There is an abundance of food as well in the tourist centre, but bring some snacks for the road!

At the upstream of Rize Valley is where Jianzhuhai (Arrow Bamboo Lake) is. This is one of those larger lakes found in Jiuzhaigou National Park. Notable features and highlights of Jianzhuhai scenic area are elaborated as below. It is shallow at the upstream but deep downstream. One could see waters from light blue in the shallows, and different shades of turquoise to darker greens at deeper spots. There are many different types of vegetation found in the shallow upstream, mainly of grassy appearances. The waters here also have aquatic plants. Red roots of unknown plants can be vividly seen in the shallows. There are two walkways, one is outside beside the main road, while the other is inside by the foothill. From beside the main road, a series of mountains form the western barrier of the valley, and these mountains are especially scenic together with the lake. Most of these mountains are forested especially nearer to the water edges, with bare surfaces seen nearer to the peaks and steep slopes. The lake is often frequented by wild ducks. Sighting of wild ducks here by me was once per visit out of 2 visits. They were seen between the shallow and the deep transition area. The walkway beside the main road which is along the eastern edge of the lake, is about 700 m long, and there is enough space for everyone to find more than a spot to take photos. Not to forget the walkway by the foothill along western edge of the lake. So plenty of photo shoot opportunities here. To get here, take a sightseeing bus and get down at Jianzhuhai (upstream) bus stop (can only get down). From here walk downstream along the lake until Jianzhuhai (downstream) bus stop. One may choose to board a sightseeing bus here to transfer to other scenic area, or walk further downstream into the next scenic area. Further downstream from the Jianzhuhai (downstream) bus stop is a stretch of dainty waterfalls, signaling the border between Jianzhuhai scenic area (upstream) and Panda Lake scenic area (downstream). Jiuzhaigou is so beautiful that I want to post it on every social media platform|||I went to the valley on the 4th, and there were 20,000 people in the park. There were not many people at each attraction, so I had a relaxing time and almost no super male old Deng. I was assigned to the right line when I got on the bus, so I started playing at Arrow Bamboo Lake. It was already the third day of my trip, and I was super tired, so I reluctantly gave up the left line (but the fresh snow scenery on the left line was super beautiful, and I regretted it!!). Every lake was particularly amazing. I originally wanted to hike the Reed Lake section, but I was too tired to walk, so I chose to go back to the Bonsai Beach to see the viewing platform. The viewing platform at Shuzheng Village was amazing! Although I was exhausted climbing up, it was worth it the moment I got up there!!! I was too tired to go into the village, so I just walked around the whole time. By the way, the food street was very comprehensive, and I was very satisfied.

In the narrow mountain valleys, over 100 colorful and mirror-clear lakes are scattered, connected by springs, waterfalls, rivers, and shoals, forming countless crystal-clear blue lakes. The diverse and picturesque scenery is a paradise that many people yearn for. Among the many landscapes in Jiuzhaigou, the water scenery is particularly stunning. Hundreds of crystal-clear and colorful lakes, combined with snow peaks, the azure sky, and the beauty of the changing seasons, give Jiuzhaigou the reputation of 'seeing no other mountains after returning from Huangshan, and seeing no other water after returning from Jiuzhaigou,' and the title of 'King of Chinese Water Scenery.'

Compared to the natural landscapes of Jiuzhaigou, the changes in Jiuzhaigou under different weather conditions are even more breathtaking. In spring, Jiuzhaigou is like a child, changing its appearance in the blink of an eye. When we arrived at Chang Sea, the rain had stopped, and the clouds and mist began to dissipate, with the blue sky faintly visible behind the clouds. Chang Sea is the longest 'sea' in Jiuzhaigou, with jade-like turquoise water. The lake surface is as calm as a mirror, and a light breeze creates a glittering effect on the water. Strolling along the plank walkway to the Five-Color Pond, it's no wonder that this is one of the most famous 'seas' in Jiuzhaigou. The lake water shows a variety of colors, like a moving natural oil painting. The water is so clear that you can see to the bottom, and under the sunlight, it refracts a charming brilliance. Next, we took the scenic area bus to the Arrow Bamboo Sea and Arrow Bamboo Sea Waterfall. The clear lake water reflects the inverted image of the surrounding snow-capped mountains, with dense arrow bamboo forests on the side, undulating like waves, a sight too beautiful to describe. The water flow of the Arrow Bamboo Sea Waterfall is rapid, forming a spectacular waterfall landscape. The splashing droplets of the waterfall refract light in the sunlight, cascading straight down from the cliff.

Visiting Jiuzhaigou in May really seems like an ideal time. The scenery during this period is truly remarkable, giving me a sense of awe at first sight. Among them, the landscape of Arrow Bamboo Lake has left an especially deep impression on me.

High-speed train: Chengdu East Station - Zhenjiangguan Bus tickets from Zhenjiangguan Station to the scenic area can be purchased in advance on the platform, and the journey takes about 3 hours (night road). The bus ride is a bit tiring, but the beautiful scenery makes it all worthwhile! Hotel: My friend and I stayed at a hotel close to the scenic area, about a 10min walk to the scenic area, with lots of delicious food nearby! 【Exploring Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area🏞️】 Due to the high-speed train schedule, we only had about 5 hours to explore the scenic area. If you have more time, it's definitely worth spending an extra day for a deeper experience in Jiuzhaigou! Exploration route: Arrow Bamboo Lake - Panda Lake - Five Flower Lake - Pearl Shoal Waterfall - Long Lake - Five-Colored Pond - Sparkling Lake - Shuanglong Lake Due to the tight schedule, we had to skip some spots, but you can still get a glimpse of them by taking the scenic area bus. It's a pity we couldn't explore Shuzheng Lakes and Reed Lake in depth, but there will be a next time! Suggestion: Bring glucose drinks or snacks to replenish energy. You'll need to walk a lot in the scenic area, and only the Nuorilang Service Station offers food. If you're short on time, you might not have time for a meal. 【Exploring Chengdu📝】 The most recommended spot is Heming Teahouse, where the 'Bitan Snow' tea is delicious! You can really experience the slow life of Chengdu there, it's super healing! If you want a riverside seat, it's best to go early. The Panda Base Visitor Center offers free luggage storage, and where there are crowds, there will be pandas🐼. It's recommended to visit in the morning.
