The hotel is very modern and is in great condition. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are spacious by Japan standards. The design is clean and very contemporary. Just around the corner from the walking street and new shopping mall and bus station. A few stations from the main train station on the tram. Highly recommended.

Check-in is on upper floor , at checkin floor you can pick up shower caps, tooth brush and other items you need by self serve The hotel is located within the mall which is quite convenient overall. The only two areas less convenient is finding the entrance when (1)we checked in late in evening and the mall entrance was closed, we found the outskirt entrance but singages were not so clear and (2) parking was not so easy to find and had to roll luggages over a distance, parker is available at own expense at mall outdoor parking lots and hotel has connection to an indoor car park at similar price

The hotel is near the shopping streets.It's convenience for us to buy everything, includes the souvenirs and daily use.The grilling meat shops are covered all the street.Over 3 parking lots are nearby the hotel as well.Furthermore, many delicious Japanese food shops for choosing.The hotel also provides free water spa and sauna on the top floor which runs near 20hrs daily.The 3-persons bedrooms are clean and large, it has enough space for family to take a nap.Come again next time.

Great value for what we have paid for. Efficient check-in process. High quality public bath facilities with two hot hot springs (one indoor and one outdoor), one sauna and one cold water pool. Although this hotel is listed as a 3-star hotel, we would say it is much better than many 4-star hotels in many regards. The employees at the check-in desk speak decent English too.

Hotel is 5 tram stops away from Kumamoto station, red line. Shopping street is conveniently located, just a few minutes walk away, with many stores and eateries..There was a big Christmas market just in front of the shopping street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and have all amenities needed. They have coin operated washer cum dryer on 3rd floor, 600 yen. Nice hotel for a short stay.

Excellent location right next to Kumamoto train station, which allowed us to easily travel on both the Shinkansen and local trams to go all over Kumamoto. Hotel room was nice and clean and staff were very helpful and friendly!

Most important thing to know about this hotel is that THERE IS NO BATHROOM IN THE ROOMS!! IF you do not intend to shower / bathe in the public bath, then you will have to have a simple wipe down and the only thing in the room is a toilet bowl (with bidet). The location is pretty remote but because of the remote location you have a great view. All rooms facing the back of the hotel get a great view of the mountains behind. Parking is free! After going to the Onsen, you get free Ramen as well and the ramen changes daily. I noticed there were many Japanese families having a great time in the hotel when I was there. It is also equiped with a karaoke room, ping pong tables, massage chairs. If you are not comfortable going to public baths, please find another property.

Perfect location. Next to the bus terminal. Close to the business district so have good access to food and shipping. But parking fee is a bit expensive. It was said to be 1000 Yen but I was charged 1100 and 1400 Yen respectively.

the hotel is located just next to the asso station, very convenient for visistors there is no restaurants inside the hotel, but we can buy food from the market near the station and reheat / eat at the pantry of the hotel, which is a very comfortable place for eating another good thing is that there is a public onsen nearby (3 mins walk), a nice experience! also parking / renting cars is so convenient too (toyota rent a car shop is just few meters away from the hotel)

An old hot spring hotel! Experience the Japanese tatami room. When I entered the room, I saw some hair on the made bed. I reported it to the front desk and they cleaned and tidied it up quickly! Breakfast options are varied!

Located in the resort area, suitable for self-drive personnel, and zoo, Aso volcano is very close, there is a large free parking lot for parking,, I ordered a one-night 2-eat, dinner, are buffet, dinner highlight is all-you-can-eat matsutake crab legs , all you can drink different sake, the others are the usual Japanese buffet. Nothing special. Breakfast was also no highlight, but there was daylight at breakfast, being able to look at the outside view against the large glass window was relaxing.

The service attitude of the counter staff was good, and the accommodation rules were clearly explained. The public bathhouse on the first floor is well-equipped. There was a little girl crawling in the outdoor female public pool on the top floor, so I didn't go there. There are many types of breakfast, and there is unlimited supply of Aso milk. You can eat a lot. full. It is recommended to live in a high-rise building, so you can see the beautiful scenery of Mount Aso outside the window in the morning.

Breakfast and dinner are both provided by the hotel. Dinner is served in a separate room, and breakfast is served in another public room. There is a unique menu for dinner, with staff introducing each dish. There happened to be a few people who knew Chinese when I checked in. The staff introduced it, the dishes were rich, and I was very satisfied. When you have a meal, the staff will go into the room and lay out tatami mattresses. There are no private hot spring baths, there are open-air public baths. There are only two independent indoor hot spring baths for the use of the entire hotel. There are two keys during the period. After the guests return the keys, they can then take them out and use the independent private baths. Fengli, unfortunately there is no reservation service, so I don’t know when other guests will return their keys. 

We originally booked a small double room, but upon arrival the front desk staff upgraded us to a large room for free, which we were very grateful for. The hotel's dinner is a barbecue buffet with a lot of meat and wine choices, but it is a bit smoky and could be improved. We recommend that hotels provide pick-up service from Aso Station

The rooms are comfortable and the four hot springs that can be used as family baths are all excellent. Dinner is very delicious, made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. Breakfast was also healthy, delicious, and plentiful. My parents highly praised both dinner and breakfast. Also, the staff welcomed us with bright and lively energy, making us feel very happy during our stay. The onigiri served for lunch was also delicious. If I go to Mt. Aso again, I will visit again. Thank you for the precious memories I had with my parents.

The dinner food is very rich and fresh, the breakfast is as delicious, there is Asu Shrine nearby, and the private hot spring is very enjoyable. Definitely come again next time.

Very pleasant impressions from staying in this place. Spacious and clean rooms in a traditional style with a view of the river. Very tasty dinner and breakfast (you can choose Western). Family baths are not very big, it is comfortable for two people, if there are three or four of you - it will be cramped. From the ryokan we were driven by car to the bus stop, which was very convenient considering our heavy suitcases.

Kurokawa Onsen is a hot spring town near Aso. It has many hot spring hotels and some of them have a long history. Relatively speaking, the hot spring facilities are also a bit old. I was a little worried about this trip, but after arriving, Kurokawa Ryokan Kurokawaso made me very satisfied in all aspects. Ctrip's customer service was very considerate and helped me make an appointment for the hotel pick-up. You should know that the hotel is a bit far from the center of the town and the station, especially if you are carrying two large suitcases. We went on a family trip and stayed at Dream Dragon on the coldest day during the Spring Festival. I stayed here once more than 5 years ago and was very impressed. It is a pure Japanese style, and the dinner and breakfast are so rich that you can't help but lean on the wall. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and quiet, and the water quality of the hot spring is excellent, but remember to bring towels from the room, there are no towels in the hot spring. The snacks are delicious. The puffs and coffee shops in Kurokawa Town are very good. There are century-old shops everywhere. It is a quaint place.

It is located in a quiet countryside, making it a great place to relax. The facilities are old, but well-maintained, and there are several hot springs, so if your goal is hot springs, you will be very satisfied.

The location is very good, it is very convenient to go to Aso Volcano in the morning! There are plenty of parking spaces, which is very good for self-driving tours. Excellent service by the staffs! Very warm and welcoming. It was raining heavily that day, but one of the staff helped to wipe down our luggage when it wasn't necessary and helped to bring it up to the room as we were too early for check-in. When we came back, the luggages were near a heater for quick drying... just a neat detail that we very much appreciated. The dinner and breakfast were one of our most delicious and memorable meals in Japan. Words are not enough to describe it! The outdoor hot spring doesn't have much a view, but it was still nice! Hope I am able to come back and enjoy the ryokan experience again!

Lonely Paradise! This is not many hotels around that offer single rates. None of the reviews is for the single and double price difference. There is no shuttle service. The guests who come are basically self-driving, and take a taxi to the bus station for 1,100 yen. The perfect mix and match of Japanese style, the quality is hidden in the details, everything from faucets to bedding, and I want to move home. What makes people in Japan unbelievable is the abuse of disposable chopsticks, even the famous Michelin Sanxing Junoi. You can spend two meals without using heavy bamboo chopsticks, especially for dinner. The fine grip is perfect, and you have the urge to take away. You must order two meals. On this morning's hike, the one kilometer country road is only This hotel has nothing. By the way, Ctrip's name is wrong. It's Huaxin instead of Huaxin. The word of mind can go a long way. The quality of the food is high, the amount of refinement is small, and it is full. Comfortable, the room has private soup, but it's too hot. A very satisfying stay! The design of the cabin is stunning. The two-story independent cabin allows children to climb up and down as much as they like. The owner of the B&B is very enthusiastic. Even if he doesn't understand the language, he tries his best to use translation software to introduce Kurokawa Onsen's attractions and B&B facilities. It really makes people feel like returning to their hometown. Kurokawa is very quiet at night, and you can really enjoy the tranquility and leisure of the deep mountain hot springs. The cabin is fully equipped and can be used for simple cooking. I cooked Japanese sukiyaki pot with the children in the cabin, which was very satisfying! The outdoor hot spring in the B&B is another amazing place. Because it was summer, we didn’t make a reservation for the hot spring. The owner of the B&B enthusiastically invited us to enjoy it (unexpectedly). Unexpectedly, it turned out to be an independent open-air hot spring. I highly recommend making a reservation. It’s too Feel comfortable! The next day, the children were very reluctant to say goodbye to the owner of the B&B and the owner's dog. Along the way, they still missed the comfortable bed (actually just a tatami sleeping mat) in the B&B. I will definitely visit again next time I have the opportunity!
