Hyatt Regency Xi'an: An Elegant Interpretation of the Silk Road Hyatt Regency Xi'an was designed by Singaporean firm LTW Designworks. The Beijing design team led by Mr. Lim Fengnian drew inspiration from the Silk Road to create an elegant and modern hotel. The designers based their design on the Chinese idiom "a roc spreading its wings." The double-height lobby features textured wooden walls that resemble wings, and a giant feather-like sculpture that extends to the ceiling, reaching a height of 10 meters. The lighting on the ground illuminates the sculpture above, creating a stunning effect. The two scenic elevators on the left side of the reception area are surrounded by metal covers, with laser-cut surfaces that vividly depict scenes of ancient Chinese court life, cleverly blending the rich cultural heritage of this historic city. The desert design concept of the Silk Road extends to the banquet space, with a luxurious spiral staircase in the foyer area and streamlined textured walls that vividly capture the dynamic beauty of sand dunes. The iconic sky bridge connects several Chinese and Western restaurants within the hotel. The all-day dining restaurant, Grand Cafe, features marble countertops, wooden tables and chairs, and soft leather sofas, creating an interactive open space with a lively atmosphere reminiscent of the bustling markets along the ancient Silk Road.
