TTamuThe skyline restaurant is the best at sunset in this hotel. They have a transparent glass floor to watch everything under your feet. Many locals also get dressed up and come here to enjoy the million-dollar-worthy sight. You can also enjoy the buffet breakfast at the same restaurant if staying here.
I used the swimming pool and sauna on 9 floor. The staff there are very attentive and friendly. Feel like a queen being there!
The room is super clean and smell nice! I am amazed by the A.C. System. Believe me that’s very rare to find in Kathmandu!
All is very good from the beginning of check-in and till the end. They have free drop-off transportation to airport. So I would highly recommend to book the last nights in Nepal and enjoy a relaxing evening of here!

TTamuThe Hotel Barahi Kathmandu is in a great location, walking distance to great souvenirs in Thamal, tourist sites like the Garden of Dreams and the former Royal Palace.
The hotel staff were so friendly, engaging and helpful. The hotel has a pool up on level 7 with great views of Kathmandu. The only flaw with the pool is it is surrounded by the restaurant, so no one swims in it.
I had a suite the room was beautiful, very happy with the cleanliness and room service. The only flaw with the room is that it backed on to the service area for staff who were all working very hard, but there was banging and clanging all night and morning.

AAF2310The hotel is well situated in a quiet area, but within proximity to shops and restaurants, though a bit of a walk to Thamel.
The hotels amenities are good and the M club lounge is a nice to have if u book the lounge access.
The one negative thing is that the hotel overcharges on airport transportation (USD 35) and picks you up in a old Honda.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to accommodate every request. We stayed for a birthday celebration, and their thoughtful service made it truly special. If you’re looking to create unforgettable memories, this 5-star resort is the place to be.

TTamuWe knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to.
On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic.
As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace!
Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection.
We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe.
There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly.
The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. Niraj Yadav the receptionist and the team, we thank you dearly.

Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all.
The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great.
2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges.
Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience.
Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days.
Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern.
Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager.
A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.
