Hotel Dengan parkir di Daerah Ibu Kota Brussel, Belgia

Menginap dengan baik di a&o Brussels (dulunya Hotel President). Proses check-in lancar dan cepat, yang selalu saya hargai setelah perjalanan panjang. Saya sangat menghargai opsi check-out terlambat hingga pukul 2 siang dengan biaya hanya €14, yang sangat praktis dan bebas repot. Di sisi lain, sedikit mengecewakan dengan kopinya: bar tutup pada siang hari, dan satu-satunya mesin kopi yang tersedia, yang terletak di bagian resepsionis, kehabisan biji kopi... Sayang sekali untuk istirahat sejenak. Untungnya, ada minimarket kecil di dalam area hotel yang memudahkan untuk mendapatkan perlengkapan, yang merupakan nilai tambah yang nyata. Secara keseluruhan, harganya sepadan dengan kualitasnya, dengan layanan dasar yang efisien, tetapi ada beberapa hal yang perlu ditingkatkan untuk pengalaman yang lebih lengkap.

I prefered this hotel as it is close to the EU institutions. However, there are better hotels on other parts of the city. In booking, I didn't select the breakfast as I confused. When I arrived the hotel, they told me to include breakfast for 29$ per day, which was expensive. When booking, I read that there would be drinking water as complementary but there was only empty bottles and it should be filled in from a machine next to the elevators. Lastly, the room was noisy because windows are not noise dampening. The furniture was also outdated.

Lokasi hotel ini sungguh strategis, hanya beberapa langkah saja sudah sampai ke Manneken Pis. Supermarket di depan hotel juga menjual air dengan harga yang sangat murah. Mungkin karena harga kamarnya terjangkau, hotel ini sangat ramai, sepertinya setiap hari selalu penuh (full booked). Meja resepsionisnya pun, setiap kali saya lewat, selalu ada antrean panjang. Sarapannya juga sangat ramai, seperti restoran langganan tur grup. Sebenarnya, hotel ini tidak memiliki tempat parkir sendiri, melainkan tempat parkir umum. Tempat parkir ini berupa gedung dan persis di seberang pintu belakang hotel. Jalan serta tikungannya sangat-sangat sempit, hanya bisa dilewati mobil kecil. Saya parkir dua hari dengan biaya 32 Euro, lumayan lah.

The location is convenient, right next to a metro station, a mall, and a busy shopping street, definitely a plus. However, it’s about a 20-minute walk to the central tourist area, and going back and forth can get a bit tiring after a long day of sightseeing. The room size is average, not too small, but with two open suitcases it felt a bit tight. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern, though I personally dislike the half-glass shower door design that makes the floor wet (same issue here). The building and carpets felt a bit old and worn, but the room itself was clean. Breakfast wasn’t the best but good enough, and I especially liked the fresh orange juice machine. Staff experience was mixed, some were friendly and smiling, while others were quite cold. One disappointing part was when we asked about a late check-out; the answer was an immediate “no” without even checking availability, which felt unfriendly given the hotel didn’t seem busy.

We arrived at the hotel quite late at night, so we had to ring the doorbell at the entrance. A friendly staff member promptly came to assist us and helped us with the check-in process. Once we got to the room, we were pleasantly surprised — the room was very spacious, and the bathroom was equally large. The hot water was excellent, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool and comfortable. One of the highlights was the beautiful view from the room — we had a clear view of Brussels Central Station, which was especially charming at night. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The room, the facilities, and the service all exceeded our expectations.

Here are some details that the hotel could manage better: 1. Water pressure not strong enough 2. Only 4 hanger hooks on the bathroom door, not enough and far to get the clothes after shower. 3. Artist decor shelves look cool, but not practical for travellers. We need a work desk instead. The tea table is too small for two people to dine, and not even great for doing work. Socket is far, and you will need a 2-3m cable to connect your it to your laptop in the sofa area. 4. Check in process took an hour to be done, but there is no chair for the check-in costumer. The city tax was mistakenly collected. When I showed the prepaid proof, I was asked to send an email to the company to ask for file an investigation. Later in 15mins, I got immediately refund after I asked of if I should contact my travel agent. The room keycard failed to access the first room. It took the receptionists to figure out the solution and I got a new card for another room in 15mins. The efficiency was very low and not smooth at all. 5. We went back to the room after feeling cold stepping out of the hotel around 10am. Later found out two housekeepers started to vacuum the floor and clear the bathroom. We wanted to change our clothes and use the toilet, but they don’t understand. The lady went in and out the bathroom showing impatience and long face. We felt disrupting their work, and we could only get changed in front of the housekeepers in the living room and excuse the lady to let us use the toilet. 6. I once swam in a pool with more than 20 people. It was super crowded. What’s the point of making appointment of using the pool? Besides of the aforementioned, there are still something I like. + There are not many hotels offer pool in Brussels. This hotel has a cool pool on the rooftop with sun baths on each side, and wonderful city view in the both sides of terrace. The pool design is great. + Check in place is in the 2nd floor, bigger than in the lobby of the building. The bar, waiting area and 4 check-in desks are connected in the same area. +Quick lift - It will bring you directly to the floor you press for +The basic room is very spacious and cosy. I enjoyed my stay here. Very quiet all day.

Lokasi dan kebersihan hotel ini bagus. Hanya berjarak 10 menit berjalan kaki dari pusat kota. Kamar-kamarnya bersih dan dilengkapi dengan baik. Namun ada masalah besar bagi pelancong internasional. Saya tidak tahu apakah karena lantai saya ada di lantai paling atas. Wi-Fi tidak berfungsi sama sekali. Sinyal penuh masih terputus. Itu masalah besar.

En visite à Bruxelles pour un concert au cirque Royal nous avions trouvé cet hôtel au bon rapport qualité-prix. Transports en commun à proximité pour rejoindre le centre ou même à pied. Parking hôtel disponible. Personnel sympathique, on reviendra.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is perfect — just a short walk from Brussels-Central Station, which made it incredibly easy for us to reach the hotel upon arrival. It’s also the ideal base for day trips to cities like Bruges and Ghent since the trains depart directly from the same station. The hotel staff were genuinely friendly, warm, and very helpful throughout our stay. Our room was extremely comfortable and well-equipped, with plenty of power outlets — a small but very important detail for travelers who spend most of the day exploring and need to charge phones, cameras, and powerbanks. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, there was plenty of space for our belongings, and the bathroom was excellent, with enough room for all our skincare and personal items. Housekeeping also did a great job keeping everything clean. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. At first, I thought it was a bit expensive, but everything was fresh, delicious, and there were so many options that it definitely felt worth the price. The hotel was so good that I genuinely didn’t want to leave Brussels — two days were not enough. I truly hope I can come back again one day.
