We are very happy with our stay at the Sofitel of Luang Prabang, very warm welcome from the arrival until our departure. This is a very quiet and relaxing hotel with plenty of serene atmosphere, which we were looking forward to get during our stay. As it is a bit out of the city center with 5 minutes drive or 10 minutes by tuktuk, they do offer free shuttles from 6pm to 9:30pm to town or back. Courteous staff, helpful and friendly people. Breakfast is simple, not gargantuan, sufficient enough, they offer free 5 minutes massage when you arrive for breakfast if you desire to have one… The pool and garden are beautiful and well maintained. All in all, good values and good vibes from this place, we will return and recommend it to our friends to go.

Room: The air conditioning is sufficient and there is no noise. There is also a fragrance system, and the high roof space makes people relax. The equipment is well-equipped and very new. I fell asleep on the first night without much fuss as I was in an area where bed trouble was most common when I was on a business trip. Service and breakfast: Very welcoming. There was a problem with the hot water on the first night. I called the front desk and sent someone to fix it immediately. There is a free shuttle to town. The breakfast is rich, especially the local millet noodles. Overall review: :) I don’t want to give a good review, because I’m afraid you might raise the price next time if you know more.

I originally wanted to stay here for three consecutive nights, but considering that I would leave early and return late every day, I would waste this leisurely vacation time. The hotel is located next to the Luang Prabang Night Market, which is diagonally opposite the Royal Palace. The hotel building is very stylish and I like the style very much. It is surrounded by greenery and the swimming pool in the middle is made of black bricks, which complement each other. Welcome fruits are prepared in the guest room, including golden mangoes, rambutans and apples. The hotel also provides bicycle riding services. There are not many breakfast varieties, but the standard is not low. There is delicious fried rice! Very nice, newly opened hotel in the center of the old town, from which the city can be easily explored on foot. The morning alms giving to the monks takes place right in front of the hotel. Free bike rental. Varied breakfast buffet. Beautiful pond with koi, but no swimming pool. Rooms are well equipped, but the bathtub in the wet room is not suitable for showering. A much wider tub would be needed here, or the area could be set up as a shower cubicle. Overall, highly recommended.
