The Jade Emperor Temple is located in Fucheng Village, Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, so it is also known as Fucheng Jade Emperor Temple. It is the largest and most influential Taoist temple in ancient Zezhou. The current building was rebuilt on the original site in 1076 and was named the Jade Emperor Palace. In recent years, it has been renamed the Jade Emperor Temple Colored Sculpture and Mural Museum~ 👣: As soon as you enter the mountain gate of the Jade Emperor Temple, you will feel that it is a very distinctive group of buildings: the mountain gate has a central gate and two side gates to the east and west; in the center is a reverse-facing stage, with pavilions on both sides; the three buildings are connected by side rooms, with varying heights, creating an impressive momentum. 🌈: The main hall of the Jade Emperor Temple is an original structure from the Song Dynasty, with colored sculptures led by the Jade Emperor. However, the most distinctive feature is the twenty-eight constellation statues located in the western corridor of the Jade Emperor Temple, sculpted by Yuan Dynasty sculptor Liu Luan. These statues transform the twenty-eight constellations, originally used for observing celestial phenomena in ancient times, into twenty-eight figures. They are relics from the Yuan Dynasty, but unfortunately, only 23 statues remain today. The colored sculptures are very vivid, representing the achievements of ancient Chinese sculpture art, and are known as "the only ones in the nine provinces, unparalleled in the country."
