Rare Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Xi'an - Guangren Temple

Located near the Xi'an city wall, Guangren Temple is one of the few Tibetan Buddhist temples in Xi'an. It was built during Emperor Kangxi's inspection of Shaanxi as a place dedicated to Princess Wencheng (Green Tara). The temple enjoys a thriving incense-burning tradition. Inside, there are inscriptions bestowed by Emperor Kangxi, as well as plaques with writings from Kangxi, Empress Dowager Cixi, Kang Youwei, and Emperor Qianlong. The Buddha statues in each hall are exquisitely crafted. The temple is well-managed with many volunteers, and it has innovative ways of generating income. For instance, scanning the QR code on the Yellow Wealth God card allows visitors to make donations freely.
