Hotel Dengan parkir di Otago, Selandia Baru

Saya menginap 3 malam di Copthorne Hotel and Resort. Kamarnya bersih dan sederhana, tempat tidurnya nyaman, saya tidur nyenyak. Kamarnya terlalu besar, bahkan memiliki area tempat duduk yang bagus, kopi dan teh di dalam kamar. TV-nya beragam, tetapi kamar mandinya tidak terlalu bagus. Great location to base yourself for a few days of seeing Queenstown. (It really is that close.) Nice and friendly staff at check in and throughout. Most helpful. Ents included TV, books, games, couple of guitars, ocassional theme evenings. Couple of outdoor spaces. Bathrooms are fine although if fairly or more than fairly tall, the shower heads are surprisingly low down. I understand the difficulties with this given the time of year but a floor by floor deep clean is probably needed. Whilst I am no member of the fun police, having numerous notes across the place emphasising the need to keep noise down after 10pm, I can see why this might be a bit galling when the staff who live there alongside guests do not abide by this - especially when you have no idea who is a worker who is off duty. Might be impossible given temperatures, but it wasn't ideal to climb into my bunk in the pitch black (other than the light from my phone) and find a cat sleeping there (honestly!) I like a cat but if I hadn't had my phone lit, I would never have known and would have landed forcefully on it. I actually found it quite funny but a lot wouldn't. All hell could have broken loose if I had landed on it. (Amusingly and no joke, I was watching Don't F*** with Cats at the time and had paused it while I climbed in. Perhaps it was written...) Anyway, really nice spot and right for the price. Cheers!

The ambiance of this place was quite unique, with dim lighting and not many electric lights, which gave it a rustic charm. One of the highlights was the ability to cook meals, which added a nice touch of convenience. Plus, there are plenty of shops nearby where you can easily pick up groceries or essentials.

We chose this hotel because we expected to enjoy its winery/food. Otherwise, we should have stayed in Queenstown with a lot of restaurants and pubs. As we would arrive in the early evening, we put a note for our hope for experiencing their winery and food (or at least finger foods) when we booked the hotel, and received email that they cannot guarantee but will do their best to serve our need. Since then, no email was sent to us. When we arrived at the hotel around 6 pm, no one was in the information desk, so we had to go to the bistro to find out that they left the key in a safe box without any notice or sending us any email with its password. We had to wait a while for the bistro lady to make a phone call to whom it concerns, which was okay. Worse, we heard that their bistro was reserved for a group event so we could not use the facility at all. We had to drive 15 minutes to a nearby town and bought foods from a supermarket. I think the hotel should have notified us of impossibility of using their bistro/food service due to the group event and we have to prepare for our food. As I checked out, I left a note about the issues, and expected they would send me an email to express their sincere apology. Unfortunately nothing happened so far. Although I liked the room as well as the whole place very much, I think Kinross cottage needs professionalism to run their stay program. It could have been much nicer, memorable stay experience.

The view from our room was amazing. However, there was a beam in the room that obstructed the perfect shot, which made the pictures look annoying. The bed was quite dusty, with dust particles visible on the white linens. Additionally, the room was very small, and the online photos were misleading. The toilet was not clean, the room service only replaced the bath towels on the second day and did not perform basic dusting or vacuuming, which is expected in a hotel setting, not an Airbnb. Overall, the view was the only aspect that made our stay enjoyable.
