing in the room is a toilet bowl (with bidet). The location is pretty remote but because of the remote location you have a great view. All rooms facing the back of the hotel get a great view of the mountains behind. Parking is free! After going to the Onsen, you get free Ramen as well and the ramen changes daily. I noticed there were many Japanese families having a great time in the hotel when I was there. It is also equiped with a karaoke room, ping pong tables, massage chairs. If you are not comfortable going to public baths, please find another property.

Excellent location right next to Kumamoto train station, which allowed us to easily travel on both the Shinkansen and local trams to go all over Kumamoto. Hotel room was nice and clean and staff were very helpful and friendly!

Great Location and nice staffs are covering the old fashioned facilities which had been 60 years since its establishment. I love all of this hotel including the breakfast. Japanese style breakfast is recommended. Thank you all staffs who supported me during my stay.

There are 2 Daiwa Roynet Hotels in Kumamoto, so we took a taxi to the wrong one! Fortunately, they are walking distance from each other. The taxi driver cannot read English, so you need to be clear that it is the Ginza Dori one. It is not near to the railway station, so tram ride is needed. We took a taxi because there were 2 of us and 2 large bags. I like the room size because of our large suitcases. There are many restaurants nearby. We love this place

First-class accommodation, first-class service attitude, first-class view outside the window! Let me say a few points. The master at the door helped us take the boxes and put them away when we left. The lady in the lobby also helped us push the boxes to the room! When the window of the room is opened, it is Kumamoto Castle with a wide view! Good location, downstairs is all kinds of food, drink and entertainment, so comfortable! Satisfied!

Located in the resort area, suitable for self-drive personnel, and zoo, Aso volcano is very close, there is a large free parking lot for parking,, I ordered a one-night 2-eat, dinner, are buffet, dinner highlight is all-you-can-eat matsutake crab legs , all you can drink different sake, the others are the usual Japanese buffet. Nothing special. Breakfast was also no highlight, but there was daylight at breakfast, being able to look at the outside view against the large glass window was relaxing.

One of the best onsen hotels we have ever stayed at. The room was spacious, featuring three basins and two restrooms—plenty of space for three adults. The hotel is surrounded by trees and flowers, creating a beautiful and peaceful environment. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with many options to choose from. We were so happy with our stay at this hotel!

The homestay is in a literary hall. A large complex. The room is two suites. They have bathrooms and baths. The room also has indoor and outdoor pools. The room is very comfortable. The store provides extra breakfast and dinner. Dinner is a rich Chinese food. It is a rare worker to eat Chinese food. The staff are very enthusiastic and most of the staff can speak Chinese. If you want to ask in advance, you can call and contact the staff in advance to communicate with WeChat. We played a ball in Asu. The staff asked us about several stadiums in order to find the right time. Thank you very much.

The hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car. The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room. We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous. There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

Very pleasant impressions from staying in this place. Spacious and clean rooms in a traditional style with a view of the river. Very tasty dinner and breakfast (you can choose Western). Family baths are not very big, it is comfortable for two people, if there are three or four of you - it will be cramped. From the ryokan we were driven by car to the bus stop, which was very convenient considering our heavy suitcases.

Kurokawa Onsen is a hot spring town near Aso. It has many hot spring hotels and some of them have a long history. Relatively speaking, the hot spring facilities are also a bit old. I was a little worried about this trip, but after arriving, Kurokawa Ryokan Kurokawaso made me very satisfied in all aspects. Ctrip's customer service was very considerate and helped me make an appointment for the hotel pick-up. We are a couple from Australia and I only speak a little Japanese. This was a truly AMAZING experience! The staff were so kind and friendly, giving us assistance was no issue for them. The location is stunning, the private onsen was glorious and the dinners and breakfasts were bigger than we could possibly eat (and we love our food). The price point for this experience was so good - fantastic value for money. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little adventure in the heart of countryside Japan. If you get the chance to also visit Minamiaso (they will take you there at no extra charge) for the day, grab some e-bikes and have a ride around- take in the beautiful scenery and wonderful food options.

From already travelled to another rakuten villa, I came with high expectation. I can definitely say that the villa is on par with the other ones. It has a very big living space, very well cleaned, newly built, plenty of equipments and amenities. I believe what stands out the most is the private Onsen and sauna, which is not offered in many places. Travelers would want to travel here when there is day light, I went during the night and it was pitch black, the road is narrow, windy and uphill which required high level of cautiousness. Overall a highly recommend this place when travelling to nearby region.

This is a small hotel located on the mountain in the Kurokawa Hot Spring area. The environment is quiet and the creek next to the hotel is beautiful. It is convenient for self-driving tours. There are only 8 rooms in the entire hotel, including 6 cabin-style rooms and 2 rooms in the main building. - There are rooms with open-air hot springs and indoor hot spring baths: 3 rooms in total - Rooms with open-air hot spring baths: 3 rooms in total - Rooms with indoor hot spring baths: 2 rooms in total When we booked the room, because the rooms with open-air hot spring baths were fully booked, we could only book rooms with indoor hot spring baths. Although the hot springs did not have outdoor views, the hot spring pools were very large, and both of us could still soak in them. Large space; the hot spring water has a strong sulfur smell and is hot enough to feel comfortable. Since each room has a private bath, there are no other people in the public baths. The staff has a very good attitude and is very polite from reception, introducing room facilities and serving meals. Breakfast and dinner are served in a private room, and sukiyaki is also available for dinner. The wagyu beef is very tender and melts in your mouth. However, if I come to Kurokawa Onsen in winter to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei (the famous local light festival), I will choose to stay in a hotel near the visitor center, because it takes 8 hours to drive out from Onyuku Nohana to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei. The driving time is 30 minutes. Driving on a narrow mountain road is often dangerous when opposing vehicles have to back up to give way to each other.

The bathroom closes at 9am, which is a bit too early for people who don't wake up early but want to take a shower in the morning. It should close for cleaning at 11am, which is good. Other than that, everything else is good. The room has a view of Mt. Aso. The buffet has a lot to choose from. There are quite a lot of guests staying here, so be careful not to bump into each other in the restaurant.
