Our eight-day, seven-night stay at this hotel was an absolute dream from start to finish. We were thrilled with the stunning ocean view from our room, which was the first thing we admired every morning. The incredible hospitality began with a complimentary airport pickup and drop-off, making our travel completely seamless. A lovely surprise was the complimentary drinks and cake, which made us feel so welcomed. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, beautifully new, and has a fantastic modern ambiance. Waking up to that breathtaking vista each day was truly unforgettable.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was impressed by the stunning sea views. The reception team was friendly and made an effort to be helpful, although there were a few areas where they could improve. The hotel's scenic surroundings and beachfront location were definite highlights. However, I found that 2-3 nights was sufficient to experience the area, and I would recommend exploring other districts in Sanya to get a fuller picture of what the city has to offer.

We were very pleased with the hotel staff. The front desk was very helpful - we could not use the vending machine because of our lack of a China mobile number. We asked the reception to help and they gladly obliged.
In addition, we asked for additional pillows which they dutifully provided.

The hotel is pretty but not really convenient to stay. It’s easy to find though it is behind car washing stations. It’s located near an airport, so it’s quite noisy. Swimming pools are not big, suitable for kids and taking pictures. The huge disadvantage is that the doors of the rooms can’t be sealed properly, there’s even a gap, so you can hear what’s happening outside very well. Taking a shower also was challenging, shower head tended to go down or fall off all the time, maybe it’s just my room problem. The price is too high… we traveled during ***** New Year, probably it costs cheaper on regular dates. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Hotel ini terletak di ujung/awal jalan Qilou yang terkenal (Anda tidak bisa masuk ke jalan ini dengan mobil, hanya bisa menurunkan penumpang di ujung jalan), yang sangat bagus karena saya tidak perlu berjalan kaki terlalu jauh! Saya sampai di hotel pukul 9 pagi dan kamar belum siap, tetapi stafnya sangat ramah dan memberi kami upgrade gratis ke kamar SMART karena kamar kami sudah siap, dan karena mereka ingin kami beristirahat setelah penerbangan semalaman! Staf juga mengingat kami dan menyapa kami setiap pagi/malam! Mereka juga mengisi ulang perlengkapan mandi setiap hari, yang sangat bagus untuk hotel/hostel dengan harga terjangkau! Kamarnya juga sangat bersih, kasurnya empuk dan nyaman! Saya bertanya tentang waktu check-out, mereka sangat fleksibel dan memberi kami waktu hingga pukul 2 siang! Saya rasa itulah kelebihan hotel/hostel kecil? Saya akan menginap di sini lagi!

BBarbora L.A major downside was that even at 9:30 in the morning, towels were not prepared at the pool, and we had to wait quite a long time for them.
Also, be aware that the beach does not have sufficient capacity of sunbeds or towels, so it’s better to bring one from the hotel.
It would be nice if the staff, both at the pool and in the restaurant, had a more polished and consistent grooming standard. Some of the uniforms looked worn out, with faded T-shirts.
On the positive side, the hotel is continuously maintained, which is a plus. It is a nice hotel with good kids’ activities, although it is worth mentioning that it is starting to show some signs of wear.
Another advantage is the variety of shopping and dining options around the hotel.
A trip to Yalong Tropical Paradise Forest Park is just a few minutes away and definitely worth visiting.
For English-speaking guests, Sophie was a great help. She checked in with us several times during our stay to make sure everything was fine, and she was very kind and helpful. However, the rest of the staff mostly speak only Russian and Chinese.
This is also reflected in the breakfast area, where many of the dishes are labeled only in Russian and Chinese. An English translation would be highly appreciated.

The service provided by staff is also excellent, and for us as foreigners it was nice lot of staff in the hotel spoke English.

TTulippinoHotel feels very old fashioned style and service attitude wasn’t so nice. At 3 room wasn’t ready and no one even apologised and even didn’t offer us water. We got the room only at 4:00 and it was very disappointing just opposite the elevator, despite the fact that we asked room away from elevator in advance. They tried to change us another room but also opposite the elevator. Finally manager helped us to solve this issue and offered us better room in better condition and with beautiful view. Hotel area and swimming pool is good and pleasant, but for this money you can get much better conditions in new modern hotel.

EE.DeI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the ocean. The food was tasty with lots of options, and the hotel itself felt very comfortable and welcoming.
I want to give a special thanks to the room attendant, Xi Qiang. He was so kind and attentive, always keeping my room clean and cozy. His friendly service truly made me feel at home.
Overall, this hotel has everything you need – great location, good food, a nice atmosphere, and wonderful staff. I would be happy to come back again and highly recommend it to others.

TTamuThe Banyan Tree Resort Sanya in my personal opinion one of the best holiday resorts I have ever experienced It was absolutely perfect, the resort environment was amazing and the attention to detail was beyond 5 stars. The staff at the hotel were all able to speak in english to me and made my visit very convenient. The front office manager Iris was not only extremely friendly but also absolutely amazing in accommodating everything I asked for in a very prompt and professional manner.
The private beach at the resort was amazing with very calm and clean waters making relaxing at this resort devine, the facilities at this resort are immaculate , everything from the restaurant, corridors to perfectly stocked souvenir shop was amazing.
The resort is located a 10 minute taxi to the local town we enjoyed water activities such as surfing and diving we participated in and a selection of restaurants for all pallets however the restaurant at the hotel was delicious with a range of western and Chinese food. We choose the wagu burger and pizza and the food tasted exactly as we get back home.
I Fully recommend the Banyan Tree Resort Sanya to any westerners looking for a premium resort in Chinas paradise island.

CClockwiseThe hotel itself is not bad, but as we were there on a family vaccination (with kids), I can say that the hotel rooms aren't clean enough, especially the bathrooms. We stayed there for 9 nights but they didn't change our bedding even once, even though I'd exclusively request since we had kids. The kids room, headboard and table were in really bad condition, all peeled up and stained.
The hotel doesn't really offer much except the pools (no rides or fun activities,had to go to other resorts).
Oh, and there is a travel photography they offer, they say 5 free photos and pay the extra photos, well when it comes to the extra photos they will rip you off (pay thousands for photos).
