The standout feature was definitely the room size - it was surprisingly spacious, especially compared to many other hotels we've experienced in Japan. This extra space made our stay much more comfortable and relaxing. The hotel's location is another big plus. It's conveniently situated, making it easy to access many of Hiroshima’s-attractions. We found it to be a great base for exploring the city, with good transportation and tourist bus links from Hiroshima station nearby. The staff were polite and helpful, which added to the pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities met our expectations for a hotel of this caliber. One area where there's room for improvement is the breakfast options. While adequate, we felt the variety could be expanded, especially for guests with dietary restrictions. A wider range of choices would have been appreciated. Despite this minor drawback, we had a very positive experience overall. The combination of the exceptionally spacious rooms and the convenient location made our stay in Hiroshima both comfortable and efficient. We would recommend the Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto to other travelers, particularly those who value room space and a good location.

From the moment I stepped into this strategically located hotel, I knew my stay would be something special. Nestled near the bustling city center, this accommodation strikes the perfect balance between urban accessibility and peaceful retreat. The prime location is undoubtedly one of this hotel's strongest assets. With the vibrant downtown area just steps away, you'll find yourself immersed in the city's energy without sacrificing convenience. The cherry on top? A convenience store right on the first floor, making those late-night snack runs or forgotten essentials a breeze. Inside, the property showcases meticulous attention to cleanliness throughout. What particularly impressed me was the thoughtful bathroom layout – separate toilet and bathing areas, a feature that elevates the entire experience and provides that extra touch of comfort that seasoned travelers will appreciate. My night's sleep was nothing short of blissful – comfortable bedding and a peaceful atmosphere ensured I awoke refreshed and ready for the day ahead. If I were to suggest one improvement, it would be the amenity distribution system. Currently, essentials like toothbrushes must be collected from a distribution area near the second-floor lobby, rather than being pre-placed in the room. This minor inconvenience is the only thing preventing an absolutely perfect score. Despite this small hiccup, my overall stay was exceptional. For travelers seeking convenience, cleanliness, and comfort in the heart of the city, this hotel delivers on all fronts. I departed well-rested and thoroughly satisfied – and isn't that exactly what we're all looking for?

Hotel Granvia is always a good hotel to stay if you want to be near the train station as they are part of the JR Group hotel. The service is excellent as usual and the Japanese service and amenities is very good. Great hotel for holiday.

The hotel is very nice, as it has originally been conceived. Lovely lobby, yukatas at disposal, outside swimming pool, nice onsen with beautiful view by the pool and another onsen with all the facilities and amenities in the hotel. Big and eautifully furbished japanese style rooms. Very nice and professional reception staff, and one person speaking French and English. Yeah !!! This being said, the hotel deserves an in depth cleaning session : carpets on the hallways, outside onsen, furnitures, walls. It looks a bit worn out. Also, during the whole evening there was a strong smell of grilled octopus / squid. We could smell it from the reception throughout all the floors until in our room on the 4th floor, although the kitchen is on the 6th floor ! There's definitely something to do with the ventilation of the kitchen. Finally, we didn't understand what happened in the morning. We've been rejected from breakfast along with other customers although we had booked the evening before upon recommendation from the reception. The person told us there were no more seats and since we insisted because we had to catch the first boat, we've been put at the service table. Once inside, we realized there were many free places, even entire tables unoccupied. Weird sense of organization... All in all, to finish on a nice note, our stay was rather good and we really mean weel when we mention the above.

Ok, this one is difficult to rate. The room comes with a magnificient view on the sea. That's what made me chose that place. But it is remote. So, if you have no car, except walking a good 2km from the train station along a road. There is nothing to eat there. It is a stop/sleep/leave concept of hotel. Once again, if you have no car... you won't walk back the 2km to find something to eat. You sleep on the floor. No surprise here and I slept particularly well so, no complains. Just be aware of that. Toilets, bath, all is shared. Room are old but all ok and one of the biggest space I got during this trip. Furnitures are also old. You may feel like you are staying at grandma place for a while. The building, from the 70's probably, is not sound proof. You may enjoy your neighbor sleep. As I did. I did book for 2. Probably because Trip was not proposing other option or because it was the cheapest one, not sure. The lady at the entrance kept me waiting for 15mn for that reason showing that she was embarrassed to give me the keys for that already paid room. This moment was uncomfortable to say the least. The remote part, the furnitures style, the oldish atmosphere, the old room door still requiring a key and that squeak a little bit... may not please everyone. It comes with its sweet creepy feeling. Not an hotel for everyone. But damn, the view in the morning... splendid.
HOTEL LiVEMAX Hiroshima Funairimachi Riverside

This was my second time staying at the hotel, and it was very clean. The location is a little far from the downtown area, about 20-30 minutes walk away, but the area around the hotel was quiet and nice. Check-in and check-out were done by machine. There was a water dispenser in the lobby on the first floor, so I used it (they didn't have tea or coffee, etc.).

Overall its a good hotel with very good service. Location next to hiroshima station which was very convenient. However, disappointed with buffet dinner. Although hotel guest were offered 25% off. Mainly because of quality and most food offered were cold. For example, the grilled beef was not a slice as in the picture. It came in a small bowl with 2 tiny finger size beef which was cold. You know what happens when you put cold fat beef in your mouth! The buffet breakfast was unsatisfactory either. Sam kind of salad as dinner. For me i am a very simple person. Let me have my bacon and eggs, toast and coffee, i would be very satisfied. Unfortunately, it was not so! The eggs were fried in a bowl (cold as usual ) and there was something between ham and bacon but not everyday. Again most of the food were cold! Imagine a cold winter day of 1 degree celcius outside. And having to eat food that were not even warm! I would very much like to stay there again but would not eat there. Finally, i provided my credit card for check in so that any charges incurred could be deducted. But do not understand why they wanted me to pay for the buffet dinner first? Even though i had given them my room number? I obviously have no problem paying for anything!

We had a fantastic stay here while exploring the beautiful city of Hiroshima. The check-in process was smooth and effortless. The hotel's location is very convenient, offering easy access to popular city attractions. Our room was comfortable and provided a stunning view of the city. A unique touch was being given coins to buy drinks or desserts at the bar on the 14th floor. We highly recommend The Knot Hiroshima for its excellent service, great amenities, and perfect location!

This hotel proved to be an excellent choice, primarily due to its prime location and thoughtful amenities. The complimentary bottled water provided in the room was a welcome touch that added to our comfort during the stay. What particularly impressed me was their efficient Express Checkout system. This convenient feature allows guests to simply leave their room cards and depart without the usual front desk procedures – a time-saving solution that I believe should become an industry standard. In our increasingly fast-paced world, such streamlined processes make a significant difference in the overall guest experience. This modern approach to hotel operations clearly demonstrates the property's commitment to guest convenience and satisfaction.
Sotetsu Fresa Inn Hiroshima

It was our first time staying at this hotel and we were very satisfied with it. It is strategically located near the JR Hiroshima station, just a 5min walk from the nearest exit. The hotel is also very near the street car station (just behind the hotel) which we used it to get to many places in hiroshima easily. There are many malls within the vicinity, with a big Edion mall just opposite the hotel and big camera just about less than 5mins walk away. There's also a Lawson just right downstairs so that you can get any snacks or drinks easily. The room is very clean and isn't very small as expected. We were able to open up our 24inch luggage easily. You can also store your luggage under the bed. The amenities are free for everyone at the reception counter. You'll have to collect it yourself so we collected our 3days supply so we don't have to keep going to reception floor to get it. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay and will definitely stay here again if we visit Hiroshima in future.
