3D2N at Kiln Lake Town: A Guide for You

Kiln Lake Town became a hit after being featured on the Spring Festival Gala. We avoided the peak season during the Spring Festival and stayed there for 3D2N with our family. It was a great experience, so I wrote this guide for your reference. ✴️ Day 1 We set off from Wuxi and spent about 2 hours on the road. We drove directly to the entrance of Kiln Lake Hotel. We told the security guard that we were staying at Kiln Lake Hotel, and there was a vacant parking space right at the entrance. There were still a lot of people, and we had to queue up to check in. There is a map on the shelf to the left of the hotel front desk, which you can take for reference. There is hot tea on the right, with two flavors to choose from: goji berry and ginger tea. The whole trip was a relaxing vacation, so we took a break after checking in and let the kids watch Paw Patrol. The hotel TV has a lot of resources. The room is large, the bed is large, and it is very comfortable to sleep in. As it is a new hotel, the facilities and decoration are new, and there is no smell. This is the best time to stay. ⛲ There is no shuttle bus from the hotel to the Dragon Water Show. It takes about 20 minutes to walk there, so you can set off early and take a stroll along the way. You may even come across a performance. The performance schedule is available on the mini program and in the hotel lobby, so you can check it in advance. ✨ It is recommended to visit on Friday and Saturday, as there is a fireworks show and more performances. The Dragon Water Show + Fireworks Show is highly recommended! We visited on Friday and Saturday. We were late for the first show on the first day, so we watched the fountain + fireworks show from the side. It was beautiful. The second time, we went to the right viewing platform and were really amazed. It is recommended to watch a fountain + fireworks show at 18:50–19:10, then go to Shehuo Square to watch "A Thousand Years of Kiln Fire", which includes Nuo dance, fire dance, and fire pot performances. After that, you can watch the second fountain + fireworks show. We watched the fountain + fireworks show four times in two days, and it was never enough! 🏮 The whole town lights up at night, which is a different experience. ✴️ Day 2 Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 10:00. You should go early, as the restaurant is large but there are a lot of people. There is a wide variety of food, and the pan-fried dumplings, braised pork with preserved vegetables, tofu pudding, and croissants are all delicious. The noodle stall only has noodles and vermicelli, and you can choose your own vegetables. The coffee machine is also popular, but there is a waiter who is always there to add beans and water, and they are very fast. After breakfast, we went back to the hotel to rest, changed into swimsuits, and set off for Bamboo Rat Hot Wave Park. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the visitor center, and Bamboo Rat Hot Wave Park is 70 m away. It is quite warm inside. It was 1°C outside when we visited, but it was not cold at all inside the park. The water temperature is 39°C, which is very comfortable. There is a wave pool, a pool for children with many slides, and a pool for adults, which is not deep, about 1.5 m. It was included in our hotel package, and it is not necessary to buy it separately. You need to rent a locker, which costs CNY 30 each. It is free during the Spring Festival, and you only need to pay a deposit of CNY 50 each. You can bring your own swimming ring, and you can borrow an inflator from the swimsuit store next door. The showers, shower gel, and shampoo in the park are all good, but there is no body lotion. After swimming, we went back to the hotel to put our things away and took the small train, the Pure Oxygen Homecoming Line. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the Convention and Exhibition Center Station. Although this line takes 25 minutes, 5 minutes longer than the other line, it is surrounded by woods and tea gardens, which are not as beautiful as the other line. After getting off the small train, we went to have dinner. There are many options. 🍜 Dinner options: Wuse Yibang: CNY 80 per person There are several hotel restaurants with different levels: CNY 150–300+ per person Kiln Lake Market: There are group-buying deals, but it is remote Hong Kong-style tea restaurant: CNY 50 per person There are many snack bars in the scenic area, and the price list is posted at the entrance. Price reference: Braised pork with preserved vegetables pancake: CNY 8, sesame and sugar pancake: CNY 6 (delicious when hot, but there is a queue) Steamed cake: CNY 3 (queue) Beef noodles: CNY 30 Pickled vegetable and shredded pork noodles: CNY 16 Vegetarian chicken noodles: CNY 15 Pan-fried buns: about 6 for CNY 20 Shrimp wontons: about CNY 20 There are also various cakes and dumplings: CNY 6 each After dinner, we watched two more fountain + fireworks shows and were amazed again. It was a prosperous and beautiful scene. The four fireworks shows were worth the ticket price! ✴️ Day 3 After breakfast, we went back to the hotel to take a nap. We checked out at 12:00, put our luggage in the car, and continued to play. We took the shuttle bus to the visitor center to take the small train. The Kiln Lake Departure Line has better scenery. It is beautiful during the day, and it may not be necessary to take the Carnival Train, as you will not have time to see the scenery on both sides. The interactive performance is not important to me. In addition, I don't think the Fireworks Train is necessary either, as you can feel the shock of the fireworks more closely at the viewing platform. The 2-in-1 experience with the small train is a bit of a waste. That said, the scenery is beautiful after getting off at Tianjie Station, so it is recommended to visit during the day. You can take photos along the way, and you will come across markets, performances, etc. You can take a stroll back to the hotel and drive home. The whole trip was relaxing and pleasant. It is a good idea to buy a hotel package and take a short trip to relax.
