It was our first time staying at this hotel and we were very satisfied with it. It is strategically located near the JR Hiroshima station, just a 5min walk from the nearest exit. The hotel is also very near the street car station (just behind the hotel) which we used it to get to many places in hiroshima easily. There are many malls within the vicinity, with a big Edion mall just opposite the hotel and big camera just about less than 5mins walk away. There's also a Lawson just right downstairs so that you can get any snacks or drinks easily. The room is very clean and isn't very small as expected. We were able to open up our 24inch luggage easily. You can also store your luggage under the bed. The amenities are free for everyone at the reception counter. You'll have to collect it yourself so we collected our 3days supply so we don't have to keep going to reception floor to get it. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay and will definitely stay here again if we visit Hiroshima in future.

This was the 3rd Universal Hotel I stayed (Kyoto and Okayama). Location is good, about 400 meters from Hiroshima station. This hotel and the one in Kyoto are like an apartment building, opened to the outside. Even though the room was comfortable, once out the door you could feel the cold of the exterior. The food was standard in all the universal hotels although in the ones here and Kyoto the food was hot whereas in Okayama was cold. The room included breakfast and dinner though. All things considered, I would stay in the Universal hotels again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Location is good for bus and tram connections, and is about midway between he train station and the peace park. It is on a major shopping street, with convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. The room was a little dark.The free breakfast is fine, but would be better if tea was offered as well as coffee, especially as the room has no teabags. The washer-dryer works fine but takes 2 hours and then needs an additional dry time of 30-minutes extra.

About 10 mins walk from Hiroshima station. I stayed in the twin room and it’s possible to open 2 big luggages with some creativity. The pictures of the big onsen are from the male onsen. The female onsen is much smaller and with only 2 wash stations… and the wash stations have no partitions. Just gotta time your baths well. The hotel does not offer Yamato so you gotta take a trek to a convenience store or the actual Yamato store which is about 10 mins away on foot. One of the staff’s attitude was pretty harsh and put her hand out to stop us when we tried to take some amenities form the amenities bar upon check in. Perhaps a simple polite explanation (or maybe just let your guests have extra amenities?) would suffice. There are pretty nice izakayas a short walk away and a laundromat just across the street. Okay for a short stay if you value a laundromat nearby.

Currently, essentials like toothbrushes must be collected from a distribution area near the second-floor lobby, rather than being pre-placed in the room. This minor inconvenience is the only thing preventing an absolutely perfect score. Despite this small hiccup, my overall stay was exceptional. For travelers seeking convenience, cleanliness, and comfort in the heart of the city, this hotel delivers on all fronts. I departed well-rested and thoroughly satisfied – and isn't that exactly what we're all looking for?

As I arrived earlier than the check-in time, I asked if I could just leave my luggage, but they were happy to go through the check-in process as it was ready.

Hotel Granvia is always a good hotel to stay if you want to be near the train station as they are part of the JR Group hotel. The service is excellent as usual and the Japanese service and amenities is very good. Great hotel for holiday.

Very good location, walking distance from all major sites. Staff very friendly and helful. Great breakfast, quality food and impecable staff. Wide variety of food, both asian and western. SPA from L’Occitanne amazing. Really worth a try! Will recommend to stay here to anyone visiting Hiroshima.

The room is relatively large, and the most important thing is that it is convenient, and the newly opened facilities are very new. Downstairs is self-service check-in and check-out. There is a viewing platform outside the front desk on the 7th floor. The entrance is not easy to find, but most elevators can reach it.

Overall its a good hotel with very good service. Location next to hiroshima station which was very convenient. However, disappointed with buffet dinner. Although hotel guest were offered 25% off. Mainly because of quality and most food offered were cold. For example, the grilled beef was not a slice as in the picture. It came in a small bowl with 2 tiny finger size beef which was cold. You know what happens when you put cold fat beef in your mouth! The buffet breakfast was unsatisfactory either. Sam kind of salad as dinner. For me i am a very simple person. Let me have my bacon and eggs, toast and coffee, i would be very satisfied. Unfortunately, it was not so! The eggs were fried in a bowl (cold as usual ) and there was something between ham and bacon but not everyday. Again most of the food were cold! Imagine a cold winter day of 1 degree celcius outside. And having to eat food that were not even warm! I would very much like to stay there again but would not eat there. Finally, i provided my credit card for check in so that any charges incurred could be deducted. But do not understand why they wanted me to pay for the buffet dinner first? Even though i had given them my room number? I obviously have no problem paying for anything!

Centrally located. I stayed only for a night and no issues at all. Tho the room is a bit compact. They need to upgrade their tv to smart TV for us to connect to Netflix.

The hotel is very comfortable and warm, and you can see Fukuyama Castle. It is convenient for travel. There is an open Fukuyama Hall Garden next to Fukuyama Castle, which is very quiet. What I like most is that there are bicycles for rent near the hotel. Our family of three rides in the streets of Fukuyama every day, which is very comfortable.

I really like this small fishing village of Yuzhipu, with monuments and ancient street views, full of nostalgic historical atmosphere, and the wind is bright. The wind pavilion is close to the coast, the window view is very beautiful, the location is super good, the one parking and two food are quite excellent, the service is excellent, especially the restaurant waiter Motohiro, the lobby receptionist Sirikwan is superb, I am impressed. I like the hot spring facilities very much. There are three places to soak, and you can see the beautiful sea view and island.

Super good hotel! Everything was perfect, in particular the front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, helping me to book a massage and also recommending and reserving a good sashimi restaurant at short notice. Great view of Fukuyama Castle from the window. Even a massage chair in the room, the first time I’ve ever seen this in a hotel room! Great location in a lively area.

The room is large and the double bed is enough for a family of four. The disadvantage is that there is no place to put clothes in the bathroom. You need to put them on a small chair by the door. Free drinks/breakfast are available.

Because the hotel is excellent in all aspects, I booked a second night immediately after booking one night. The hotel is great, located 50 meters from the north exit of Fushan Station, especially suitable for independent travelers with suitcases. The hotel has a great view. Free soft drinks are provided in the executive lounge from afternoon to evening, and bicycles can be rented for free. I rode my bicycle to the supermarket and small noodle restaurant in the residential area.

Clean and comfortable hotel situated close to transport ie train station, shops and restaurants. Comfy beds, great bathtub and good sized rooms. The only drawback was the bright light that would go on in the toilet at night. Breakfast was well organised with lots of choices. There is a laundry with dryers as well but it was on a different floor.

The room is very big, the bed is very comfortable, there are Japanese cushions and TV in the living room, a large wardrobe, and a safe. The door has a password lock, so it is very convenient not to bring a room card. It is clean and tidy, the service attitude is good, and there are free refreshments, and you can eat while looking at the sea.

The hotel is very nice, as it has originally been conceived. Lovely lobby, yukatas at disposal, outside swimming pool, nice onsen with beautiful view by the pool and another onsen with all the facilities and amenities in the hotel. Big and eautifully furbished japanese style rooms. Very nice and professional reception staff, and one person speaking French and English. Yeah !!! This being said, the hotel deserves an in depth cleaning session : carpets on the hallways, outside onsen, furnitures, walls. It looks a bit worn out. Also, during the whole evening there was a strong smell of grilled octopus / squid. We could smell it from the reception throughout all the floors until in our room on the 4th floor, although the kitchen is on the 6th floor ! There's definitely something to do with the ventilation of the kitchen. Finally, we didn't understand what happened in the morning. We've been rejected from breakfast along with other customers although we had booked the evening before upon recommendation from the reception. The person told us there were no more seats and since we insisted because we had to catch the first boat, we've been put at the service table. Once inside, we realized there were many free places, even entire tables unoccupied. Weird sense of organization... All in all, to finish on a nice note, our stay was rather good and we really mean weel when we mention the above.

The hot springs are well-regulated. It is said to be effective for arthritis. It doesn't feel embarrassing for a day. It is a hotel dinner. The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Mt. Misen Ropeway station. There is a free shuttle bus station right outside the hotel to go the ropeway station. You can see the Torii throughout the hotel window. At night when the Torii with lights on, the view is stunning! The indoor onsen is not big but it's ok for 10+ people at the same time, the outside onsen is small and can only occupies 4-5ppl. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and thoughtful. I was fully wet after the hiking to Mt. Mismen on the raining day, they helped me to dry all my shoes and coat. Happy to stay at Iwaso and will definitely stay again.
